This was the second out of three playgrounds we visited this week. Jackson is tired of our living room.
Honestly, sometimes I’d rather sit on the bench and visit with the other mommies.
But then I would miss this…
Life is good when you’ve got mulch in one hand and a Tonka truck in the other.
He kept hitting his head on that thing.
Owie!
Will he go down?
Yes!

Thank you so much for sharing pictures of your precious boy – he is simply adorable! My husband and I are praying fervently for a child – we are battling infertility and boy, has it been a challenging time, yet has so deepened our relationship with the Lord and our reliance on Him. I’d love to hear some ‘parenting’ stories from you – you seem to be so good! Thanks again for sharing!
Jackson is growing so fast! I have to agree with Kristi A.-treasure this time-it really flies by. These pictures have made me want to find all the pictures of my “baby”, he’s 31 and in Afghanistan. It seems like only yesterday that he had so many Tonka trucks and loved dirt in any form!!
I love the picture of Jackson at the top of the slide, he’s really comtemplating something. The look in his eyes is priceless.
Thanks for sharing your afternoon with us and have a great weekend.
Blessings
Oh, too darling! We see a lot of the mall play area in the winter here in Iowa…and in the heat of summer, too, I guess. We enjoy walking to the play area down the street, too, with the highlight being emptying the pebbles from our shoes before going home. ๐ We have to enjoy every moment, huh? Too precious.
Adorable!
Much love,
Angela
Oh my, he’s gettin’ so big. They grow up way too fast!
Joanne
Thank you for sharing these precious pictures. They sure brought a smile to my face today. It’s been so long since there have been babies in our family.

What a “little man” he is becoming! How precious! I love how you let him just “be a boy,” get dirty, and have fun!
What a blessing! Thanks for sharing…
Your son looks like a perfect combination of you and your husband. You are truly blessed. Cherish these moments. They truly do go by much too fast.
These are so rich!!! What an amazing story the pictures tell…and Jackson is the cutest child! How quickly he has gone from being a baby to a big boy!!! Such a treasure….God bless!
Amanda, what camera do you use? You’ve got to have a fast shutter! He is incredibly adorable!
He has the most gorgeous eyes!!!!! My goodness, he’s beautiful!
Amanda,
All the pictures were so cute but the last one is priceless!! He is the cutest little boy!!!
Have a great weekend!
Love,
Patty
Oh my gosh! What a cute and happy baby! he has a wonderful, Godly momma! ๐
My oldest baby just drove our Suburban to the movies for the first time tonight. It feels like yesterday when I was taking pictures of my precious darlin at the park.
Enjoy every moment Amanda.
Blessings, Joanne
He is so cute!! And you can tell he enjoys being outside just playing…of course with mommie right there with him!
It’s been said over and over but that last picture IS the ultimate! My favorite one you’ve ever posted! ๐

Amanda,
Your little guy is PRECIOUS! Enjoy each moment with Jackson…he’ll grow up so fast! I have two “guys” who are 8 and 5…now they enjoy frogs, bugs and anything that crawls…watch out! Enjoy this time.
What are little boys made of?!!! How cute! I remember when your mom announced to the world (Knoxville anyway) at the Beth Moore conference in September 2005 that she was going to be a grandma. She was thrilled to pieces and couldn’t contain herself! I’ve enjoyed watching Jackson grow up and hearing about his antics!
Enjoy him while you can for they grow up fast! My baby boy is going to be a daddy in April and I cannot wait!
I have 3 boys and they are all YUMMY! Just like your yummy baby! My yummy clan is now 19, 14 and 12 and yes I embarrass the tar out of them calling them yummy! …B ut it’s because I spent days ‘doing life’ with them rather than hanging with all the gals all the time- that they know Mom is their friend. Precious memories… make them deep!
Sandi
He is so YUMMY!! I have 3 ‘yummy’ boys who are now 19, 14 and 12…. I embarrass them calling them yummy but it’s because I ‘did life’ with them rather than hanging out at the malls with the gals when they were little that they know that we are friends. You know your boys love you when they call you by, “Dude, Mom!” Now that is love! Make those precious memories deep! ๐

