Dear Loved of God,
Rather than write a blog post as I normally do at this most sacred time on our Christian calendar, I felt that perhaps God was leading me to simply speak Scripture pertaining to the arrest, suffering, crucifixion and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. My prayer is that God would use His own Word to stir your heart with remembrance toward the most pivotal weekend in all of human history. My hope is that you can grab 20 minutes over this Easter weekend to watch and listen in order to meditate on a Scripture narrative as powerful today as it was the day God inspired the pens of men.
I am deeply grateful to Stephen Proctor, one of my all-time favorite fellow-conspirators, for weaving in fitting but unobtrusive images and for Tony Anderson for providing music of his own composition.
Because of Jesus,
Beth

Beautiful. As Christ was conversing with His Father – “Lord if you will take this cup.” I imagine Him saying, “Not Melissa’s sins. They are too great. They are hers!” But then as He considered it all he replied,”Let me take them. I will take them all.” Praise His name he took them all. Once and for all. By grace are we saved. Beautiful.

The powerful totality of this story is an excellent reminder that God’s story is still being written. As a widow living alone, I trust His ways are higher, and His plan is good. Thank you Beth!

In so many of our congregations we have merely made this special day nothing more than ritual. Oh, that we will take these scriptures into our hearts and minds and make them a part of us so that we will understand the greatness of the sacrifice. Thank you for sharing with us, sweet Beth.
TEARS!!! OH how I am so undeserving of such love and grace!!!

What a gift. Was intent on some reflection today and as I sat on my back porch in the quiet I remembered this so I pulled it out and was truly blessed. All about the LORD & I thank Him but I’ll thank you too.

Thank you for this beautiful summary of the great gifts God gave us on that holy weekend 2017 years ago! I have been studying this topic for 2 weeks and found this summary powerful and anointed. Bless you as you continue to spread the word! We are New Creatures in Christ by His grace and for His glory so that we can share the good news to others still bound in their Old way of life. Jesus is Good News to the world!
Wow, Thank You, very much enjoyed this. So well put together connecting the scripture. Scripture works on our hearts in ways that words can’t express.
The perfect message on Good Friday. Hugs
SO refreshing to be drench in His Word, to relish in this weekend….thank you for this.
Hi Beth, for some reason I’m not able to see your blog videos anymore- I’ve tried Firefox, chrome and my iPhone but they don’t show up. On Firefox I’m getting an error code that says the Vimeo is configured improperly(?) can your media person check? I’d love to be able to see these! Happy Easter!
I’m so sorry you’re aren’t able to see the videos, Amy. It might not make any difference but if you are on an Apple machine, maybe try Safari. It can make a difference for me sometimes.
Thank you. for this powerful message.
