Wow, I would have lurved to have been there. The whole reason I started up a blog is because I wanted to be a Siesta. Lofty goals, I know. I was there in spirit. In body I was at home with a sick child, wouldn’t give up that spot for anything though. Thanks for getting me started blogging though. I know this sounds corny, but has changed things for me. I was in a stay at home slump… now I have an outlet. I Love you guys to stinkin’ pieces and feel like God used you and this blog to put me “back in touch” with big people.

Patty just reminded me of one of my lol moments at the conference. Darlene (have you seen my keys) had to move away from me because I was getting my praise on so much. Patty said it was a good thing I did not hurt anyone. LOL!! I miss you all!!

Thank you Rich for that recap video. I was one of the many siestas that did not get to go to San Antonio. (it was heart wrenching for me) I so desired to meet all my fellow Siestas, but it was not the Lord’s will.
It has been a blessing to read all the blogs, and see all the videos of what happened. I know it will not be anything in comparison to actually being there, but it is fun to share in all the memories.

OK, after watching me get teary eyed watching this video (’cause I didn’t get to go), my man says if ya do it again, he will sell his spleen to get me there.
So, PLEASE do it again … not that I want him to sell his spleen. Can ya sell your spleen? How does a person go about that – an add in the penny pincher? Ebay? Garage sale? Hmmm, not sure I wanna know. But, I digress …
PLEASE! PLEASE!! PLEASE!!! have another one. I am sure with time to save for it we can find a way to get me there AND keep his anatomy in tact. ‘Cause I do enjoy that man’s anatomy:)

Me lika this video too!:) I like it a whole lot! All ya’ll siestas and the crew looked so radiant with happiness!:) And think, this is just a teensy portion of the Body of Christ. If we all had this kind of community of love like we do on this blog, you know how much encouragement and iron sharpening iron there would be??? I am thinking that God has most certainly blessed this blog, and the siestas, by allowing us to all know that the other exists!:) Ok, I’m going to stop gushing now:)

Oh, how I would have loved to be there! I’ve been a lurker for months, but feel as if y’all are my very favorite friends. (I started a blog the other day. Anybody want a fun 22 yr old Siesta friend? Lol). I thank God for the opportunity to be able to get the “right” kind of girly friendship HERE that I don’t have that much of at home. It’s great to know there are some Christian girls out there that are just as crazy about Him (and just crazy in general!) as I am.
Maybe we can have the next Fiesta in Georgia? *grins*

Dearest Siestas, I feel such connection to you because we are all sisters in Christ. On Monday my dear daughter passed away. She was only 25 years old. I got up Monday morning and was having my coffee. I had opened to Psalm 16 to read what you were all chatting about after your fun weekend. I had only read verses 1 & 2 when the police came to my door.
Protect me, O God, for in you I take refuge.
I say to the Lord, ‘You are my Lord;
I have no good apart from you.’
I want Beth to know, that not only did she focus on Psalm 16 for the ladies that were there, but the Lord had her focus on Psalm 16 for a mom in Massachusetts that was soon to lose her beloved firstborn.
Psalm 16 has carried me through the week. It was sung at my daughter's funeral mass (we are Catholic)..it is sung at the Easter Vigil also, so how glorious is that?
I cannot express enough that this was no coincidence for Beth to have pulled out Psalm 16, but a beautiful gift from God for grieving parents.
Please pray for my sons as they cope.

I wanted you to see this. I read Angie Smith’s (the wife of Todd Smith of Selah) blog regulary and she has started a new bible study in Nashville. They are going to go through Stepping Up starting in Sep.
Just thought that this was precious so had to share with you!
“We will also watch the introductory video, which I will tell you my daughter Ellie watched with me the other day and she loved it. She kept writing the verse numbers in her little notebook and then at the end she said, “I love Beth-a Moore.” I’m not sure why she is “Beth-a” to Ellie but I have to agree. She has a way of bringing all of us (even 5 year olds!) right to the throne of God. Can’t wait to share in that with you ladies…”

Makes me wish I could have made it. But mostly makes me think….have I been foolish? I havent commented on here before because i see how many others have commented and i feel like a small fish in a big pond of already connected siestas….but I am hungry for more connection like this.
