I never dreamed it wouldn’t be in Texas. 🙁 please pray for me that I can find the cash to come to FL.
but even if I don’t make it to the party- I have REALLY LOVED doing the SSMT! ❤️❤️

Beth,
I am very disappointed in this change of place and change of date for several reasons. SSMT has been on MLK weekend for at least the last 2 times which gave us a 3 day weekend to work with. Plus this was always a free event that was just about the SSMT. Ft. Lauderdale, Florida is so far southeast. How about making it a simulcast?
Meredith
Hi Meredith! Sorry for the late response and we’re so sorry to have caused any disappointment. Our hope was to add to the celebration and give a chance for some new Siestas to join us who maybe don’t have the opportunity to travel to Texas. We landed on Florida because we were trying to keep it early in the year and felt Florida would offer more for ladies than the January Seattle LPL. We won’t be able to simulcast the event, but we sure hope you will be able to join us for the free SSMT event (https://store.lproof.org/registration-2018-ssmt-celebration.html) Thank you for understanding!

Dear Beth,
I am so disappointed that the event is not in Houston this year, or at least somewhere closer than Florida! I am in California, and to fly across the U.S. for a weekend does not make sense to me. Also, last year, the entire weekend with you was free of charge, but this year I need to pay $59 for Friday night and Saturday morning. I know you will probably find some of our siestas excited to get out of the snow and go to Florida, but this siesta is so sad. I will try to get some girlfriends to go to the San Diego event with me.
Blessings,
oh Julie – I am so sorry we caused any disappointment. Our hope was to add to the celebration and bless. You absolutely do not have to attend the LPL portion which is the discounted ticket price of 59.00 – The SSMT portion is still free of charge. We landed on Florida because we were trying to keep it early in the year and felt Florida would offer more for ladies than the January Seattle LPL.
Please forgive us for the sadness this brought you.
love, sabrina
Heh Sabrina,
I originally posted a comment here that was never answered. Now it has disappeared. Do you know why?

Hi Hannah,
My name is Tammy Causey. I live in Humboldt, TN. This is my first year to participate in the scripture memory challenge. Unfortunately Houston and Fort Lauderdale are a great distance from me. I too was very excited to hear the final plans for the celebration. Unfortunately as I checked lodging fees around Fort Lauderdale I have to admit I am unable to offord those. I can afford a flight and my meals and will be happy to contribute to back and forth gas. Would you be willing to help a sister with lodging. I can bring a sleeping bag and sleep on a couch or a floor.
My phone # is 731-414-5829 (text or call) and my email is [email protected].
In Christ Love, with hopefulness,
Tammy Causey
