If she didn’t have a Bible study class to teach tonight, I know Bethie would be on here right now talking about how much fun she had meeting so many Siestas in Atlanta. (You almost got a post from her last night but she decided to cook dinner for us instead. Sorry, but it was really good!) She told me she had a blast and that all of you were hilarious. Thanks to Lisa/The Preacher’s Wife and my co-worker KMac for supplying pictures.
Miesta Moose made an appearance!
I’m now 17 days away from my due date, but who’s counting? It’s not like I’m getting impatient or anything! I had an ultrasound yesterday and Baby Girl looks great. Today I got my highlights done, so we are one step closer to being ready. Y’all, I went into the salon as prepared as possible. I didn’t take a pickle jar or a bottle of Sprite, but on this very spring-like day I did take a big jacket to tie around my waist if necessary. Thank you for that tip! The princess got a little excited while my hair was getting foiled and I was just praying she wouldn’t knock anything loose! I cannot think of worse timing than to have chemicals and aluminum in one’s hair when labor begins. I don’t want to scare my daughter when she sees me for the first time. I’d rather her first thought be that, indeed, she has a beautiful inhairitance. (Ps. 16:6, ESV) (That was for my mom, whose love language is speaking in puns.)
I need to get ready to pick up my boy from mother’s day out, but I have to share this real quick. Last night Curt was getting Jackson ready for bed and I overheard him ask if he’d ever seen an angel. Jackson said, “Yes.” Then Curt said, “Well, what did the angel look like?” Jackson said, “Mommy.” Is that not so precious? Don’t think VVPG didn’t almost start crying! Y’all have a great Tuesday!
Bethie, Mama Beth, Siesta and Cloggin’ friend~
What a joy it was to meet you this Sunday and so many of my other Siesta’s. It was a time that will forever be etched in my memory. I think my personal favorite was the worship we had with you right there by us. You were a little higher but you purposefully made eye contact with us and we knew you were worshipping with your siestas the closest you could!!
Continuing to lift you up as you follow Him into all that He has for you and as you become Bibby to a little mini siesta!
Okay, first off I think Jackson is probably right in calling you an Angel, too sweet. Secondly, the pun is awesome. Third, did Beth get blonder, and I have to ask does she clog? I’m wondering from the posts on here. I sure wished I could have been in Atlanta! Lastly, thanks to your whole family for following God’s calling!!
Love,
Amber
Amanda,
That Jackson is so precious! I am so happy for you all and your hair appt woes is cracking me up!
We had so much fun seeing Beth pop in at our luncheon. She is so precious. Praying for you girl! Girls are so fun. I have two.
Also, when are we starting that clogging group anyway??!! LOL!
Much love,
Angela
The Southern Siestas that were at the Travis taping have a present for you, Amanda! I’ll be sending it to the LPM office this week!
We didn’t forget about you at all!
You were on all our hearts…you’re the #1 reason why we all are cloggers…or Salsa Sisters…or “those blogging people!”
Just keep checking the mail, okay?
There are no words that could even begin to describe how awesome this weekend was!! I so wish you could have been there but totally understand why you didn’t make it! If you saw your sweet mom showing off her mad clogging skillz, you may have gone into labor right then and there!! Too funny! Oh why didn’t I have my video camera on?!?!
And Travis…well, all I can say about that is I hope that we don’t have to wait too long for it to come out on cd and dvd!! That was so great!
Missed you!!
Nikki
Shoot Fire!!! (as my mom would say). I so-o-o-o-o-o wanted to be there with y’all last weekend, but God had other plans for me.
Still. . . I think I should be photoshopped in the group picutre (lol). Seriously, y’all look beautiful–you’re glowing!
Hang in there AJ. It’s getting very, very close. Praying for you girlfriend.
much love,
~Cheryl
Amanda,
I’m a bit of a newbie here, but I am so exited for you and your little girl. After 3 boys I had a girl 3 years ago – it was such a precious time

England, U.K.
