Prayer Request for Bible Study

Hi ladies! I wanted to let you all know what a big night this is for your LPM siestas so you can be praying. We are kicking off “LIT,” which is our fall Bible study series. (Registration is closed.) My mom and Melissa are co-teaching a class of about 150 18-25-year-old ladies and it will begin tonight. Next Tuesday Curtis will kick off his ungraded class for men and women. We are so excited! Please pray for Beth and Melissa as they begin their class tonight. Please also pray for the young ladies who will join us this fall. Our Bible study coordinator is Jennifer Hamm, in case you want to lift her up by name. She is awesome and works so hard! Okay, gotta run. I have to leave the house in 15 minutes and I’m not even close to being ready! Story of my life. Thanks, sisters!

    Dearest Heavenly Father,

We do come to Your mighty throne of “More than Enough” and ask Your richest blessings upon the new Bible study. Lord, for every student, may their eyes be opened and their hearts receptive to all that You have in store for them. We bind the attacks of the enemy so that every person You intend to be there will be there. We ask that You pour Your Holy Spirit all over the assembly room so that the sense of awe and wonder will be felt immediately. We pray that each participant will be eternally changed. We ask for Your anointing upon Your teachers, Beth and Melissa, that they will teach Your Word with the power of life that it contains. Father, we jsut pray for total abandonment from all that keeps us from Your fullness and glory. We are excited for the incredible work that You have already begun regarding this study and that the fruit therof will be made manifest in each life. Thank you for dear precious ones like Jennifer who work so diligently behind the scenes. For those who poured out petitions and prayers, please bless them for their diligence. Thank you for those who serve with a true servant’s heart; not for man’s applause but out of obedience and love for You! Bless all of the LPM Staff for their faithfulness to You and to the Body of Christ Jesus.

Finally Lord, we can hardly contain ourselves as we think about the new Bible study LIT. How appropriately it is named. I so remember hearing Your precious princess, Beth, for the first time years ago at Second Baptist Church in Katy, Texas, and You O God LIT a fire in me that continues to flame. I fell in love with You and Your Holy Word in a way I never knew possible. Thank you, Sweet Lord!

Please protect Melissa as she travels back and forth each week. I pray for a hedge of protection on Beth and Curt and Melissa as they teach and bring a life changing Word that will totally transform many hearts. We life each family member up to You for Divine protection and favor.

I pray for an unquenchable flame to be LIT for all who seek and desire more of You! You are so worthy to be praised and I lift Your Holy name on high! I love you so much, Jesus, and I praise You for loving me and saving me! May Your will be done!!!
Blessed be the name of the LORD!!

In the name of Jesus- the name above all names- we pray!
    AMEN!!!

    Father,

Put your hedge of protection around everyone involved in the Bible study series tonight. May Your wonderful Holy Spirit permeate every crevice of each life and fill them to overflowing. May YOUR WORD be spoken, taught, and received tonight.

Because of this study, LORD ALMIGHTY, may there be such a fire kindled that no one can quench it…may it bring revival.

Finally, LORD, be with Beth and Melissa tonight. May they be filled with Your Spirit so that the only thing coming out of their lips is what You want spoken. Father, thank You for Jennifer Hamm who coordinated everything for the study. Bless her life to the full.

Praying for all… especially Melissa, Jennifer, Mama Beth and the many people involved in making this class possible.

May the Holy Spirit fall in the sanctuary tonight and reveal Himself in the details of becoming Biblically literate. I pray a special anointing on Melissa and Beth as God prepares the hearts of the young women who will be attending the class tonight.

I pray right now for Curtis, Lord and the preparation you are doing in advance for the group He will be leading next week. God, again, prepare their hearts like fertile grand to receive all that you have for them in a season of growth and understanding. Give Curt wisdom and direction and boldness as he teaches and cover Him with your favor.

May Your Word be quickened and the beauty of Your plan be illuminated in each and every life. God be HUGE in these two groups! LIT With a passion for Your Word, LIT with the all Consuming Fire of Your Spirit… LIT!

