Hi Siestas! Several people have suggested that we do Esther for our Siesta Summer Bible Study. I’ve added a poll to our sidebar to see how many of you have already taken it. Would you mind taking a second to give us your answer? The poll will expire in a few days.
Also, I’m excited to tell you that our LPM web site is getting a much needed makeover very soon. My hero, Curtis Jones, is working on that project. (Picture me looking very relieved.) And we have changes in the works for our blog, too. Yeah! Will you pray for us as we go through this process? I will speak for myself and say that I need God to make me much smarter than I am when it comes to all of this. Thanks, sisters! We want to serve you with excellence!
I am floating away in Farog and just wanted to give you my two cents. We are just completing the study and will be done in two weeks. I was thinking of doing it again as a summer study because I want other women to experience it! It is AWESOME. God has really worked in my heart through this study. I cannot even begin to describe how detailed and specific the Lord has gotten with me. It’s a classic, must for any women, any age.
I’m currently doing the “Esther” study, but wouldn’t mind doing it again….it’s so good…there are “jewels” in every lesson…thanks.

Even though I just finished up facilitating this study, I think it would bless so many women that don’t have the opportunity to take it in their communities. It was my favorite so far!! I think it is a great idea and I’ll be telling all my friends to do it if it’s offered! ๐
We finished Esther last week and just loved it! Tomorrow we are having our own “party” and will watch One Night with a King. I am looking forward to discussing with our group (about 15 ladies of all ages)what we know to be true and what is Hollywood. Thank you for another awesome study!
Yes, I would like to do an Ester study this summer with you all.
I would love the opportunity to do the Esther study…it’s the one I have not done. Blessings!
I would love to do the Esther bible study with the siestas this summer!
I haven’t done Esther yet but would love to – or anything else. I’m game for anything you choose. I’ll do Esther either way because it is next on my list.
Thanks for your unending service to us! I’m very grateful for your encouragement.
We just finished up Esther and loved it!!!! The timing of it was just perfect. I even borrowed the session video on ‘mean girls’ for my teenaged daughter to watch. She was mean girled 2 days before her 16th birthday and it was nice to hear what Beth said from someone other than her mom. Thanks for being obedient to the Lord in delivering such timely studies!
another one…
you always have such great insights and it would be like taking the class with you
yeah, that would be fun!

We are in the middle of Esther RIGHT NOW and last week’s video session 4 was mind blowing. Mind BLOWING. I love it so far!! Sarah in Missouri
I am in the 4th week of Esther. I had a real live Haman experience last week. I cried to think that this person I was once married to can hate me this much after so many years. I continue to walk in love.
Kelly Minter have anything new out?
I haven’t done Esther yet.
I am part way through Esther but doing it on my own so I’d love to do it as a Siesta study instead! Our church takes a break on Bible Studies over the summer, so it’s a perfect time for something else.
WAHOO!! A do-over!!! I need that! My daughter and I started Esther (awesome by the way) but we got behind ๐
We kept coming to the class for the insight and videos but where still not getting the wokbook done. Sorry but life has really been beating us down. The videos and the ladies in the class boosted us up weekly.

I had to vote honestly, that I am finishing Esther again, but PLEASE oh PLEASE do this study this summer, I want to do it again! I am sure there is so much I have missed. The Lord has used this study so mightily in my life, I want to lead it this fall, but I want to go through it individually again first! Each week, I was shocked to find Beth addressing something that directly met me where I was that day!
I would love to do Esther with the Siestas this summer!
We just finished Esther! Amazing study! Thank you for posting GP…it was driving us crazy!! We had guessed all kinds of things!
What a blessing it was!
Much love sent your way!

I would love to do Esther together with the siestas this summer. Yes, I am in!

I am taking Esther right this very moment… loving it!
We just finished Esther. I really enjoyed last summer doing a “non-Beth” study WITH Beth. That would be my vote again – something different with Beth. My small group stops meeting in the summer but I find that if I am not in a study I start going off the deep end…
We just finished Esther last week. I told our leader I was going to stop doing Thursday homework because it was tearing me up. The one where we had to look up all the scripture about what we are in God and how He sees us? I sat at my kitchen table and bawled my eyes out.
I would love to do Esther. I started it in January but only got through the first week before I had to drop out due to a family illness. I was really sad about not finishing it and would dearly love to have a chance to do it with the Siestas!
I’m up for anything ya’ll feel the Lord leading you to do. Would be a real blessing for me to have the author leading out:)