Oh Amanda, that’s because you DO look like an angel to Jackson. You are so sweet, how could he not?? One of my boys, when they were little, said that about me and I just bawled I thought it was so pecious!!
You are consantly in my prayers right now dear one…..remember, His Power is made perfect in our weakness!! Yey God!!!!
It looks like they had an awesome time in GA!!! Amanda ~ SO happy for you to have your hair done. Just a great feeling to get the roots taken care of BEFORE the baby arrives. Do not want to hit that hospital before you can get the hair and toes taken care of! 🙂
Precious! Write it down so you can read it when he’s a teenager and is embarrased to be seen with you 🙂
I too wish I had known about the siesta lunch in time to be part of it. Oh well. maybe next time.
I got to hear the message and the music and that’s what we were really there for right? a fresh outpouring of God in our lives. and oh wow did He pour Himself out all over that arena.
350 new compassion kids got sponsors that night!!!
Girl! I am not preggers….not even close….and I teared up! Such a sweet little boy! I missed the story behind Miesta Moose….but I’ll look for it 🙂
Siesta Mama, Love your hair color!
I see that everyone looks to be really happy in the group picture. I know there was a Jesus show there for Travis, Beth and the Siestas!!!! So here is a shout out to the Lord…Thank you Father for Being with everyone.
VPG… I am sure you look fab now with toes and fingers done and now hair too! Your daughter will think her Queen Mom is the most beautiful women ever! And what fun you will have with her… I started my little princess getting her nails done at 3. She and I had the best mom and daughter days when she was trying to be a little lady.
By the way Bethie your hair looks awesome in this picture. The color rocks..
Amanda I am praying great grace through the rest of your pregnancy and if you happen to have her on the 11th then wooohoo I will be sharing my b-day with someone really special!!!…
And Jackson… is there not anything more special than to have your little one think you are an angel… makes my heart swell up big….
Have an awesome day!
Much love to your family….
Lichelle
How PRECIOUS!!!
I was just curious, how have you all prepared Jackson for Baby Girl? I’m having Baby #2 in a couple months and just wondering how to prepare my lil guy.
Jennifer
This weekend was such a blast!
We had so many laughs and God was definitely present!
He showed up in our precious time together/fellowship
He showed up at worship with Travis – AMAZING!!
And what a sweet blessing to have Mama Beth take the time to say hello – that was so fun!
And let me tell you we laughed and had so much fun together
My favorite was when she was playing with my hair – that is so my love language 🙂
And Amanda – I am covering you in prayer! I love that you are getting ready to meet your sweet princess
I know she will be in awe of seeing her beautiful momma!
And Jackson – a boy can really steal a momma’s heart can’t he?!?!
Many blessings
Kim
Love the posts Amanda. Thank you to all of you for sharing your lives with us. I cannot wait til we are all together and can just talk nonstop. Do you think heaven can stand it??? Will be praying for a speedy and safe delivery and a breaking of the water so as to not humiliate you….:)
Our God is god isn’t he??!!!!
Blessings,
Bible Bunny in Frigid No MI
Beth, it does appear you have gone blond!
Amanda, INHAIRITANCE! My heart is flooded! I am reflecting on the last 29 years and, truly, I do not think I have ever loved you more. Oh, that the Princess will come from generational inhairitance!
love what jackson said but even more i love beth’s hair….looks like heaven came down and glory filled her hair!!!!
Amanda, since you said you weren’t going last night I am gonna tattle on your mom. She said “peeps” again.
I was there this weekend too and it was great. Wish I coulda run into some bloggers along the way.
Oh how I wish Bethie and the gang would come somewhere near Indianpolis… make a visit to the Ohio Valley… hint, hint!
Got my hair foiled yesterday as well… and yes, that would be an awful time for labor to begin!
Glad ya’ll had such a great weekend!
With Love from Snowy Indianapolis!
Awwwwwww! Sweet Jackson. He’s gonna be the best big brother. So glad you got more of your preparation list done. Highlights are very important and I know that sweet little princess will see what a wonderful inhairitance she has.
