Needed: PRAYER.

Hey, Everybody! We are super excited about this year of ministry both on the road and off the road but it occurred to me in Phoenix two weeks ago that it might be time to ask you prayer warriors to really press in if you’re willing.  I know your plates are all full just like ours are. I also know that your intercessory list is probably a mile long. None of us can cover everything but, if God makes room on those knees of yours for our Living Proof staff and the ministry He’s assigned to us, and for my family and me, we would try not to let a single second of it go to waste. We would actively receive with gratitude and humility and with much praise to God for you.

Things have really heated up around here. We were blessed out of our minds to have a fresh sense of God’s presence in Phoenix at our last LPL but, boy, did we ever have some obstacles. It truly was uncanny and caused us to realize that we can’t just approach the coming year like the previous year. At our last LPL, many of us on the team got sick almost instantly upon arriving. It’s one of the few times in all these years that I taught so hoarse that I was afraid I’d lose my voice completely before the event was over. Just so you’ll know how unusual that was, I literally have not been to the doctor in over three years for any kind of sickness. God has really blessed me in this season will wellness but my experience in Phoenix reminded me not to take that for granted. One of our praise members ended up in the emergency room twice that weekend. It was just nuts. Add to that the warfare and we were truly in the hornet’s nest. We LOVED the group! They were fantastic and God was gloriously faithful but He called us to vividly fight for the victory at that event.

My beloved family and I could also use some added prayer right now. Please know that God is showing such faithfulness to us and revealing Himself in multiple ways. He reminds us continually that He is committed to us. Where would we be if He were not?? I don’t want anyone worrying. I just want to make sure I’ve humbled myself and asked for a solid prayer covering. As James 4:2 says, we have not because we ask not. The first thing on the prayer docket this week is the Greensboro, North Carolina Living Proof Live. We are ecstatic to be heading there and ask that you request such a revelation of Christ’s presence and power among us that we never forget it. Two weeks later we will be in Eugene, Oregon for Living Proof Live and we can hardly wait. I have a feeling Jesus has something special for us there. In mid-May I have the LifeWay taping for the next Bible study series (won’t be on the shelves for a year though!) and trust me when I tell you that we will be getting VERY specific with you about prayer mobilization for that week. For now, just get that on your radar. We will be desperate for your prayers and very dependent upon them.

I love you so much that I always feel a little reluctant to ask something more of you. You are the most giving, serving community I’ve ever experienced. I do not take one moment of your time for granted. Every time a sister tells me that she prays often for me, I am moved to the core. Faith-driven intercession takes effort. You could give us no greater gift. We deeply want to please God and have pure hearts and clear minds and servant-attitudes. And above all else for me personally, pray that I will love Jesus more than anything in this entire world. Pray the same for my whole family and for this ministry staff as a whole. Pray that for Travis Cottrell, my co-laborer and spiritual son. When you don’t know exactly how to direct your prayers for any of us, PRAY THAT! All else hinges on that one thing. We want to love Jesus. We NEED to love Jesus. Loving Him is the only thing that cleanses our hearts and makes them whole enough to love others well.

Thank you, dear sisters. You are so dear to me.

Here are a few links that will connect you to mobilized prayer here at LPM for those of you who are willing or interested:

This link will take you to our interactive prayer board on our website. It is very user friendly and an encouragement to the many people who use it.

Then, if you feel led by God to do so, you can click here to sign up to be a part of our prayer team. We are so grateful.

Sisters, in closing, I’d be so honored to pray for each one of you. I hope you’ll enter into it individually and take it personally. It is heartfelt.

My faithful, most holy Father and my God,

With tremendous love I lift my sister to you. You know what stirs in her heart, what awakens her at night, what causes her to shudder, and what seeks to devour her. You have seen her in the secret place and you know her longings and her questions and her dreams and her hopes. You know the very place that doubt seeks to swallow her and deceit desires to seed in her. Spring her eyes open to cleansing, delivering Truth. Minister to her in such a personal way throughout the coming days that she is floored once again by Your all-knowingness and complete attentiveness. Sprout signs of harvest in a field where she has sown so faithfully and seen so little. Help her to see that her labor is not in vain. Soak the fleece in such a way that she’ll know You are with her.  Send someone to encourage her in such a specific area that she’ll know You alone could have prompted it.

Grant her a heart to love You with an abounding affection that could only be supernatural and cause her to feel her heart teeming with love toward someone who is loveless toward her. Protect her heart and heal her mind where it may be bent or twisted. Take all shame off of her and cast out her self-loathing once and for all and lift her chin to see her redemption drawing near. Give her faith enough to believe that she has truly been forgiven and that You who began a good work in her will most assuredly complete it. Put a new relationship in her life that brings much joy to her in You and revives her faith-walk and makes her laugh. Healthy friendships, Lord! Help her to finally release a relationship that You have clearly brought to an end and to do so without resentment or bitterness, trusting You entirely with the future. Be radiant upon her face. Tell her forthrightly how lovely she is to You and how significant. Quiet that part of her that seeks to perform for acceptance. Give her joy in a more honest version of herself. Reveal Your gorgeous self to her, Lord Jesus. Let every false Christ in her life bow to the One and Only True so that she can see it is You. Make every competing voice hush to Yours.

In Your beautiful, saving, redeeming Name, Jesus, I bring these earnest requests.

Amen

Thank you Beth for that powerful prayer. God is amazing! You are truly using your God-given gifts to further His kingdom. I am currently in the middle of the James bible study through my church. Our women’s group just finished Daniel and Believing God before Daniel. Believing God was my first Beth Moore bible study and now I want to study all of them, they are food to my spiritual soul. I continue to be amazed by God’s presence and work in and around my life. Thank you for the life work you do and the blessing your ministry is to so many people. Prayers for you, your family, and ministry that God would continue working His plan through all of you.

