Sisters Series: Episode 1 (Tuesday Prayer Hour)

Happy Monday Sisters!

Today we’re taking the Sisters Series through our very own Living Proof office for a little glimpse into our Tuesday Prayer Hour.

Every Tuesday, from noon to 1 p.m., we open the doors of our ministry for any woman or girl that wants to stop by for prayer. We get the privilege of praying over a variety of requests with so many spectacular ladies, and we just love it.

If you’re in the Houston area, please don’t hesitate to swing by during our Prayer Hour. We’ve got your back in prayer if you need it.

    Dear Sisters,
    Sure wouldn’t make any sense to hop on a fast jet and come there! I would have a tough sell trying to convince my hubby to spend the airfare for that short time, grin! I know other sisters have much more need than I do, but, wow! What a neat ministry! Praying it continues to grow and be a great resource to a city that had quite a bit of trauma this past year.Personally I see so many answers to prayers in my life both the yes’ of God and the no’s. Our son continues to be in a nursing home as a victim of a massive hemorrhagic stroke last summer. Forty-four is far too young to be in a nursing home but God uses us! Though Brian can not speak and is paralyzed and spends long hours in a wheel chair daily, we as a family minister to others there by sharing the love of Jesus Christ to some who are afraid of the future, to those who are near death, to those who are very lonely. I have given out Bibles, shared in prayer, given The Word to those who have no devo books etc. God may have said a no to Brian’s healing here any way,but some day he will leap like a new calf in a meadow but for now we share Jesus for him there!
    Love to you all! The office looks lovely!
    Blessings and love,
    Betty

    This is so great and so amazing, just yesterday at the Church I attend in So Cal they announced they are creating a prayer room for us to go by and pray anytime, they are also assigning hours for the staff to feel free (during their shift) to go off and pray in there.

    Amazing seeing God draw us off to pray with Him!

    Thank you for all you do,
    Linda

    I would love to be in the hourly prayer meetings, we meet every monday night at our church, just a few couples, at times the spirit of the Lord is palpable, other times the prayers seem mechanical.

    Hi ladies,

    That was so wonderful to see the Living Proof Ministry facilities. I love the idea that you open up your “home” for prayer. If I ever get back to Texas I’ll look you all up.

    I am new to Cocoa Beach Fl and miss my old friends. I just don’t feel apart of this community of ladies that have been friends since 2nd grade.I’m in a bible study with them and I know they wouldn’t hurt any one on purpose but there very inclusive with there relationships. I would love for you to pray for me to adjust, and that I’ll remember that Jesus is my true friend.

    I’m reading Audacious and honestly it’s been life changing for me. I’m 72 and never had that kind of desire to fall deeply in love with Jesus. You said ask HIM to give you the desire. I did and HE came through, but I have this fear that I’ll go back to the way I was, just going through the Christian motions that every one expects.I’m terrified I’ll fall back. Please pray for me token believing that He loves me more than words describe and keep believing this is for real!!

    Blessings to you all for being such a joy to ladies.

    Please pray for my son Cameron. He has split from his fiancé of 7 years who is not a Christian . They have 2 children. Cameron is a Christian but has turned his back on God. He is very angry.He is staying with us to financially get back on his feet. My grandchildren do not live in a good environment. Their aunt who is around them has decided she is gay and her partner is around them. So many bad influences.! I turn this over to God. Thank you

    Y’all are so very precious!! I’ve been able to come for prayer a few times and always walk away built up in the faith and sometimes with a very specific word from the Lord. Thank you for obeying God and launching this Prayer Hour.

    Deborah Mott says:

    Since today is prayer at LPM 12-1 asking for prayer from Florida for What would The LORD have me and THE BODY OF CHRIST DO or say to uphold this command to guard the morality of sex and marriage as a bare necessity of our faith? Acts15:13-21 and 28,29) Message version.

    This is a question every Christian might, could benefit to ask themselves and ask their church in the cultural war we here in America find ourselves in: with abortion on demand and LGBTQ “politically correct”, media blitzes continuing in subtle and apparently effective ways toward our youngest children in society and at school with Comprehensive Sex Education common and in line with the “legalization of same sex marriage in our constitution” as a “new way of life” in America, we must take it to heart and bring actions AND MUCH PRAYER to establish the bare necessity, the guidelines, of guarding the morality of sex and marriage in upholding our Christian faith!

    Linda says:

    When you gather, Please pray for family reconciliation. That God’s army “conquers the evil that hovers over [our sons] home (exact words from our sons Christian counselor). Pray that anger subsides and truth prevails. Pray that I not waver in forgiveness but overcome hurt and fear with unconditional love and grace. And that our grandchildren are always safe. Thank you.

    Kristin says:

    Thank you so much for that wonderful glimpse into your prayer hour. I felt welcomed and loved and I wasn’t even there in person! 🙂 I walk away knowing that I need to pray more. Period. The Almighty God, the Creator of heaven and earth, The King of all kings, has His ear turned to me, ready to hear me and so often I stay silent.

    Thank you for this glimpse into LPM! One can feel the prayer warriors at work and the fire of the Lord in their bellies…inspiring, comforting. I do believe in the absolute power of prayer although so often I feel unequipped to pray easily and effectively.

    Amanda Rooney says:

    Dear Beth,

    Although you don’t know me by name, my sister, Ashley Wages Williams was Jackson’s first sitter when Amanda and Curtis lived in Irving – so we’re pretty much family! LOL!

    There are some big changes in store for our family this year, and I knew I need to lean on God in a raw and fresh way. So I was eager to begin The Quest when it was offered in July.

    Yesterday, we bid our firstborn son (19 years old) farewell as he left for boot camp in order to join the US Marine Corps. We did so with pride, but also with grief and angst.

    I began 3.3 yesterday of the Quest which covers Isaiah 40. It was a lot to cover in one day and with a heavy heart I couldn’t finish it all.

    This morning I woke at 3:00 – instantly praying for my son. And well… just never was able to go back to sleep. Around 5 I gave up trying and went in to read by bible and work on my lesson. I KID YOU NOT – picking up where I left off yesterday I read these words…

    “Have you not known? Have you not heard?
    The Lord is the everlasting God,
    the Creator of the ends of the earth.
    He does not faint or grow weary;
    his understanding is unsearchable.
    He gives power to the faint,
    and to him who has no might he increases strength.
    Even youths shall faint and e weary,
    and young men shall fall exhausted;
    but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength;
    they shall mount up with wings like eagles,
    they shall run and not be weary;
    they shall walk and not faint.”

    I’ve read those verses numerous times before, but never were they as fitting. The chapter of Isaiah 40 is titled: Comfort for God’s People. WOW.

    Thank you for pouring your heart out in this study. Hoping you are encouraged today by the way God is using you and using to this study to meet me and so many others right where we are. Every. Single. Day.

    Thank you so very much,
    Amanda
