How to Have a Fabulous Summer in 2 Words: Bible Study!!

Hey, Everybody! I am beside myself with joy over the options we get to recommend for summer Bible study! Watch this video and you’ll see how we’re going about it this summer. Since this is an SSMT (Scripture memory) year and it commands so much of the blog, we have to arrange summer Bible study a little differently but it is going to be fantastic! I am looking so forward to it. OK, give this video a look and you’ll understand pretty easily what to do from there. Can’t wait!

So excited! I’m working through Kelly’s study right now and will be going through Angie’s beginning in June. I need to be in the word and this is the perfect way to get me back on track 🙂

Oh my goodness, first of all, it is so good to see your sweet face and hear your sweet voice on the blog today, Ms. Beth! I know we (unfortunately) are not BFFs in the real world, but I feel that Siesta-bond we have through Christ so completely, and it does my heart good. Second of all, I just want to do ALL THE STUDIES! Seriously, I’m having Bible-study envy. (Is that a sin? Is that even a thing?!) I just completed Margaret Feinberg’s Wonderstruck–loved it!–and now I’m dying to get my hands on her Fight Back With Joy study. I have already committed to doing Priscilla Shirer’s Jonah: Navigating a Life Interrupted this summer. (We’re starting June 11 and going till July 23.) My sister-in-love is leading and facilitating a Bible study in her home for the first time, and I couldn’t be more excited to get into it. But now I just want to do both of these too!! *grin* Praying blessings all over everyone participating this summer.
(P.S. Can’t wait for Living Proof Live in Tampa!!)
(P.P.S. I think this is the longest comment I’ve ever left. Forgive me.)

    Janine says:

Thanks for info on these studies, Beth! I may be using “Seamless” with a friend who is relatively new to the faith – its perfect!
My Bible study group will be using “Restless: Because You were Made for More,” by Jennie Allen, this summer – very powerful, too!

    fuzzytop says:

    Hello!

My daughter, Rachel, and I started the ‘Seamless’ study this weekend. Rachel took one look at Angie’s photo in the inside of the book and said “Oh great… she’s beautiful and so ‘put together’ that I will never be able to relate to her”. And then we watched the Introductory Session and Rachel decided that Angie is very relatable after all… I think it is going to be a precious time for us to do this together.

And my two best Bible Study friends, Linda and Sarah, and I are going through Beth’s “Beloved Disciple” study. We’re going at a slower pace and are about half-way through. We tell each other we need to avoid becoming “scriptural slugs” and the best way to do that is to stay in His Word through a study.

So grateful for LPM and all you do for us.

    Much love,
    Adrienne

These two studies look so good! Our church ladies are doing Breath! I am really looking forward to it (starts next week)!

Loved the video, love your ministry! Praise God for His goodness sweeping through the Body of Christ! Beth, I know you said not to comment on your hair, but it looks so cute, so I hope a good comment is okay.
Please pray for me and God will with what I do. I’m torn (in a good way) now that I saw these Bible Study options for this summer. I often do the Proverbs31 online bible studies and I had signed up for theirs that starts in June, and was planning to invite two women (not sure if they are Christians, women God has on my heart who are in my life). Anyway, now I’m wondering if I should do one of these studies and invite the women to one of these instead. When you were talking about the “Seamless” study, I heard someone (at work now) say “Seamless” in the background, so I wondered “is that the one God is choosing for me to invite these hurting women to?” (and myself, I always need to learn and grow). I greatly appreciate your prayers and apologize for the long comment. God bless your work for His Kingdom and Glory. Love you!
P.S. I have one of Angie’s books and I love how God’s tenderness flows through her.

So fun to have options, Amber! Praying the Lord leads to just the right one for you and and your friends!

      • Thanks so much for your prayers! You are a blessing. I decided to go with the Seamless study as I felt the Lord led me. And have started inviting other women. Also I checked out “What Love Is” study online too, and hope to do that one someday as well. May the Lord work in each of the women’s lives in mighty ways through these Bible studies.

