Amanda, here are a few specific things I’m thankful for on our anniversary…
-I’m thankful you chose to spend the summer of 2000 doing missions instead of lounging by a pool somewhere.
-I’m thankful you canceled your flight from Springfield to Houston to drive twelve hours with someone you had known for a week. I would punch myself in the face if Annabeth did that. No wonder your dad didn’t like me.
-I’m thankful you accidentally told me you wanted to marry me three weeks later.
-I’m thankful you cried when it was time to head back to our respective colleges at the end of the summer.
-I’m thankful for AT&T long distance cell phone bills.
-I’m thankful for through-the-night drives to Texas for weekend visits and the C+ grade point average they produced.
-I’m thankful for 14 long months of engagement.
-I’m thankful that when the doors flew open at the back of the church, you were the one who came out.
-I’m thankful for ten toothbrush holders and paying our rent with the money we got for returning them.
-I’m thankful for four years of just you and me.
-I’m thankful for T-ball sets and footy pajamas.
-I’m thankful for the white house with black shutters I share with the world’s greatest wife.
They say year seven is the hardest. Let’s roll it up, beat it into submission, and show it who’s boss. I love you and would pick you all over again.
“She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.” Prov 31:25

Happy Anniversary to a very special Siesta and her Miesta! What a special guy you are, Curtis. Although Keith may have wanted to smack you back then (I'm not sure that's true-but maybe he was cleaning his gun when you got home!!)I know the Moore's love you now. Have a special day recalling all your memories.
We're glad you two are a family now and wish you a healthy, happy and bright future with many blessings. You're an awesome couple and wonderful parents who love and share Jesus with so many.
Hugs to you both! Bobbie

WOW! Curtis, have you got some fans now! Amanda. you are blessed, but I am sure as he pointed out – he is mighty blessed as well!
I am so blessed to have you and your family's stories to draw inspiration from – because God is truly in your lives and His ways pour through your lives with fullness and consistency.

The part about driving the 12 hours and how he sees it now that he is Annabeth's dad – is GREAT!
that was beautiful! Happy Anniversary…it only gets better.
Awwwwww…Happy Anniversary you two!! We (Siestas) are thankful for you and what you bring to Siestaville…the example you set before us and the honesty in which you do it. We highly esteem you before the Lord this day. Truly, "He is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commands." (Deut. 7:9)

Happy Anniversary! What a SWEET SWEET post!
Yeah- I would say he is a keeper! And mom-in-law, I remember you talking about how this particular man child touches your heart like no other man child. I think we call all see why! Well done my brother in Christ, very well done. I am proud of you! May my own men children grow up and find wives they love as deeply and as honestly.
Happy Anniversary!!! Praise God for bringing you together and blessing you so richly through these years. May His love and favor continue over your marriage and family. In Jesus' Love Kathy Knoblock
I am impressed for a different reason….that Curtis beat Amanda to the blog for an anniversary wish. WOW!!
You both got someone quite impressive in this marriage.
Year seven….grab it by the horns and don't let go. If you are in love with each other, it doesn't matter which year it is, you WILL survive it!!
Since I started reading this blog, I know that LPM celebrates EVERYTHING! I bet some wild celebrations are going on today!
precious!!
my 8th anniversary is tomorrow – year 7 had it's hard points but God is so very faithful!!!
Congrats!
with much love for a beautiful year,
rachel
Can you teach my hubby how to be sweet like that? Happy Anniversary.
Goodness I am already tired because I dropped my son off at the airport after getting up at 4am, sat down to read blogs and read this first….I am bawling and a complete mess. Off to take a nap.
Happy Anniversary, to many many many more.
This alone – "I’m thankful for ten toothbrush holders and paying our rent with the money we got for returning them."–is the stuff of good memory-making.
May God bless you Curtis and Amanda with many, many years serving Him and laughing your heads off at the wonders and quirks of marriage.
LOVE!
PS In 18 years of marriage this August, my Chris and I have only had hard years of life that we've walked through together and never us against one other. We have always stayed on the same team. It is a good place to stay.
amazing!! I can only hope my *new* husband has a list as good as this one waiting for me 7 years down the road…. I'm about to be newlywed of one month and it's been such a blessing!
Not to repeat what others have said, but WOW – that is so sweet. What a blessing to all of us and a reminder of the things to be thankful for.
Thanks for sharing with the likes of all of us.
Happy Anniversary

