Can’t wait! I am in NEED of God’s distraction from the chaos of this world! Thank You! Beth I have to tell you, I watched you on Life Today yesterday and cried through the whole thing. God really let me know He is with me as yesterday one of my worst fears DID come true!! But I am getting back up and going to have Joy in the midst of the circumstances!! Please pray for my first born adult son!! He NEEDS to find his way back to God. And I am counting on God’s promise that when I train up a child in His ways that he will NOT go his own way!!! I’m right there with you, it was the second time I’ve seen that episode which is odd because they usually don’t repeat on this station, I took it that The Lord really wanted me to listen. I found myself face down on the floor and I’m fearful that I’m facing my own worst “If—— Then—-“. I trust He is and will be picking me up and carrying me. He is my everything. You and your son are in my prayers Colette, continually.

Yay, so glad the bible study is happening this year. Totally was not expecting it. We are not doing a bible study at church this summer, so this will be perfect.
Hi, Beth! Thank you for hosting summer Bible study again! I just e-mailed a friend to see if she’s interested in getting a small group together, but if that doesn’t work out, I’ll definitely do the study on my own.
I am also a participant in SSMT for the 3rd time. THANK YOU for equipping us to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus and our minds in the Word in every season!!!

So excited for Siestas doing this study! Funny thing is that it seems I’m going to be hosting James instead. It went from me needing/wanting to do that (even solo) to inviting two ladies, to them having THREE mom&daughter teams wanting to join in. The daughters are in their teens or twenties. I’m intimidated, excited, blown away. James will be hard enough for me alone… you know He is in this if all these folks come. ANYWAY, praying for all you Siestas and the joy and revelation Priscilla’s study will bring! Go Jesus! 🙂

Wow! What a surprise! I was not expecting a Bible study in additon to scripture memory verses. What a treat! Last year was my 1st Siesta Bible study with Beth, and it was awesome! This is my 1st year doing the scripture memory verses, which has been a challenge. So what fun to get to do a Bible study too. I am glad Beth, that we siestas encourage you, because you give me so much encouragement! Thank you! I will be seeing you in November at LPL in Daytona Beach!

Wow this is such a relief and came on the perfect day. I found out on Sunday we would have NO small group bible study at church over the summer. I just finished Jesus The One And Only yesterday and was floundering this morning about what to do for the summer. GOD is sooo good!

1. Ms. Beth mentioned there will be links to Ms. Priscilla’s videos to download for our summer study. Normally I know these videos are $5 a session. Will there be this added cost through the summer?
2. Is this study good for a couples small group or is it more geared towards women?

Hi Kelli, I think the videos will be $5 a session. As far as who to do the study with, that is totally up to you. I’ve not done it yet so while it’s written for women, I wouldn’t doubt that couples would benefit from it as well, but that’s your call! I hope that helps. Blessings!
So the cost will be workbook plus $5 for each video? How much would total be then for the whole study? I attend Beth’s fall studies she does with her “home girls” as she calls us at Houston’s First Baptist Church, and am really interested in doing this one too, but am new to this site and style of Bible study, so am a little unsure about how this will all work…:)
Hey Janet, each of the sessions are $5, and their are six sessions total, so that would be $30, plus the cost of the book which is $15, so that would be $45 all together. However, if you do the sessions with a small group, I would assume you could split the cost. I hope that helps! I’m also in Canada, although a little further south than you. Is there a bookstore nearby that could order the book for you? That might be a little cheaper. I usually do that for ordering books for these because getting Lifeway to ship across the border is expensive.
A Christian bookstore should be able to. But I’ve also ordered Christian books from other bookstores and had no problem getting it. Might be an option to look into for you.

Yeah! I am in! So excited to do another summer study that I can be committed to, and yet do it “solo”. I may be in transition this summer with a relocation to another state. This study allows me to stay in the Word wherever I am!!

I’m so excited to do Gideon online. I was planning to do it on my own this summer as preparation for my group of ladies this fall. So this is a big bonus. I already have the book and DVD.
I LOVE that this can all be done/watched online! I not only will get to go through it with friends from all over the US & Africa, but will be able to log on and watch while working in Kenya this summer. I might even get the Kenyans to join!!!! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!! So stoked!

We were just discussing our next summer Bible study at the Women’s Bible Study café, which we always do with Beth in the summer, and we were praying Beth would be announcing Gideon.
