G.P. Are You With Me?

We’ve been asked a few times lately what in the world G.P. means. (Beth says it in the Esther videos.) G.P. stands for God’s Property, which is from Kirk Franklin’s song “Stomp.” It’s an LPM favorite. God’s Property is actually the name of the choir that partnered with him on that song. This is not great quality, but here’s the video for you. Enjoy!

Glory, glory!

Amanda, bless your little heart for filling us in on “G.P.”! We had our Bible study yesterday morning and we didn’t have a clue “who” or “what” G.P. was! ha I kept thinking maybe it was one of Beth’s close friends from out of town or something attending that session. Glad to know she was talking to US! I’ll have to fill the ladies in on what it means.

We are absolutely loving Esther! We are getting to know the Bible better, Beth better and each other better!

I loved the literary terms and explanations used in Session 6. Right down my alley!

    Thanks again.

Beth, Thank you so much for explaining GP…our Bible group is doing Esther and didn’t have a clue what GP meant…makes sense now. Love you….

Thanks so much for clearing this up! I was one of those who wrote in asking what G.P. meant. Our bible study group went nuts trying to figure it out. We guessed the following: “God’s Princesses”, “God Papers”, “God’s Peeps” — LOL! Can’t wait to share the true meaning of G.P. with my Sisters during our final Esther session this coming Saturday morning. ๐Ÿ™‚

We love us some Kirk Franklin at Mission Raleigh! If you would like, I can hook ya’ll up with some great titles that our kids (especially our teenagers) just love! I can’t think of anything more “dope” than rapping scripture.

Thank you so much for telling us that Amanda. Not knowing what GP was was driving me crazy and I told the ladies that I would find out for them. So thanks.
I lead a group of about 30 women on Tuesday mornings and we finished Esther last week and this past Tuesday we had a morning of fellowship and watched the movie One Night with the King. It was great to see the differences. Even better to KNOW the difference.
All of us Ladies agree Esther was Beth’s best study yet. We love taking a book of the Bible chapter by chapter, like The Patriarchs. THANK YOU MISS BETH! WE LOVE YOU!

Yep! It was this study and my search for the answer…(I found it in the old blog entries last year)…that caused me to buy that CD AND another Kirk Franklin CD. I love the music, but I can’t dance that good. But it doesn’t stop me from trying! Much to the embarassment of my 11 year old daughter.

    Can I get a witness!?

We just finished the Esther study Tuesday night and were very reluctant to bring it to a close! It’s not tough being a woman when you have siestas who will study with you, pray for you, and love you for who (and Whose) you are!!

When we got to the “G.P.” mentions, about half of us knew what it was and I couldn’t get the song out of my head. Love it and still turn it up when it comes on my local Christian radio station. Thanks for putting up the video,Amanda and Beth – I’m raisin’ that roof right along with you, siesta!

I love it! I’m a 61 year old moving and stomping Grandma for the LORD…G.P. all right! Hey, let’s move it for the LORD…”in Him we live and move and have our being!” We are never to old to keep movin and groovin for the LORD, and I feel His pleasure when I do. Come on, Siestas! Let’s do it for His pleasure, and teach your grandchildren to dance for Jesus too. They love it! They raise their little hands in joy and abandon and we have the best time praising Him.