The ladies in my neighborhood loved Kelly Minter’s study and therefore they will love this.
We are currently doing Esther on Monday nights. Oh, how God has placed us in this study “for such a times as this”. The night that we listened to “It’s tough being a woman in the tight grip of fear” was so significant to our group. One of our siestas would see her doctor the next day( her birthday) and get the news that she has colon cancer. Lisa says that “Esther came at the perfect time for her, reminding her how strong she was in the face of fear” She shares with our group each week how thankful she is that she is His. Another precious mom in our group lost her son 2 years ago 3/23/07. Jason Ray was the mascot for the North Carolina Tarheels, he was struck by a car and died days later. Jason was an organ donor and many lives were saved through his selfless gift. She is a woman of courage, she has faced the fear and took courage only because of who God is. I thank God for such a time as this, thank you Beth, Amanda and the countless others who have poured so much into this study
I vote for the Esther study.
I’m currently doing the Esther Study at my church on Wednesday nights and I’m loving it, so are the women in my group. We’ve only got 3 weeks left. I would recommend it to everyone.
God has a plan and purpose for each one of our lives. He is extending His hand, just reach out and take it.
“For such a time as this.”
I have not had the privilege of doing Esther yet and would love to!
It will be so awesome to be able to study Esther with my Siestas. Started it and then classes started back and was unable to keep up. I want have any classes this summer and will be able to take part.
Yes, I did it over Christmas break…the women’s ministry study that I am involved with at my church takes a long break from the week before Thanksgiving until after New Years…but of course that would not be wise for ME to take a break from studying God’s word daily…talk about a sure trip to the pit…so I decided to do the Esther study in order to preview it for the summer study I host in my home each year–this will be the 15th annual…so although I did it by myself already I am looking forward to going through it with marvelous comrades…and know I will get even more out of it the second time…so I for one, think it would GREAT for it to be the summer study offering from LPM.
Yes, I just finished facilitating the Ester study. I learned so much!
Are you kidding? If the ink is dry – I am THERE ! I sometimes have to drive 4-5 hours to see a client and it is understood that I don’t leave home without BETH ! My husband will call me while I am on the road and say ” turn Beth down for a minute so you can hear me “! So, yes, I have done Esther and, of course – it was vintage Beth
I would absolutely love to, but our church is doing it in the Fall, our next BIG bible study. Our church was destroyed in Hurricane Katrina, and we will finally have a church home again by fall – and Ester is our “grand-opening” bible study. So, I think I’d better wait for the rest of the ladies at church!
Doing Esther right now; just finished lesson 7 last night and am basking in Isaiah 30:18. I’ve shared it with so many waiting persons.
I would LOVE to do the Esther study. Just let us know what we need to do to get ready! Thanks!
We are currently in the Esther study, session seven tomorrow night. Love it GP!

My group is finishing Esther next week.
I have not been able to do “Esther” yet, but I would love to do it with the siestas!
I have learned so much doing “Esther”; both the scripture and about myself. We have 2 more weeks to complete Esther with a group in my church, but I would love to do it this summer with the Siestas! Several in our group have said they would like to do this study again. I wasn’t involved with the LPM Blog last summer, so don’t know how that works – but would love to be involved. I’m sure there is much that could be gained in a repeat study.

Since I’m a fairly new “Siesta”, I’m not sure how the summer bible study works, but I would LOVE to do Esther! Count me in!
We’re hoping to do Esther this fall as a large group — we take summers off so I’m looking for something other than Esther for the summer. The False Gods study last year had such a great impact on my faith.
My bible study group has two weeks left on Esther. It’s been such a fabulous study. Seems like every time I do one of Beth’s studies it becomes my new fave. I’ve done practically all of her studies more than once and God always has something new to say to me each time. So I certainly won’t mind diving right back into Esther :o)
I did the Esther Bible Study here in Houston with all the Houston Girls. It was great. It would be wonderful for those who have never done Esther before. Many times I think of Esther and her strength and courage. Of course we had a wonderful bible study teacher in our Beth!

Overcome…
Thank you!
Esther is the MOST AMAZING study I have done so far! God most definitely had his hand in this when I decided to do it. I could go on forever about how wonderful it has been. Praise God when he laid it on Beth’s heart to write this study!!!!
We are enjoying Esther right now.
I am hoping to do we the updated study on the tabernacle next.
It would be interesting to Esther
with a different group to see how they view things.
We just finished Esther and LOVED it – I have grown so much because of it!
I’d think it would be fun to try a different one this summer.
I am leading an Esther study and we are 1/2 way through now. I’ll still do it again or anything else you choose to study because I learn different things when I have a different discussin group. I’m game for anything. Esther is a great study by the way!