Beth, my summer needs to be spent writing to you about the horror your ministry healed me from, walking me ever so slowly thru 3 years of your studies, starting with the Inheritance n culminating with your live conference in AC, NJ right in the middle of Children of the Day! Five sons abused by clergy gone haywire-abandoned by family, friends…marriage breathing on oxygen- mixed in with a murdered best friend of a daughter then suffering PTSD, butying 2 grandsons, a few car accidents, drugs, alcohol addiction, our family was a mess! All 12 of our children flailing in different directions…the gift of your ministry is MY personal mirical as God chose each study I did to step me thru total healing, forgiveness, renewed marriage and I now watch, one by one as my children come back to His holy arms also! And the son who was first to tell n most damaged- His testimony is HUGE! He is a BIKER’S FOR CHRIST and openly shares his journey thru drink, pornagraphic addiction…knows his bible like I only hope to! Your ministry has been powerful in my life…thank you for saying YES TO JESUS!

He will never cease to amaze me! God is so good, and so faithful. He is working all around and within us. Even, maybe especially, when we cannot see it yet. So grateful to God to hear your testimony.

    Jaime G. says:

I was able to work through #What Love Is at the beginning of the year! What a blessing that study turned out to be. It brought me to my knees several times. I would have to say it was probably one of the most heart touching bible study I’ve had the honor of working through.I have heard some about the Seamless study but I am so glad you took a moment to give a better understanding of the study. Looks like that will be my summer study! Can’t wait!

  17. 17
    Laurie says:

Thank you so much for these Beth! Your enthusiasm is so inspiring. I haven’t done a bible study in quite awhile and was walking in the park this morning thinking that I was craving a Beth Moore Bible Study so went online to see if anyone was doing one in my area and saw your post about these. I will definitely be doing one of them. I’m going to see if my daughters would like to join me. I’ll be having surgery next week for breast cancer and will have a bit of downtime so this is just PERFECT! God’s timing also – always perfect. 🙂 Thanks again for the energy, effort and love you put into your work.

    Jennifer says:

Hello! I have a quick question. I have an 11 year old daughter. Would Seamless be appropriate for her or is she still too young? She’s been a believer for about 5 years and has struggled this school year with the lack of Christian friends. I thought this might be fun for us to do together. Thanks!

Hi Jennifer, It sounds like a fun summer study for mom and daughter! Only you would know if she was ready for it, but it’s nice that they have a “teen” study version for this. Lifeway might be a great help to answer your question. You can reach them at 800-458-2772.

I have had a couple of exciting weeks and have not gotten caught up as yet. I am not sure which study I will do as yet.. Was in Tx for the first time two weeks ago along with my daughter who attended a conference in San Antone. I loved the city and th ecoutry side. Saw alot of great stuff. My fav was the Hill country tour which took us to the LBJ ranch. Whether or not you ever truly loved him as pres you can learn something by touring the Tx White House. I was struck by how simply the Johnson family lived. So often we think we have to impress others with our luxurious surroundings. Here was a family who loved their simple life there in a TX farm/ranch house. They entertained a guest list that would humble us to tears and they were not ashamed of having less than many have. It changed my life!
Loved the Hill country and came home did not even get my bags unpacked, and found our first grand child was ready to be born.We spent many hours waiting for the birth of our first grand child. Lisa Jo was born May 21. So lots of excitement here. Have a dog recovering from bladder stone surgery as well!
I missed the last SSMT verse too and hope to catch up nest week. Whew!
Sorry for all the flooding there TX as so pretty when we were there hopefully everything is bathed in sunshine soon!
As soon as the dust settles, I will with the Lord’s help chose a study!
Love to all and hope life is going better for all Texans and a special note of love and prayers for the Moore household in the passing of Keith’s Dad.

I’ve just bought What Love Is ready to start in the summer.
I’ve also started to read The Beloved Disciple to prepare the ground for when we all do the study. I feel really excited!
When we’ve completed this one I plan to go back and work through Seamless.
Two studies and memorising all my verses! I am praying for a deepening of my relationship with The Lord this year.

    Carolyn Stutz says:

I just signed up this morning – after having been notified by Lifeway! – for both studies. Obviously I don’t check this blog every day otherwise I’d have known about the studies days ago…
I’m almost finished with Breaking Free. I worked through it several years ago. Unfortunately, I didn’t date it so I don’t know when it was, but I do remember thinking, “there’s something wrong with me because I’m not getting anything out of this study!” I remember feeling such a sadness. Well, after years spent in the desert God led me to Breaking Free again. I do believe timing is everything because there’s a huge difference this time around. I will not look through my previous book until this one is done, but I’m anxious to see what my answers were then. I want to know just how far God has brought me.
Back to the summer studies…I’ve asked my 20-year-old daughter to join me (with just one) and am praying she says yes.
Looking forward to learning more and growing…
