Siesta Fiesta FAQ

Hi ladies! I just want to touch on a few things this morning since some very good questions have come up regarding the Siesta Fiesta. If you missed Wednesday’s announcement, check it out here.

-The registration for the actual Living Proof Live event is completely separate from the Siesta Fiesta registration. Anyone attending the Siesta Fiesta needs to register for both. (The Siesta Fiesta is free, by the way.) Please note that there were no problems with the LifeWay event registration and if you have already registered for the conference itself, you do not need to do it again. The only problem was with the contact info we had compiled from our bloggers for the Siesta Fiesta.

-If you are attending the conference with a group, it is totally up to you whether you sit with your group during the conference or whether you sit in the reserved Siesta section. Regardless of where you sit, if you have an arm band you are welcome to attend the reception after the conference.

-If you would like your mom or sister or best friend to sit with you in the reserved Siesta section and attend the reception, please make sure they register for the Siesta Fiesta so they can get an arm band. However, if you would like to register a group of additional people who aren’t familiar with the blog, please consider that we would like to keep the size of the reception manageable and the activities specific to our blog readers. That’s why we are not advertising the Siesta Fiesta to everyone at the event. Thank you in advance!

-There will be an hour break between the end of the conference and the start of the Siesta Fiesta reception. Beth will need that time to decompress and scarf down some lunch. Kim and Patty are looking into pre-ordering some box lunches for anyone interested. You would be able to pay for them online using PayPal. Aren’t those girls awesome? That is a good reason to stay tuned to their blog.

-For your convenience, I have provided a permanent link on our blog’s side bar to the Siesta Fiesta registration post and to Kim and Patty’s blog.

-The reserved seating section will have some wheelchair accessibility. If possible, please let me know of your need beforehand so that we can be sure to accommodate everyone.

-I’m so sorry for those of you who won’t be able to make it! Know that while we can’t do an official blog meetup at every event, you ladies can arrange your own meetups at any time. I know from just reading your comments that this has happened a number of times at different events. Would anyone like to share?

If you have any other questions, please send them to us at [email protected]. We are working on some answers to other questions we received and I will update on those as soon as I can. Thanks, ladies! We can’t wait!

I just registered for both the conference and Siesta Fiesta. God is so good and I’ll tell you why. I didn’t get to do a Beth conference last year because of the thyroid cancer and treatment that I went through. I have been in Beth/Travis withdrawal and just wanted to be at one so badly this year. When I found out Beth was going to be in Louisville, I went ahead and reserved a hotel room, but waited to buy my ticket until after Christmas. Needless to say by the time I call it was “sold out”.

I have thought long and hard about how to do one somewhere, but living in Ohio nothing was close. When I heard about the Fiesta in San Antonio I was just dying to go. Well, I was just asked yesterday to teach a summer course which will pay for my expenses. My wonderful hubby gave me his blessings, so now I can attend!

See you all in San Antonio!

    Kimberly (aka GraceÒ€ℒs mom)

BTW…I too will be alone, but it seems there’s enough of us that we can have our own group. :o)

I am soo excited for you all to be able to fellowship!!! Have a great time (for the rest of us not going to that particular event:)rejoicing in the Lord together in August! And don’t forget: PRAY FOR EACH OTHER TOO! Siestas, gather around Beth and crew and pray for them as soon as you see them if you can-Super important! This is a BIG blessing from God being part of such a huge family of God-all my siesta sisters in the faith:)

    Romans 12:12 NASB
12(A)rejoicing in hope, (B)persevering in tribulation, (C)devoted to prayer,

    Ephesians 6:18 NASB
18With all (A)prayer and petition (B)pray at all times (C)in the Spirit, and with this in view, (D)be on the alert with all (E)perseverance and (F)petition for all the saints,

I have a question. I bought tickets for the conference months ago for myself and a friend. I’m not sure now if the friend is going to be able to attend. I think I remember when the Siesta Fiesta was first announced that this was a “Ladies Only” event. If my friend can’t come, my husband told me that he would like to come with me. I have been blessed to see Beth twice in person and he has heard me talk about it so much that he would like to come to this event if it works out. He is a musican so I know he would go crazy over Travis and the worship team. Just wanted to make sure he would be allowed to attend if that’s the way it works out.

    Thanks,
    Rita

    Amanda,
Thank you for coordinating all of this! I know that the Siesta Fiesta is one additional thing on your already full plate- But I am so grateful! It will be such a wonderful time. Thank you for being such a blessing- I can’t wait to meet you face to face!

