I’m booked!
Good morning,
My name is Carrie and I am from Canada. I started with the Scripture Memory and I have tried to stay with it. I am new to the Word and I have to be honest. I did not get a few of the scriptures in. But I have started it back up again. So I have a few questions and I hope that you have time to look at them.
Do you have ladies who come in from Canada to this event?
I am thinking that after watching the little video clip you posted along with this blog that I am still able to get caught up with the scirptures. But what if we don’t remember the scriputes by heart once we get to this event? I am worried that I will forget them.
And I will be coming alone if I do come so is it easy to meet ladies who are new like me? I am not new to Jesus but just have not been dedicated to Him but I am changing this. I understand that this event is for all faiths in Christ as I was broough up Catholic but love the fact that we can all share our walk with God no matter what our back ground is.
Thank you once again,
Carrie
Hi Carrie, Thank you for your sweet questions. There are sisters from all over the world (!) that are on this memorization journey together. Many that hang in there with it ‘qualify’ by memorizing and posting their verses, but unfortunately not all of those who do the work are able to attend the Celebration. While I do not know for certain if we will have any Canadian sisters join us in January, I know for a fact that we have had them attend in previous years. (shout out, Lisa Braun!) And, we totally understand your nerves about saying your verses at the event. We certainly won’t kick you out, grin, and we are a really helpful group with lots of grace. I pray you only feel like a ‘newbie’ for 2.4 seconds. We look forward to having you, Carrie!
Hi Carrie!
Where in Canada are you from? I have lived in Bismarck, North Dakota for 20 years, but I was born and raised in Winnipeg. If I am able to come, this will be my first SSMT Celebration too. I also don’t know ANYBODY else who will be going….
I have a question too. My question is, how long will registration be open? Because I really, really want to come to Houston but I don’t know yet if it will be possible, and might not know for a few months yet.
-Susan
Registration will be open for a good long time, Susan. Probably through the end of December, so it’s fine if you don’t just yet!
Hi Carrie, I am from Alberta and the first year of the SSMT I attended by myself. I was able to meet other women pretty easily. It was a great experience and I hope you’ll be able to go. I’m sure you will enjoy it, I sure did!!
I’m booked and super excited!
Thinking about coming to Houston for this. Don’t laugh at me but I’m trying to find a hotel that is dog friendly. I know Beth will appreciate this. Love my dog! We walk together every a.m. EARLY and he would miss me so if I didn’t bring him. In the winter, he watches me do Beth Moore studies on the treadmill!!! He seriously would love to meet Beth. I promise I won’t bring him to the church but maybe he and I can turn it into a weekend of worship and hiking. Unless of course y’all need a mascot. Just kidding. Maybe.
Oh my, I just love seeing your sweet faces on a video! I wish you could see mine just a-grinning while I watch. I so want to come this year, but I’m just not sure yet if it’s going to work out. I haven’t made it to any of the celebrations yet, but one day, it’s going to happen! =)
Loved that Sabrina was on this video clip today!!! Hopped on blog looking for LPL Simukcast information for a fiend & this is what pooped up. I’m super excited about coming in January. Wasn’t able to come in 2014. Looking forward to meeting more precious Siestas!!!
I’m booked! My friend Amanda and I will be coming down together. This is the first SSMT year for both of us, and it’s been such a great journey!
Blessings,
Andrea
YAY! I’m booked and thrilled to have this celebration in my sights! Can’t wait to meet some new Siestas….see you there.
Abundant blessings as we stay in His Word!

Hi Sabrina…sure love you lady! 🙂
I have to say yall mentioned how the dynamic has changed with the groups of people that come back for the picture. It’s interesting how blogging was so huge and now the excitement comes from knowing their memorizing scripture! And I’m reading on the fear of the Lord right now and I have come to conclusion that yes it’s beautiful to meet people you’ve known through blogging but to know them from coming to a blog that they only know because of scripture memorization— that must please the Lord so much.
Anyhow, I’m not coming but one day I’ll make it out there..:-)
Xoxo

P.S- Beth, i wanted to mention that gift I gave you I found on etsy.com if you wanted to find it for someone else too!