How fun! Do you scrapbook? With all of these great photos, surely you do.
Mitzi — your comment says the last picture he looks like his daddy. I was thinking that he looked like he was about to challenge his mommy & was up to something! :0 Sooooooo, Amanda….which is it?! LOL! My youngest is 14 and I still rarely get to sit on the bench & talk w/ the other mommies (unless she’s on the court!) They keep you hopping no matter what their age!
Amanda, he is just precious!!! Thank you for sharing these photos…and all the other Jackson stories! God bless you!!!
I’ve only ever seen pictures of you on here, but I think he has your eyes. He is such a handsome blessing!!! He doesn’t look like a baby boy anymore! I have rose colored glasses on w/ my 18 mo. old girl–I still pretend she’s a baby…can’t do that with my 3 yr old! It’s a sweet time–challenging but sweet!
Amanda,
You are blessed! What a cutie!! Enjoy every minute with him. I know it’s hard sometimes not to get completely worn out and frustrated – a mommy’s job is never done. It just flies by so fast. I remember being in the hospital with my precious newborns and now they are 9 and 12!! Now, they would rather go to the mall than the park – and I can’t say that I have a problem with that!!!:)
Just enjoy him, Amanda – He is too adorable and time goes too fast!!
Thanks so much for the pictures and for sharing from your week. The time and effort you put into this blog is appreciated more than you’ll ever know. The blog is such a blessing to me – such a source of encouragement!!
Thank you, Amanda – God Bless you and your family!!
Love – Sheri
Those were the days, my siesta! For you, these are the days! I’m so glad you don’t want to miss a thang! (Siestas love to use exclamation marks, don’t we?)
May God continue blessing you as you continue believing Him (present active partiple- just finished “Believing God” series!)

Amanda,
He is just absolutely precious!

Amanda,
I adore these pictures of Jackson. He is about the cutest thing I’ve seen ! Of course, I don’t have grandbabies yet so I can say that !
I have 2 daughters, both marrying age, but no spouses (or babies) in sight right now.
Thanks for sharing !
Joy=full in Christ
What a cutie! He has a million dollar smile and always looks like he’s full of energy. I’m glad you enjoy fun times with Jackson and I’m so glad you take lots of pictures. It’s so much fun (and fun for them) when they’re grown to look back.
Have a great weekend!
Valerie
Thank you so much for sharing all of the photos of your little man!

But, I would like to add… a whole lot of attitude from “Grandma” (BEEBEE, isn’t it?)!!
He is incredibly handsome and is going to break sooo many hearts one day. Thanks for sharing another precious memory!
Oh my gosh, he is just TOO CUTE and so reminds me of my boys at that age. I wouldn’t take anything for the times I played with my little guys. Enjoy him as much and as long as you can!
I forgot to mention that when my youngest was a toddler, he loved playing with little cars. One day when I was changing his diaper, I discovered a Matchbox car sitting on his abdomen. He frowned at me because I’d discovered his hiding place. LOL
Amanda-
I heard someone say once about raising kids
“The days are long, but the years are short”
Truer words were never spoken

So Precious! You’re a great Mom, Amanda! These pictures make me smile and make me miss that age! Mine are 8, 13,14,and 15 now! Yikes three teenagers!
God Bless- Emmy : )
He’s adorable… but who needs to tell you that, right? ๐
SO CUTE!!!
He is absolutely adorable! Your time will come to sit on the benches with the mommies. My son is 12 and if I followed him around with a camera he’d die ๐
That last look sure has “Texan” written all over it!
Baby boys are the sweetest! Very fun pictures!!!
How adorable!!! That was a day brightener if I ever saw one. These years are so precious, enjoy every season of life. In Jesus’ Love Kathy Knoblock
Amanda,
He is SOOOO Cute. I’m so glad you put his pics on the blog for us. They always make me smile!
Oh Amanda – How precious!!!!! I love that last one. You can almost see him making that face when he’s all grown!
Love, Cathy
That last picture is heavenly! So adorable! Enjoy the outside days…it’s getting cold out.
What an adorable guy-enjoy him. Sent my oldest boy to college this year and have another son who is a high school freshman and it just seems like it was the other day when they were that young. People gave me the advice of enjoying them years ago and I’ll admit that I didn’t always heed it. As a “boy” mom, I can tell you they are wonderful and they always have a special relationship with their mama.
You are such a good Mommy! I need to pull myself away from the bench with the other mamas more often! Thanks for the reminder. ๐
So adorable! You always seem to get such great pictures of him. My two are (almost)4 and 14 months, and my 14 month old is almost impossible to catch on the camera–though his sister will gladly smile for all to see. ๐
He’s so cute! But I can’t believe how big he’s getting. He doesn’t look like a baby anymore. He looks like a little boy! So much fun.
I just have 3 words for little Mr. Jackson-
Cutie Pa Tootie!!!!!!!!! Haha!
He really is adorable Amanda! ๐