Thank you Amanda for answering those questions! My girlfriend and I are going and are very excited(both bloggers). To katiefromtennessee: Thank you for that reminder about prayer! I was thinking about that also! To all of the siestas out there, going to San Antonio or not: Would you please consider writing up a prayer for each of these women on a 3 x 5 card and either bringing it with you to San Antonio, or mailing it to LPM? We need to hold these ladies up in prayer, it’s crucial to their survival! If possible, could you pray in a verse if God so leads you? (We are, after all, praying for the author of “Praying God’s Word” and her daughters! I think they would be blessed, and all of us could participate in that!
    I love you all-

I hope you all have fun! Wish I could go. I will be 34 weeks pregnant at that time and will probably be staying pretty close to home (Florida). I am going to get to hear Beth at Deeper Still in Atlanta, though! I’ve never heard her or the other speakers live before, so I’m very excited!

Thanks Amanda. I have a couple of people I’ve invited that I have directed to the blog and want to “introduce” to Beth and her teaching. One of my friends is a blog reader, but not a blogger. I have a couple of room spots to fill so I have opened this up to them. I hope that is okay. I only think one or two may be able to attend so… anyway. That is all I have for now. Thanks a bundle for all the hard work putting this together. We love you!

    Li'l Rae says:

I so wish I could make it to the Siesta Fiesta! San Antonio is one of my all time favorite places to visit and then add LPL on top of it – OH MY!! Timing is all wrong for me though – maybe next year. Would love to meet Miss Beth in person and tell her how much her message on Habakkuk 3:19 at the Kansas City LPL conference has meant to me over the last 2 1/2 years! I have had to cross that “river of fear” many times over since then.

Also, how I wish I could attend the Bible Study in Houston this Fall. I am afraid I am “too old” and live too far away though. Is it possible that study will be published in the future? I would love to be exposed to the class that first set Beth’s heart afire for Scripture!

Many blessings on all those who will be attending the Siesta Fiesta!

    Beth,
Just wanted to let you know what an impact you have had on my family. While working with my first grade son on his dictation sentences, I read him the sentence, “We should ask Beth to come to the lake to play games.” In the midst of writing this sentence he looked up at me and said, “wouldn’t it be cool if we could ask Beth Moore to come and play games.” I couldn’t help but laugh because you have become a part of our family’s life and we all love you! Thanks so much for building this community and for sharing your life with us. God is using you to make an impact on this mom and her seven year old son.

    Love,

Thanks for all of the info, Amanda. I’m praying that I will be able to come. If I do, I will probably be alone. That doesn’t scare me as much now because I see that others will be doing the same! Pray that I can work it out to come with my kids school schedule!

    Thanks Siestas for your prayers!

I’m just overwhelmed by all that you (Amanda, and probably lots and lots of other people in Houston) and Kim and Patty are doing for the Fiesta. I hope that it doesn’t become a burden for anyone. The logistics seem daunting. AND I hope you can tell by the excitement in our “voices” how very much we appreciate all that you (and I mean everyone) is doing for us.

You’re better than you have to be!

Thanks for answering all of our questions!
I am going to register my mom today! If all you Siestas would please pray for her it would be great! She is saved (got saved after I got married) and has grown a ton since then. BUT… I think I am a little nervous that she won’t receive bc she has never been interested in any sort of Bible study type “thing.” Will you all pray with me that her heart would be soft (good soil!!), that Jesus would bring freedom in areas of her heart and that He would give her an even greater hunger for Him and His Word? Thanks Siestas! I cant wait to see what HE has for all of us!! πŸ™‚

May I leave a little message for Beth here? I am a sister, her age, been through the same valleys…
I’ve done 6 of her studies (I have groupie status, and proud of it even though I know she points us to Jesus, and YES^ Jesus!) I have a word- thank you…
If she ever needed a why for any of her sufferings one may be my small life-
Recently, Believing God, brought me to a spacious place, and I see my promised land in front of me. Oh Mrs Beth, I pray for da Low-wuwd to bless you indeed, and to keep you in the center of His will, to protect you from evil, and to continue spreading the great news that we CAN do all things through Christ. Amen
I praise God for you and your life and your willingness to be obedient, for yielding to him, even when it was very difficult. I know how hard it is to live with the enemies lies choking the LIFE out of you, even though you are born again. God has used your message of truth to rescue me from the pit, to empower me to spread the good news that with faith I can say to that mountain- GIT- I’m from East TN. I can say git, and reckon- WORD to the siestas!
OK so, not to gush, or take too much of your precious time, just to say this…in your dark hour, perhaps God had me in mind, and oh Beth, …I have no English word for the love and gratitude and praise that can really express my deepest feelings for Jesus.
    See you in paradise~

    Hey yall,

I’m so bummed to miss the great Siesta Fiesta. I don’t post very often, but read every post and note and pray for some of you faithfully…. To put all your names and faces together and hug all your sweet necks…. It sounds like a blast!!! Know that someone in Georgia will be covering y’all in prayer that day.

On a much smaller level, if any siestas want to meet up for the Atlanta Deeper Still event in June, I’d love to do that…..obviously it would not be NEARLY as great as all meeting in San Antonio….. but since Atlanta is local, much more affordable at this point in my life!!

Have a blast Siesta Fiesta girls!!
