    Dori Cook says:

    Beth,

I am delighted to pray for you! I finished James in March…literally closed the last page of homework just 13 days before my Daddy went to be with the Lord. It was a short, unexpected illness – just 9 days from the ER, to diagnosis, to glory.

The ONLY REASON I am telling you this is because if you are ever prone to wonder if these studies “still work” or if God is still speaking through your faithfulness to study and then teach…IT STILL WORKS.

I have no idea how I would have gotten through 9 days of jaw dropping suffering and grief had I not really looked intently into the “perfect law that gives freedom” and really poured over and worked out what it means to “consider it pure joy.”

These studies that lead us to read and work the Word continue to make a difference. His Word is life. Thank you for letting us join for Bible study time and time again!!

Speak the Word, Dear Sister! You are covered!!!

    Blessings,
    Dori Cook

As I watched this video, I can’t express how moved I am with love and gratitude for you. You say you love us… but it must be a Spirit thing the other way around too… I love you and I’m proud of you like you’re my own true mama. And we’ve never “met”—though I certainly feel I know you well by now! I love your heart for the Word and for prayer. I am so glad I got to pray for you on video and you prayed for us. I am surely praying for you and I can HARDLY wait to study 1/2 Thess. with you! Got a delicious taste of them this semester in my seminary class “Survey of the NT”… but I know this will be… well, a feast to linger over. I highly anticipate this, and will pray for you this week (especially energy and strength—wow! What a week!) and over the next year as you continue on in it. God has made you a wonder Beth Moore.

It is an honor to pray for you each day this week. I’m at work and people are coming in and out, but as you prayed all was quiet and I was able to whisper a prayer for all the needs you mentioned.
I’m going to send an e-mail to the ladies who attend the Bible studies at our church and ask them to be praying too. We love your studies & it will be extra special next fall when we do this study. Thank you!!!!

    Lynn Cooper says:

    Dear Beth,
Prayers have been and will be lifted for you and for the Spirit be with you and this taping during the week. This is special for me because over the last year 1st Thess. 5:16-18 has become a blessing to me, a guide for me and each word a revelation everyday little by little. My father in law was diagnosed with cancer in January 2012 and was given 6 months, he rejoiced 6 weeks. In those last 6 weeks he quoted 1st Thess. 5:16-18 and I saw the scriptures lived out in his final days of truly what it means to have faith in God. I can’t wait to study this new bible study and have the Holy Spirit teach me so much more. Bless you as you continue to follow His leading and your leading us to walk closer to Him daily. God, bless Beth this week, may your spirit fall upon her in a mighty way and give her an extra touch of your love and provision for this taping. I pray this in your name and by your grace. AMEN

I pray you will feel and see His divine presence in a very real and physical way. Knowing that the Glory of The Lord will shine upon you. We will be looking for the glow way down here in Madison GA. Thank you all for your faithful service and the great blessings you bring to so many. Grace and Glory!

    Hannah Hancock says:

Prayed for you, on my knees, face in the ground! What a sweet encouragement you have been in my life and in the lives of countless women all over the world. I am so excited you are doing a study on 1 & 2 Thessalonians!! I memorized 1 Thessalonians 5 in high school when I claimed those verses for my life (verse 19 ESPECIALLY!) and was tickled when I first caught on that you were writing a study on those books. I’ll be praying for you all week! Love you!

  25. 75
    Laura says:

Beth, you and the women at the taping will be in my prayers daily. I am committed to praying the rest of this week specifically for the presence of the Holy Spirit to be tangible at those taping sessions and for a hedge of protection around you and those women against any type of oppression or distraction the enemy may try to come against you with. My own walk with Christ began as a result of one of your studies so I am very aware of the importance of the work and ministry God is doing through you to reach a world desperate for His love and His Word. May Christ be your constant source of strength this week and may you know always that you the prayers of myself and my children are with you!!

    Dear Beth,

Curtis mentioned you needed a prayer a couple of weeks ago at church and since then the Holy Spirit has continued to prompt me to stop and pray for you. I have had no idea WHAT I was praying FOR, but I have trusted, God does.
Thank you for sharing this part of the preparation and allowing us to prepare with you before the Lord. Now, I will pray more specifically this week, knowing God hears our cries and is faithful to do all that He desires in your time teaching-for you and for the ears that will hear.
    Bless you,
    Candace

    Hi Beth,
It was such a privilege for you to let us pray for you! and to keep praying all week! you just make me smile so much, as I printed out the prayer you prayed in an earlier blog for us and I read it every day, it so speaks to me in this season and so I loved having you there literally receiving the prayer just now!

I am reading a book called “Walking in the Dust of Rabbi Jesus” by Lois Tverberg, and I just read about the phrase “kiddush hashem (ki-DOOSH ha-SHEM), or “to hallow the name.” She explains, “… the desire that God’s reputation will grow on earth, that people will accept God’s reign over their lives and desire to do His will.” That is so what came to my mind when you were talking, and that is what I am praying all week!

    Blessings to you dear sister!

I prayed for you right now and will most certainly be doing so everyday this week! I have been so wrapped up in your Life Today messages the last few weeks Beth, and nothing has so ~stirred~ up my heart for Jesus and his word like your teachings have! I was also one of the 20 something’s that asked for prayer, and the comments on that post brought me to tears. I so look forward to continue reading; strange to say but you are beloved to me like the Mama I never had..

Blessings to the whole team this week!

Praying for you right now, and I am committing to pray for you all week. I wish I could just sneak on over from Chattanooga and insert myself right in the path your Bible teaching all week. grin.
I am so excited for Thessalonians. My memory verse for the upcoming 2 weeks comes from 1 Thessalonians, and it has been a HUGE ah-ha scripture for me. I have always thought I had no aspirations or goals in life because I have always wanted to simply live out my daily walk loving and serving those around me. I thought that my aspirations had to be BIG to be considered aspirations at all, but according to 1 Thess. 4:11, we are urged to aspire to live a quiet life, mind our own business, and work with our own hands. My aspiration doesn’t have to be big be considered an aspiration, it just has to be what God has called me to, and in this season, He has called me to be a stay home mom living my quiet life and serving and loving and teaching those is my circle of influence. Can’t wait for many more treasures from Thessalonians! Love you Blog Mama!

To GOD be the GLORY!
