Siesta Group Picture

If she didn’t have a Bible study class to teach tonight, I know Bethie would be on here right now talking about how much fun she had meeting so many Siestas in Atlanta. (You almost got a post from her last night but she decided to cook dinner for us instead. Sorry, but it was really good!) She told me she had a blast and that all of you were hilarious. Thanks to Lisa/The Preacher’s Wife and my co-worker KMac for supplying pictures.

Miesta Moose made an appearance!

I’m now 17 days away from my due date, but who’s counting? It’s not like I’m getting impatient or anything! I had an ultrasound yesterday and Baby Girl looks great. Today I got my highlights done, so we are one step closer to being ready. Y’all, I went into the salon as prepared as possible. I didn’t take a pickle jar or a bottle of Sprite, but on this very spring-like day I did take a big jacket to tie around my waist if necessary. Thank you for that tip! The princess got a little excited while my hair was getting foiled and I was just praying she wouldn’t knock anything loose! I cannot think of worse timing than to have chemicals and aluminum in one’s hair when labor begins. I don’t want to scare my daughter when she sees me for the first time. I’d rather her first thought be that, indeed, she has a beautiful inhairitance. (Ps. 16:6, ESV) (That was for my mom, whose love language is speaking in puns.)

I need to get ready to pick up my boy from mother’s day out, but I have to share this real quick. Last night Curt was getting Jackson ready for bed and I overheard him ask if he’d ever seen an angel. Jackson said, “Yes.” Then Curt said, “Well, what did the angel look like?” Jackson said, “Mommy.” Is that not so precious? Don’t think VVPG didn’t almost start crying! Y’all have a great Tuesday!

I wish that I had known about that lunch! That is so sweet what Jackson said! I hope my girls think that about me! FYI my 17 year old sister informed a little while ago that her HIGH SCHOOL Bible study group that has a college facilitator is starting Daniel soon. How cool is that?

How completely sweet! I can’t wait to start writing down the cute things my baby Sarah will do. This VVPG is very very ready to hold her baby girl in her arms…and not in her belly! As feisty as she is there are times I’m about ready to get a restraining order against her. Don’t suppose it would work though. ๐Ÿ˜‰

VVPG has a sweet boy who is going to be a wonderful big brother. You don’t really need it, but you have permission from all of us to cry all you want and we’ll even cry with you. Actually, after reading the comments on the other post, I’m surprised you didn’t laugh yourself into labor – although I don’t know if that has ever happened.
We can hardly wait to see pics of Curt’s, Jackson’s and your
VVPG – very very precious girl!

So, Amanda, what is Beth holding in her hand? I see a “bird” but can’t quite make out what exactly that is? I’m a detail person – sorry – I might have made a good detective!!

PS: If that is a “Bird Thing” – then God put that in the photo just for me! Thanks Beth!!

Moose, I’m looking forward to you coming home, buddy. I see you are in good hands. I know you have always had a “thing” for Beth. You’ll have to settle for seeing her once or twice a year. Sadly, me too.

Wish I had benn thee, too. Looks like fun.
I totally understand the “momma” impatience. I gave birth last year on Feb. 1. It could not have come fast enough. Not just feeling soooooo huge, but just couldn’t wait to see the little guy. He was a month early, but weighed 7 lbs. Can’t believe the year is almost gone. He and his brother are our joy second only to Christ. Can’t wait to hear that your little bundle has arrived.
Almost forgot, my friend downloaded one of Beth’s lessons on her husband’s MP3 player. She had not gotten her’s yet. He has been fussing at her asking why is “Betty Moore” talkig on his Ipod. We have laughed and laughed and now Beth is loving our “Betty Moore.”

Your sweet little Jackson! That is just one of the most precious things I’ve ever heard. I would have been sobbing if I were 9 months pregnant and my baby said that. Way to hold it together, girl!

Atlanta was 675 different kinds of awesome and I’m SO happy your sweet Mama had a few extra minutes to pop in on us.

    LOTS OF LOVE!

    Sherry says:

    Great pics!

Your telling about having your hair foiled and then fearing going into labor at that moment reminded me of the old Disney movie “Fifth Avenue Irregulars”. It made me think of the part where Cloris Leachman’s character was getting her hair highlighted with a cap. She gets a call to help capture some crooks and jumps in her car with her hair still pulled through the cap and a cape still around her neck. Her fingernails are very long and well manicured. She wrecks her car, breaks several nails and that causes her to go into a rage. Woe be to the crooks! Hilarious!

Well, this is one worry behind you ๐Ÿ™‚

    Blessings.

But I can’t wait to go get more hilites put in. I feel like I’m missing something!! LOL!

OK- Amanda – are you playing with me? Did you add that close-up photo of Miesta Moose? Because that was not on the original post that I viewed. First of all, Amanda, you just have to love on that boy, don’t you?!?! That blessed my heart and I know it did yours.

As far as Sunday, I don’t even know that I can put it in to words…. I am sad that I missed the siestas and didn’t get to meet Bethmoore, but after a few minutes, I forgot all that and had one of the most worshipful nights of my life. It was me and God and I praised him from where I was in my life, with my whole being. I’m just glad that the rest of you got to enjoy it too. LOL ๐Ÿ™‚

Travis brought the Lord some praise Sunday night!! One of my favorite moments came at the end of one particularly moving song as Beth was being so sensitive to God’s moving before she spoke. In that stillness, a little boy no older than your Jackson spoke right behind me in a rather loud voice, “Mom, she looks like a giraffe!” Of course he must have been speaking of her DARLIN’ jacket, but it was hysterical! I’m convinced God cracked up too!

This is completely off the subject but I started Esther last week and Beth talks about the XX chromosomes. I couldn’t help but notice that the two XX’s side by side make a diamond shape in the middle. No wonder diamonds are a Girls best friend, well Jesus really is in my world but I do love alittle bling now and then. No wonder we love diamonds so, It is in our genes.Love the the study so far. And Amanda,I had a friend who carried a towel with her everywhere her last tri-semester. I have to admit I got tickled every time she brought that thing out. It was a VVPG’s security blanket.