I ask that Your perfect and holy will would be accomplished through Your humble servants and that Your glory would increase in the days ahead! Raise up this generation… Lord, Raise them up! AMEN.

    Amanda,
I trust the kick off for “LIT” was greater than your hightest expectation. It is going to be so much fun to read your posts about what God is doing this semester. I will be praying for the Bible study leaders and the entire team who are working so hard.

Today, I heard a dear brother in Christ needs our prayers. His name is Pr. Vladimir Pyvovar. He is one of God’s mighty warriors in Ukraine. He had a wonderful summer working with mission teams ministering to the children of Andrushevka. God has given him a great vision for church planting. Buddy Barnett, with Ukraine Challenge, asked us to pray for Vladimir who has come under great spiritual attack. May our Lord lift his head, renew his strength, and remind Vladimir the battle is not his but the Lord’s.

    Yours in Christ,
    Mary

Hope all went well with your study tonight! I love a new Bible Study! We just had our first meeting tonight, starting Daniel! Yea! We are excited! Some of the ladies are regulars but we also have some new ones as well. There are 10 of us, which makes 11 when I count myself! I am also leading a Thursday night study here at my house for local neighbors. There will be 8 ladies attending that one. I love fall and I love Bible Study! I will be praying for your class. I would love to do a class like that myself!

I will pray for your studies and the people who are teaching and the ones who are learning.
I will also pray for Icky Ike to take a huge detour and leave you alone. I have never known anyone who lived down there, so hearing about the storms never touched me. Well I know a bunch of people now, and I want you all to be safe and secure.
That is what I will pray for; “make Ike leave my friends alone. Make sure that they know that they are loved and supported here on earth. Make sure that they know You are loving and supporting them. Thank You, Jesus, amen.

    Kristy says:

I will be praying for all of you. Also, just a request, I would LOVE Beth would decide to put this study in print. When I became a Christian, almost 9 yrs ago, I did not know a thing, and would have loved a class like this. I have often thought of teaching one in my home, for unbelievers and new Christians, answering any questions they may have and teaching them the basics of the bible. But, as a mother of 3, without a research team, I know it would take a long time to get all that I need together. Anyway, how exciting! Let us know how it is going!

    Hiker Mama says:

    Amanda,
I will pray for your study if you pray for ours! Our ladies group is starting the new Jennifer Rothchild study tonight. Janet Cline, AKA JayCee, will be facilitating the study. Please pray that we will be strengthened by God’s word as we move into this new season.
We are all eagerly anticipating the the release of “Esther”. I will be camping out on the sidewalk in front of Lifeway to be the first in St. Louis to receive a copy.
May the Lord bless you and your mother and the rest of the LPM staff and all that attend your study, richly….
    Love Ya’ll,

I’ll be praying! Can’t wait to hear more about it.
Our church ladies’ fall Bible study started this past Mon.
We always do Beth Moore studies but this time we are doing Priscilla Shirer’s “Discerning the Voice of God.” (we’re waiting for Esther to be released for our spring study)
The ladies really enjoyed Priscilla and the lesson was very good as well as the two days of homework I’ve completed. We have 29 signed up for this study. Please keep us in your prayers as well. Thanks!
    Have a blessed day,
    Valerie

Just read the blog. Prayer works anytime, right? Then I will pray that the ladies received a blessing last night and that they will continue in their commitment to studying God's Word; and I'll pray that Siesta Moma receives a fresh anointing of the Spirit each time she brings God's Word to the group. Wish I was in her class!!!

Prayers for TEXAS as Ike heads your way…from "Sunny again finally" South Florida! We started Jesus the One & Only Last night with 60+ ladies! Our Women's Ministry had over 160 Ladies in all 5 studies! GO GOD! Many have not done study with us before and more than half of those have never done a Beth Moore Study. I told them to "HANG ON TIGHT for a GREAT RIDE!" I also noted that many of us have callouses from doing just that with your Mom. THANK GOD for the blessing of the annointed work He has called your family to! Prayers for you all!!
