After attending the New Orleans event earlier this month, I was just overcome by the enormity of God’s power and love. To experience the Word, worship, and praise with thousands of believers in an arena so immense was paradoxically so intimate and personal, just as He always is with each one of us.
I will always be moved by these posts. Thank you so much, LPL.
Hallelujah! It is such a gift to be on the journey with you all, Fran
Oh, my I can’t wait to see you in Pittsburgh! Our WOW group is coming from Williamsport PA and we are so excited! We have been praying aboout it for months! Expecting wonderful things from God! Oh, we also cannot wait to see Travis and your worship team!!! Lisa
Awesome to see that God’s spirit is mightily moving in the northwest! May God use our siestas in amazing ways for the furtherance of His kingdom there! Thanks for sharing. We are so blessed and grateful for your ministry. Vicki π
These scenes bring tears of joy to my eyes. It is awsome to see that many gathered in praise and worship to our God. I am biting at the bits for Deeper Still next December! Thanks for sharing your ministry in this way and leading us in HIS way. Jan
What a timely message I needed to hear – nothing the world has to offer compares to the holiness of my God – our God. Thank you for bringing me to the thrown to worship – in front of my computer monitor! Peace, Kim Feth Apex, NC
We definitely rocked that Rose Garden in Portland last weekend!!!! It will never be the same. Thank you Beth, Travis and all of your hard-working team. We LOVE LOVE LOVE you in the Pacific Northwest!!! Come back soon!
Absolutely beautiful recap of what looked to be a blessed weekend. Beth, you are going to be 2 miles from my house in Laramie, WY in a few weeks, but I am unable to come due to my daughter’s state soccer tournament. Oh the sacrifices a mother makes. Anyway, I cherish these recaps and will look forward to the recap and the stories that my friends will have when you are in Laramie.
Wow! My heart is so touched by His presence every time I watch these videos. Beth, I have loved being at 6 LPL events and am looking forward to your next one in Pittsburgh. I was so excited to hear you were coming to our national day of prayer in Lancaster! But I am unable to be there since I will be working at the clinic of the rescue mission a few minutes down the road. You will love Lancaster! Blessings on your ministry! See you in Pittsburgh!
To make this “thank you” make sense I need to explain the situation. On Monday I was accepted to attend World Journalism Institute (King’s College) in New York City this upcoming May. I was not expecting to be accepted, but I am very excited. However, after the excitement wore off I started feeling “under qualified”. I felt under qualified to attend this Institute, come home for 24 hours, then leave for Russia for an entire month to serve Jesus in an orphanage. As I was feeling very overwhelmed I was reminded of the “though things about being a woman” from your Esther Bible study. Reading back over those verses encouraged me and felt God surround me and prepare me for the summer. I can’t thank you enough for the words you spoke and the diligence you put into preparing that Bible study.
Viewing from Florida. I would have given much to be there. Every picture of each woman, I could relate to thier need for God. I am so comforted to know that I have sisters out there who love Jesus as much as I do. It is such a lonely place sometimes without siestas around. I love you all even though I have not met any of you. Thanks Beth.
Words cannot express my feelings right know. My friend invited me to join her and I am so glad I did. This was the first time that I attended one of BethΓ’β¬β’s conferences. I was moved from the moment I started singing until 12:00pm on Saturday, I didnΓ’β¬β’t want it to end; I wanted more. She is remarkable speaker with such a passion for Christ. I was amazed by the women in the building. It was awesome to see all us there to be fed, uplifted and convicted. The praise team is amazing. I loved everything they sang, since then I have been searching for the songs. It was a true blessing to attend and I am looking forward to more. Thank you for your love for Christ and your inspiration to others.
What makes me in awe is how we are all so much alike. Women in New Orleans or women in Portland – thousands of miles away but all reaching to worship our God.
Women are so hungry for the things of God and His Word. Thank you for feeding them and those of us in your bible studies across the country and the nations. You are a vessel that pours out – May you be refilled.
This video is amazing. The Lord was present and the women were there to learn! They were there to meet with Him, and be changed. Praise You Lord for what you have done in Portland!
Oh dear…now I’m going to have to figure out how to pack an entire box of tissues for Deeper Still in Orlando this September π
I used to ask God to PLEASE not let me cry, PLEASE don’t move me to tears Lord…it’s embarrassing, I look weak, people think there’s something horrible going on in my life…but you know what? I’ve come to learn that that’s the way the Holy Spirit moves in me when God is truly being glorified. And I’m definitely okay with that π
Amanda, First I wanted to say congrads on baby #2. I remember doing a study through our church with your mom on “A womans heart” when she came on and announced Jackson’s birth. Oh how our ladies rejoiced with your family. Anyway I just had a quick question I too blog and was wondering if you have any ideas for teaching our toddlers bible scriptures? My blog is http://www.lyonsden4.blogspot.com any tips or sites would help. Thank you in advance. Blessings to you and your whole family!!
Wow, all I can say is that I needed this today and the Lord provided the way. To see the moving of the spirit was just awesome and the music just made me want to worship along with it. The phone did not ring at work until the end of the song. God is so good. Geneva