Me and Siesta Sharron made a flying trip to FBC Woodstock Sunday after Sunday School with our hubbies and returned that same night after the concert. It was well worth the 7 hours traveled. Travis, the praise team, the choir, and Beth were awesome! I just can’t wait for the CD/DVD now! We hated to miss the luncheon, but hopefully we will get another opportunity and maybe you can join us, too.
Blessings to you and your sweet family!
Love you!
Dianne
Siesta OC, Breaking Free first and Believing God immediately after! The whole time I wrote Believing God, I saw it as Part 2 of Breaking Free. Thanks for asking!
Mamma Beth, your hair in this photo holding the moose is just hair perfection… LOVE IT. Always good to get those days on film…
Y’all made me so happy about my hair color! Actually I’ve been wondering if I was letting it get too blonde…but to heck with that! I’m keeping it!
I loved the “inhairitance”!! Still makes me laugh. It also reminded me of something my 6 y.o. son said the other day. He and his father were reading in the book of John and they began discussing the disciples. When my son was asked if he could remember any of the disciples he replied, “Judas the Scariest”. We’ve chuckled about it ever since.
What wonderful pictures! I’m so happy to find this blog! I have ALWAYS loved Beth Moore and we are both from the same small town! I have added this site to the links on my blog! Thank you!
You know I distinctly remember studying the Five Love Languages and I don’t remember puns being one of them, but I always did think that Gary Chapman forgot a few when he wrote that book. When my sunday school class got the book I flipped through frantically and then frowned sullenly. I said, “My love languages aren’t in here! I see nothing about chocolate and shopping!” Actually it sort of is. It’s called receiving gifts and that is one of my love languages. The other one is words of affirmation. I told my husband I’m easy to please. All you have to do is buy me stuff and tell me how wonderful I am. My daughter has a shirt that says, “Buy me something…And I’ll be nice.” I think I should try to find a shirt like that for me. My
husband has 2 also. His are physical touch and acts of service. You know what that means! All the laundry and dishes done and the house spotless and then I still have to have enough energy left for you know what. I’m telling you. I think I’m way easier to please. My need for physical touch was almost non-existent on the test and his need for gifts was almost non-existent. Doesn’t that just figure. We’re nothing alike I tell you.
Dear Amanda,
I have ben so busy have not read the blog for weeks, but I am praying for you and so excited for that little baby and you!
Just know I am pray for you and the Holy Spirit put those prayers in there.
XOXOXOXOXOXOXO
Thank you to Ms. Siesta Mama for answering my question. I was thrilled! I thought,
“this is the most exciting thing ever!”
You realize you are a rock star!
And to http://truthsharer.blogspot.com
What a blessing your email was, really just made me feel so grateful to have another Siesta pour out like that.
May the LORD bless you both,
Siesta OC
I’m sorry Beth, did you say you were questioning the amount of blond in your hair?
Never question blond!
Blond is a blessing! On you especially!
How fun! Love the group pic! I soooo wish I could’ve joined the Southern Siestas (I live in SC) but I have precious 3-week-old twin boys keeping me busy! Hopefully next time …
It lifted me up to hear a son call his mommy his angel…I almost cried. I have 2 sons that are not saved and would appreciate anyone praying for them.
I’m new to your ministry Beth and love what you teach…the stories that really hit home and lift me up in my relationship with Jesus Christ.
I wish you could be on TV daily but know that is very expensive.
I heard you on TV this week telling the story of you going down stairs to a bathroom and the power going out. You were scared and your husband came and you held out your hands and he came to you.
You then said that God is waiting for us to hold out our hands and he’ll come to us. I just keep thinking of that and that’s the desire of my heart.
I’ve had some issues about not trusting men and sometimes it’s hard to believe that God could love me unconditionally…that’s my prayer that somehow God will show me in some small way that He is always with me and will not leave me…
Thanks again for your ministry.
If you have any kind of regular emails sent to us, I would like to be on that mailing list.
In Christ, Darlene
