Thank You

Ladies, thank you so much for your thoughtful, honest, heartfelt responses! There were several times when I just had to stop and pray for all of us as I was reading through them. I’m sure many of you did the same thing. My mom just got home from the Women of Faith pre-conference in Washington, D.C., and she told me she can’t wait to read all of them. Now that we have passed the 400 mark, I’m going to close the comments. Thank you so much for participating!

I have some very exciting news. Today 11,000 women attended the pre-conference event in D.C. We were blown away by that! But that’s not the exciting news I’m talking about. Eight hundred and ninety-three women committed their lives to Christ! Praise Jesus! I cannot even fathom it! We praise God for how He’s using Women of Faith to introduce women to our Savior. I know my mom has been blessed to partner with them this year.

Have a great weekend, everyone! I’m going to try to keep my laptop closed as much as possible for the next two days, so I’ll see you Monday.

Thank you for taking the time to tape that message and blessing for us! Thanks for letting us be included in such a small, but powerful way, in your wonderful ministry!

    Mama Siesta,

I pray you are blessed by the Lord as well.

I guess as there are seasons in life and ministry, there are seasons in jeans as well.

Let us give thanks with the psalmist:

Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD;let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.

Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.

For the LORD is the great God, the great King above all gods.

    Happy Thanksgiving.

Beth, I’m ashamed to admit that I’ve just discovered your blog…I know, I must have been in la-la land . . . I don’t know….anyway, I’ve been reading it over the past few days, and was tickled this morning before work to get a “personal” message from you. I love you and you’re in my prayers. And the fact that you were wearing the same SIZE of jeans for five years just makes me sick, butI am happy for you!! ๐Ÿ™‚

    Sweet Beth,
I am so thankful that you were bathed in prayer during the taping. Breaking Free is the very first study I joined you for in Houston back in 1998?!? God spoke so clearly to me during that study, and I knew it would have to be the first Bible study I led in my brand-new church. I dearly pray that this new taping will minister to others as it has to me.

    Much love,
    Kristi

You are precious and I love you dearly. But, the fact that you wore the same pair of jeans for 5 years just makes me sick!!! ๐Ÿ™‚

    Beth,
Being there in New Orleans was one of the best weeks of my life. I can’t wait to do the study next year with my ladies class. I had my birthday last week on Thursday and I sat on the right hand side where you went in and out. I know you hugged a ton of people, but you also hugged me on my birthday because my dear friend Sandy worked hard to get that seat for us. I love the way God uses you and it was a blessing and a privilege to be there and witness it first hand.
I will continue to pray for you and your precious family.
Jenny Hope, if you are out there it was great meeting too.

Okay, I just want to keep it real. I was reading through my morning list of posts while drying my hair when I came across this post and found myself at a crossroads:

“Do I pause to watch the video during PRIME hair drying time?”

I mean, I think we all know that if you delay the drying during certain critical moments in the hair shaping process, it can ruin the entire thing. I’m not being funny — bad hair days are nothing to joke around about.

But then, I was like “WHAT, SELF? WHAT?!? You lay down your blow dryer and you press play.”

And I’m very glad I did. Very, very glad.

    Now, back to my hair.

It was a JOY to pray for you all! I just loved how God would put you on my heart all the time night and day… at the strangest times I felt called to go face down for you! It was so the Holy Spirit (so cool just LOVE when that happens b/c you know it is SO God and not you!)

    Emmy : )

P.S. Was laughing the other day… I have a group of about 11 girls we are doing Stepping Up and the batteries were dead in the DVD remote (and I had to use it to move the little line from under session 5 to session 6) searched the church and all I could find were dead batteries lying around empty remotes… I remembered praying for you all to get electricity back on for the last session so I was like God this is our last session and I just started praying… and combining different dead batteries… and God gave those dead batteries just enough juice! YEAH praise you Lord… you care about the details : )

I like to pass on the glory to God, He really was the driving force through it all. He was the one that caused me to dream of you one night, He woke me up and whispered in my ear , “It’s time to pray, siesta.” I was only the donkey carring Jesus!! It was all HIS work, it’s His glory, and we are so blessed by it. Love you all!

Hallelujah – thank you for the praise report!! It’s a good reminder of how much we should be praying!

I feel your pain over the loss of your favorite pair of jeans. The same thing happened to me and the company I tried to buy another pair exactly like them from had gone out of business! That was years ago and my life has never been the same!! ๐Ÿ™‚

Strange as it may sound, I sensed that last week was a special week and then read the posts that confirmed it. Thanks to you for your obedience to His call on your life!!! Your obedience has been HUGE to me!!! And that “double portion in their land” word came as an answer to me and my husband regarding a decision we were seeking God’s will for our lives on. Wit woo! You are cooler than a rock star!

No matter how trivial the loss of your favorite jeans may seem, we all understand that kind of frustration! I’ve been anxiously awaiting your initial post after the taping last week. I know I’ve said it already, but the Lord did a mighty work in my heart and life! I mean a MIGHTY one!! I have begun praying face down in the mornings before I start my devotions and OH what a change in my prayer life!!! “I love you too” has revolutionized how I deal with one of my areas of bondage. I could go on and on and on. Thank you again for being a humble, willing servant of the Most High! Much love…

    Dear Beth,
What a joy it was to see you face-to-face again.
I want you to know, dear friend, the Lord brought you and the ladies in New Orleans to my mind quite often…more it seemed than usual. I felt it was His reminder to pray so that is what I did.

Praise Him! He hears our prayers. I am so glad to hear that the enemy’s schemes did not work. God was glorified and His message was clear.

It was an honor to pray for you, the team and for the women attending last week.

    I love you, dear one.

    Have a blessed Thanksgiving!

We love you, too, Beth! I am privileged to pray for the woman GOD used 2 years ago to give me a hunger and thirst to read and know HIS word!

If it were not for you, Sweet Beth, and GOD teaching you to walk between the ditches, then who would have taught me? You definitely have been obedient to your calling!

Citzens of Humanity…sigh…I had a pair and they felt so wonderful…and then I grew,..and they didn’t quite feel “modest” except with a very long top/sweater/shirt.

Then the day came where they had to leave and go to a younger and thinner siesta that I was mentoring.

I miss them :-)….but perhaps one day I will get another pair..and not a much too bigger size.

    You are darlin’ ๐Ÿ™‚

It really was the least I could do to pray constantly over all the details of this taping. It is astouding how God has used and continues to use the blog world for His purpsoe and glory!
I must confess I signed up to pray 3 times a day but God had other plans – He often would wake me at 2,3, or 4 AM to pray and sometimes I would not know who I was praying for or why – what a blessing, an honor, and a true joy for He knew and that is more than enough!!!

    Hi Beth,
Thank you so much for this thank you video. It is our delight in Siestaville to pray for you and the team. I was so glad to see you before my last LIT Class with Curtis on Tuesday night to hug your neck and tell you I was sooooo glad to see you had made it back safe and sound. I know it HAS to be a God thing that indwells because you looked beautiful, full of energy and RESTED. The beautiful and energy is always there but the rested part with all you had on your plate that week was the God part. You are truly the energizer bunny of the heavenly kingdom and I say that with all the love and blessings I can muster.