He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; He set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. Psalm 40:2 NIV
Woohoo! Booked! This will be my second SSMT celebration. I came all by my lonesome last time and will attest that I didn’t feel alone for long. I made a some friends that day and we’ve kept up via social media and email for past two years:) The teaching and worship will be dynamite and you will be charged up to start a new year!!
I would love to come. One question: Would the ministry be open to visit on Friday during the day? Perhaps a tour? It would be a great thing to do while visiting Houston. Thank you!
Great question, Naomi! I so wish we could have a ‘yes’ for this fun request. Our office is not really set up for tours per se, as these are our administrative/shipping offices. We are about 45 minutes from HFBC where the Celebration will be. We are a small staff, and I fully anticipate that we will be scurrying around on Friday as we prepare for all the Siestas that weekend!
I laughed when you said that our little books would have kid markings on them. Mine does and I LOVE it! Well, at first I was miffed, but of course I will always treasure my daughter practicing her people on my SSMT spiral. You gals are so sweet and encouraging. I am plugging away on my memory verses. I am so thankful for God’s Word to fill my heart and life.
I am registered. How do I find the hotels that are closest to the event? I will be coming alone from Indiana.
RaeLeen Bustin-Ellis
Bloomington, Indiana
Great, RaeLeen! You will see a “Documents” tab where you registered that that has hotel suggestions. That is our FAQ page. (Your registration verification email should have the link so you can go back and view this at any time.)
I want to go, but I’m not sure I can bring myself to do it. It’s so totally out of my comfort zone to get in the car and go somewhere where I don’t know anyone! I’m not sure I could do it.
Michelle you should go!! I had a great time at the last one and I promise you will meet people and have fun! If you reply to me then we can become friends and you will have someone to sit with! 🙂
Keri Lee, I would love that so much! 🙂
I booked! Yikes!!
Woohoo!!! I can’t wait to meet you in person!!
Yay!!! So excited! All registered – Can’t wait to see everyone!
Is the 21 out of 24 a typo ? Or did you mean 12 out of 24? Just asking
No typo, Nell! But you did made me go back and double check. Grin. Beth asked us (in the Introduction Post) to post/memorize 21 out of 24 verses, and to be ready to recite at least 10 of them at the Celebration.
Booked!! I am looking forward to being there!
After attending the first two, then having to miss the last one, my husband said I MUST go this year! I’m registered and verses are being planted and watered! Can’t wait to celebrate with you all!!!

I booked me a spot to come but will be coming alone and all the way from Kingman, AZ. This is my first time as part of SSMT. I have facilitated 10 of Beth’s Bible studies and have been to several of her LPL conferences over the years but have never attended something so far from home all alone. Wondering if there is anyone out there from my area going. I’m a little nervous about traveling somewhere I’ve never been to before on my own but I really want to attend. I am always so blessed by Beth’s teachings and would love to be there for the celebration. God will work out the details ❤️
Hi Yvonne! I am from Las Vegas and will be attending. I have a lot of family in Kingman and visit there regularly. Lets get connected so we can work on attending together! 🙂 You will probably be flying out of Las Vegas anyway, right?
Hi Keri – Looking forward to connecting with you!! I sent you a Facebook message

Hi…I started the Scripture Memory with everyone in January, but “life” soon took a turn that I wasn’t expecting & I got “just a little” behind. I’m back in full swing now, and my spiral is getting full, but I haven’t posted any of my Scriptures on the blog – does that matter? I signed up to come to the SSMT Celebration in January, and wanna make sure I do what I’m supposed to do.

Just wondering if the hotel and other info has been posted. I don’t want to miss it. I’ve registered thru this site, but haven’t seen anything about the hotels yet.
Hi Marsha, Hotel information can be found through the app you used to Register. The easiest way to see the information is to go back to your registration confirmation email, click on the link provided (for BookWhen). Click on the little link “Back to SSMT Celebration 2016” at the top. That will take you back to the main registration page, then “Documents” has a Q&A listing of information, including hotel suggestions. Please let me know if you need further help!
never mind…I found it and already made the reservations for our group. thanks.

I have attended all 3 of the previous celebrations. They are lots of fun. So anyone who is undecided about coming, I encourage you to come. You will meet many siestas. I was scared the first time about saying the verses to someone, but everyone encourages you and helps you out. I just registered for the one in January and am looking forward to coming and seeing some of the others I met in the past.
Hi everyone! I would love to do this scripture memory thing but could someone explain to me how it works? I’m sure it’s simple but I looked around the website and couldn’t find any explanation.
Thank you!
I sent you an email with some information, Leslie. Happy to have you!
