Esther Poll

Hi Siestas! Several people have suggested that we do Esther for our Siesta Summer Bible Study. I’ve added a poll to our sidebar to see how many of you have already taken it. Would you mind taking a second to give us your answer? The poll will expire in a few days.

Also, I’m excited to tell you that our LPM web site is getting a much needed makeover very soon. My hero, Curtis Jones, is working on that project. (Picture me looking very relieved.) And we have changes in the works for our blog, too. Yeah! Will you pray for us as we go through this process? I will speak for myself and say that I need God to make me much smarter than I am when it comes to all of this. Thanks, sisters! We want to serve you with excellence!

I would love to take the Esther Bible study with the Siestas this summer. I am so dry and thirsty for another Beth study. I have the workbook already, but no local Bible study is doing it. This would be an answer to prayer for me.

I will pray for your blog and website makeover project.

Our Bible Study Group is just finishing up Esther. I can't even begin to tell you how much this has led me thru a very spiritual time in my life. I have been in the pit and have finally been led out … dusting off my britches and starting anew. Esther has truly been a gift to me for "such a time as this"! Thank you Beth, Melissa & Amanda for all your wonderful work … God Bless you all!

Our Wednesday morning group finished the last Esther lesson last week. This week, we had a mini-feast of food from that region, while we watched some of the DVD extras with Beth. (We loved the discussion/interview with the Rabbi!!)
We have spring break and then on to “Believing God”, as we have many who want to do this study again, as well as many new students. Such a blessing!!
    Thank you, Beth!!

Just yesterday, I finished my last Esther lesson. WOW! I was just blown away with the insight of how Haman’s edict went out just as the Jews were preparing for Passover. (In fact, it was so special that when I was doing my study, in my local coffee shop, I asked the Lord to bring someone who I could share this precious insight with. After all, we can’t keep blessings to ourselves! ๐Ÿ™‚ We have been blessed to be a blessing. Just as soon as I prayed my prayer, a local pastor came in and I was able to share this with him.)

In my heart, I continually thank our Lord Jesus Christ that He created Beth Moore and has gifted her so. My heart is so filled with joy as I do her studies. They are amazing!

“Stepping Up” was the first Beth Moore study that I have ever done with my local church. After doing that study, I was so hungry that I did “Daniel” on my own. Then I did the “Esther ” study with my church ladies’ Bible study.

Before doing these Bible studies, I was wondering if I was spiritually dead. But ever since the first study, the Fire has been raging! ๐Ÿ™‚ (A dear sister tried to assure me that I was just going through a dry period. Well, I guess dry wood produces the best fires! ๐Ÿ˜‰ LOL

It is so clear to me that, through Beth’s obedience, our Lord is preparing many of His children for such a time as this! PRAISE YOU JESUS!

The group I'm in is finishing Anointed, Transformed, Redeemed. The leaders plan to offer Esther later in 2009. I'm interested in Jennifer Rothschild's Me Myself & Lies, but perhaps you're looking for a study that is less video-driven. I'll probably study along with whatever you choose.

I would so love to do Esther this summer with the Siesta’s. My husband bought it for me this Christmas and I have struggled with doing it. I have learned I NEED accountability or I just do not get it done. I don’t have a group here to do it with and doing it with the Siesta’s sounds FABULOUS!

I just finished doing Esther with my church this week.

I have to tell you Beth, I think you have topped yourself. It was absolutely incredible.

And I want to tell you THANK YOU, because, I have not laughed in a long long time, but during Esther, you actually made me laugh several times, and boy did I need that. Plus it was just what I needed at this time in my life. Thank you so, so much.

We are currently on week 5 of Esther and although it has been wonderful!!!! I would agree with another poster- Maybe Experencing God, I have heard that is such a great study, but find it hard to understand, which I know Beth, you would help make it clearer!! Or perhaps your favorite of the old ones, that we could try it fresh and now that we are further along, or maybe something on Getting out of the Pit, that book was great. Just an idea, I will do whatever you do. I truly thank God, he put you in my life.

I finished Esther study last week and loved it. Don’t mind doing the study again, as I do some of Beth’s several times. They never grow old, and learn something new every time, since it is God’s Word, living and active!

However, I agree with several other siestas, could we have something lighter for summer?

I’ve always wanted to do some of Jennifer Rothchild’s studies. “Walking by Faith:Lessons I’ve learned in the Dark sounds good, since it doesn’t appear to be video-driven. I’ve not read any of her books yet, but watched an interview of her on tv and was moved to tears by her faith.

For the new website design, pleeese leave the archives. My favorite post was Calling all Book Nerds! I’ve read 7 new books recommended by the siestas since then and they were wonderful! Thank you!!

We are currently on week six of Esther. LOVING IT!. It is amazing how it is touching our hearts. We are all royalty “for the bloodline of Christ runs through our veins”. Wait till you see the picture of our group on my blog. We are crowned in Glory!! Travis’s daughter, Lillie Kate, would just love it. (I am sorry if I got Travis’s daughter’s name wrong.) And we will continue to wear our crowns to our Bible Study.

We are so grateful for the way God’s Word is made very real through your studies and hard work. Thanks for all you do Mama Beth, Amanda, Melissa and Lifeway Team.

    Love, Lori

We just finished Esther this past week. We capped off our study by watching “One Night with the King” and of course a potluck. We discussed the “Hollywood” version with the Biblical version. Our group of ladies are the Military Spouses from the same area Beth visited over 10 years ago in the UK area (RAF Mildenhall/RAF Lakenheath). Thanks Beth for a great study that made us all realize our royal blood line.

I just finished leading our 72 women through Esther. Our last session was Thursday night. It was a great study and we enjoyed it so very much!! Praise God there are several of us (with God’s help) who are turning things around….the Chiastic Structure thang…..love it!!

We will do a 3 week part of “Wising Up” beginning April 16 and looking forward to that one also.

We did Anointed, Transformed, Reedeemed last fall. For those who would like a fresh look at David…this is the one.

We have three Esther studies going on at our church! We are so blessed! Even so, I think it would be a great opportunity for those siestas unable to gather with a group at a specific time of day. I think that it would be a great study for the summer in siestaville! It would be “tough” to turn down studying the book of Esther again. Just so much in this book that God still wants to show me!

I’m currently doing the study of Esther on my own for my devotional time. I cannot even begin to tell you what a timely study it is for me. It’s tough being a woman-PERIOD! But to be a woman as a single mother of 4 children , work full time, make time for church, church related activities, and then all the other extras that seem to crop up every week can be require more courage than I’ve got on my good days! What a blessing to know that God shows up for those days-for every single minute-every single day! Thank you Beth, for using your gift for teachng -I’ve learned more than what I can share from you!Keep teaching me!!!!!!I have such a desire to know God better!

We are just about to finish studying Esther (and LOVING this study!!). I absolutely love it and while I’d love to re-visit in the the future, I don’t know that I want to do it again so quickly. I really enjoyed last summer because I most likely never would have done NOG without LP setting it up for us – I’d love to be introduced to a new author again this summer!!