Wow; what a treasure Curtis is!!! Happy Anniversary to the two of you.
Awww…..that is just precious, Curt! I need a kleenex too.
You two are such neat people! I feel like I know you personally.
My hubby and I will celebrate 30 years next month. I would do it all over again too!
God bless!
Valerie
thanks for making me cry!!! too bad every hubby isn't like you 🙂 by the way, i think 10 was harder than 7 but it too can be beat into submission!!!
ummm…we need to hear amanda's reaction to this!
WOW! I am so tearing up now! * sniff .. sniff .. sniffle .. sniff * I want one of those! Romantic!! Congrats on a beautiful marrige and happy anniversary!!
The toothbrush holder remark made me laugh! It also reminded me of our first year of marriage. We were broke and wieners were the nightly meat on the dinner table. For a variety we learned to bake, boil, grill, and barbecue them. It wasn't funny then but 16 years later it makes for a good laugh.
How romantic! Happy Anniversary!
Awe! That is too sweet!
Happy Anniversary guys!
I KNEW when Beth Moore shared how Curtis washed the feet of his bride-to-be—he was a keeper! (I can't remember which Bible Study it was though)
God is awesome! You all are recipients of His awesomeness!
God bless you all and Happy Anniversary 🙂
Sweet Jesus! What a post! Thanks for sharing your heart with your woman (and a gazillion Siestas)!
Prayers and blessings on your anniversary and always!
Rebecca
Happy Anniversary Curtis & Amanda! May God continue to bless you for many years to come!
Joan
Hust what kind of toothbrush holders were those that paid your rent?
Just remember that Amanda will pass those good instincts on to AnnaBeth one day.
I LOVE this. Thank you for sharing it with all the readers here. Happy Anniversary to you both! We celebrated 17 years on the 13th!
So sweet! Happy Anniversary to you both, enjoy your special day celebrating what God has done in your 7 years – Horray!
Oh me – how precious.
Happy *sniff sniff* Anniversary to y'all!
Happy Anniversary Amanda and Curtis! There's nothing like the blessing of sharing your life with your God-chosen and God-given soul mate. My husband and I will celebrate our 26th anniversary this Thursday, June 18th and I'd marry him all over again. We have two fine sons and our oldest has been married two years to his beautiful bride. Our youngest is engaged. These two lovely young women are everything this mom has prayed for and more. My prayer for you is that God will bless you with many happy years of marriage and ministry together.
Much love to both of you,
Patti Hayes

Omgosh that is beautiful. I just love this guy! Congratulations! May our Jesus bless you and pour His favor on each of you, your marriage and those babies.
Besides being married the next hardest thing in life I am convinced is being married and having babies. As joyous as it is, it is hard work as you well know. The days go slow but the years fly by.
But there is nothing better than still diggin' each other after its all said and done and those babies are out on their own and make no mistake it will happen suddenly.
So as my 21 year old continues to make his way on his own in college and my soon to be Sr. in high school is 9.37 hours away this summer playing ball (a talent and passion that God has knitted into his body and soul) I stand in amazement that I can spend those 9.37 hrs. in the car, each way, with that young boy I married 27 years ago and love every 9.37 hrs. of it.
So as we pulled into the driveway last night at a the wee hour of 2:30 a.m., because we would gladly drive any amount of distant to watch that little man play ball, we could only give thanks and praise Him for the gift of our marriage and great kids. So much work but we would do it all over again in a New York minute if we could! So enjoy the hard work! You will never have more fun…that is, until their married with kids! Woot! Woot!
Theresa
Oh I just want to cry, how sweet!
Seven is nothing. After 23 they keep on getting better.
We are all truly blessed when we know we have the mate that God chose for us.
Happy Anniversary