I have been to Portland on a mission trip and saw first hand how hungry the people are for a TRUE WORD from the Lord. I KNOW it was brought to them during this past weekend!
While I was there for my mission trip I encouraged the ladies to do a Beth Moore Bible Study. Many of them didn’t know who Beth was and had never done a Bible study like hers, and many of them had never really studied the Bible at all. Here in the South I think we take Beth and her studies for granted sometimes.
But praise the Lord He is moving in Oregon and as I said earlier, I know they got a Word!
Thank you LPM for your mission to spread a love for His Word!
I got “chill bumps” all over again! Thank you for posting this video. Beth thanks again for coming to Portland. It has been a long time since I have been with a group that size that worshiped the LORD together that “HARD”. It was like we couldn’t get close enough with our fingertips to heaven. PRAISE GOD!!!!
Awesome Pictures of the Portland event. I was there and you could totally feel Gods presense! Beth, I just love your Bible studies have taken at least 5 of them, and was so excited to come to Portland to see you. Your studies have changed my life! By the way my 6 words are Saved by Grace just in time! Lisa B Grants Pass Or.
I attended the event last weekend in Portland where God stepped off His throne and into the building. Friday night’s message was meant for my coworker – who wasn’t in attendance. So, i’m inviting her, and all the other people at work who haven’t darkened the door of a church or opened their Bible in years to Stockton’s event in June (closer to home).
My coworker was abused in EVERY way by her father, a “christian” pastor, then used as child labor in a “christian” girls home where she was placed. The only love and affection she received as a child was by a family member who was deep into spiritualism. Now, she doesn’t trust God, His people, or His word. Infact she believes God’s out to get her and the Bible was made up by men with an agenda.
But, she loves me. So, please pray that God opens the door for me to invite her, and that her heart would be softened enough to attend and receive the word from someone she can identify with and receive it straight to her heart through the presence of God.
Beth, this ministry, and you ladies are constantly in my prayers. God is on the move!!!
Thanks for a wonderful weekend! It’s Wednesday and the word you brought us just hit me today. Please pray for me because the surrendered life scares me TO DEATH! What will God ask of me? I’m scared to say “crucify that.”. What will that mean?
Leslie and all the rest of you ladies, thank you for your prayers! I popped the question today and she immediately tensed. I asked her to think about it and she said that she would. In the mean time, her oldest boy is being shipped off to Afganistan with the marines and mom is so scared! Please continue praying for her and her decision! Thank You!
Girl, it’s an honor! Your story touched my heart because it hits close to home. I’ve got a girl in my office that I’ve worked on for three years…and just last week she told me that we couldn’t talk “religion” anymore because it made her too mad. I told her that I can’t stand that word, that what I have isn’t a “religion”, it’s a relationship. And just three years ago she questioned whether there really IS a God, and now she’s married to a man who has prayed for her on bended knee. God’s moving, she’s just too stubborn to admit it! π
Anyway, I consider it an absolute blessing to pray for your friend~ and will ESPECIALLY keep her son in prayer too!!
Leslie, I left the post requesting prayer for my coworker who was abused by her pastor father… well, she didn't end up showing up a the Stockton event. Thank you for praying though and please continue to pray. She thought about it for months, but in the last 24 hrs decided not to go.
It is very disappointing, but God is sovereign and has been rejected over and over while being the ONLY TRUE provider of HOPE – which this woman so desperately needs. All I can do is continue to love on her.
Despite that disappointment, God worked mightily at the Stockton event this weekend and refreshed our faith.
Thank you all for your prayers and thank you Beth, Living Proof and Lifeway. My faith and my commitment to the Word of God, and to serving Him with my life is strengthened because of your example and this ministry.
Isn't "siesta" the Spanish word for nap? Yes! Then why are our LPM blog readers called siestas? One time Beth typed out the word "sistas," referring to our blog readers, and her spell checker wanted her to change it to "siestas." The name stuck! You can read about it here. If you read this blog, consider yourself a siesta! It's just another word for sister.
Beautiful pictures, beautiful music, beautiful Jesus…

What a joy to see worship! God reigns…even in the Northwest! Thanks for sharing.
Amanda,
Where can I get the song Travis is singing in the video? Can’t find it on iTunes? Holy By Travis. Would love to have it if possible.

There was some worship going on in Portland last weekend. Lord we thank you for meeting us where we are each day.
Rich, I am so thankful for your incredible talent.
Amanda, thank you for posting these events.
Have a wonderful day!

Beautiful doesn’t describe, is not an enough, to explain what it looks like to see Sister Siesta’s worshipping Our Holy and Precious GOD and Savior!
Lifting up Holy hands always is the most freeing moment in worship! Oh how I wish my church wouldn’t be afraid to do that!
I do in my own home, as Beth always says, “pull the shades down and sing and dance and praise the LORD”!
I love all of you for serving GOD faithfully!
Thank you for these moments captured for us in time!
Love and many prayers,
Teri