Dear Beth, family and LPM friends…it is a joy and privilege to be asked to go before the LORD on your behalf…you angels who have blessed our socks off time and again. You are stickynoted on green for prayer and GOD will bless all of us there.

Being a bit gray in the hair…may I offer a suggestion for you travelers that is tried and true?

Do not board an airplane until you have put a light coating of vaseline in your nostrils. If at all possible, do not turn on the overhead air and under penalty of illness, don’t touch your face until you’ve had a chance to thoroughly wash your hands. If you don’t believe germs are recycled on a airplane, I perhaps can’t convince you that rivers have rocks and the Pope is Catholic.

Until we meet in Heaven…keep on doing GOD’s work for His blessings are rich and full in your lives!!

Thank you, Maryanne, for reminder about Vaseline in the nostrils. I had forgotten about that. May we all continue to “be about Kingdom Business” wherever we are!

Thank you for the gift you gave us in this beautiful prayer on our behalf. I am printing it out to comfort me and focus me on difficult days to come as well as to share with some of my sweet sisters in Christ. You are loved beyond measure… May God be glorified in Greensboro NC and Eugene OR….

Father, I thank you for Beth. I thank you for her Ministry you gave her. I thank you that sure truely loves you and genuinely seeks you. I thank you that she realizes how much she desperately needs you. I thank you that she knows how powerful prayer is and how we are to call upon the body for prayer covering. I just thank you God that you teach us so beautifully how to serve you on Earth. I love you Lord. I love your ways Lord. I love your truth Lord. Father, I come to you on behalf of Beth lifting her up to your gracious loving arms. Wrap her in them Lord and reassure her of your love. Reassure her of your faithfulness. Reassure her of your plan for her life. Above the noise and Chaos that this world often brings. Sharpen her ear to your still small voice. Lead her strongly Lord. Annoint her with a fresh fire and fresh boldness to bring your word. Cover her family and ministry team. As she is faithful to do your work, you are faithful to watch over her world. I know you are. There is no one more faithful than you Lord. Breathe a fresh breath into her family, friends, coworkers. In Jesus name I pray Amen!

Beth, I know only a portion of what it means to be on the front lines of ministry ushering in the presence of the Lord. I will commit to pray for you and your team knowing that the first time we pray to push back darkness, the Lord moves heaven and earth to answer. What a privilege to partner with you in this kingdom work through prayer. You are mighty in God, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper.

I was so moved by your prayer for us.. .only the Lord moving upon your life could have authored such a fitting prayer. Thank you for your profound love relationship with the Lord, and than you for loving us women like you do. For over 15 years, I’ve felt like you are my good friend. . . and yet I’ve never met you. It’s Jesus, and He’s so good!

WOW!!! Beth how timely that prayer is for me. I am touched so deeply with God’s timing of so many of the words you prayed. May our Lord Jesus do the same for you, Travis and your team as you head out to minister God’s truth and love to so many of His girls. May His Spirit surround you, enable you, fill you and prepare your way in every detail. I will keep praying. What a powerful way to begin my day; just what I needed in so many ways. Thank you so much for taking the time to offer this prayer for us. Beth you are so greatly appreciated and loved.

Will be praying for all of you and thank you again for your passion and your love for Christ.

My computer did something strange, or I typed by email address wrong, and had an error message. Anyway, I’m praying for all of you at LPM, always, and happy to do so. Now, Lindsee, I have a question for you. Are the LPL event start times for each day the same in every city or do they vary from one city to the next? I would like to pray for the event as it is in progress this weekend, but I need to know the starting time.
    Thanks,
    Patti

      Lindsee says:

Hi Patti! Yes, they always go from 7-9 Friday evening, and 8-12 on Saturday. Each have three sessions and worship times. The only issue you’d run into timing with is depending on what time zone they’re in for that weekend. Does that make sense? I hope that helps! Blessings on you!

      • Patti Hayes says:

Thanks, Lindsee. I found this website, http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/ for that very purpose and was able to know the time difference just by typing in the name of the city. So, anyone in our Siestaville community who wants to join in covering Beth and the team as well as the event and all participants in prayer as they are in progress this weekend, can determine the time difference from anywhere in the world by going to the above website. I can’t be there in body, but my heart and prayers will be there.
        Much Love,
        Patti

Beth, I just have to tell you that something is up. I am sure you know that, but I feel it in my Spirit. I have to confess I don’t often make it onto the blog, but for some reason, today I just felt the nudge to see what was going on. I am busy planning for my upcoming wedding and super happy and excited to get on a few projects today; No sadness was in my heart. I read your prayer request and I opened my mouth to pray and I immediately had tears streaming down my face (this is not normal for me!). I do not share this to concern you. Rather, I believe it is an affirmation that the body (the body of Christ, the church) needs to come together on this one and fight the good fight, knowing victory is God’s alone. There may be the warfare, but if we will come along side, we will also benefit of the fruit of the crop that He is harvesting in His ministry through you right now. Glory to His name. “Father, The Glorious Father, we come before You awed by Your master plan and the opportunity You have given us to come along side and fight one with another to maintain and obtain the land that You have placed before us. Land that the enemy currently possess, but land that You have for us. Oh Father, we come along side one another and we seek You for wisdom in the battle, that we would be sensitive and in tune to the battle plan You set before us. We cry out for victory over the enemy knowing well that victory is Yours. We will not rest until the land You have called us to has been obtained for Your great glory. You oh Lord are our portion and we want all of You. Reveal more of your glory. Strengthen the labourers. In Jesus precious name, amen.” God has heard and He is Faithful.

    Beth,

I had to smile really big at this post. Especially when you said, “And above all else for me personally, pray that I will love Jesus more than anything in this entire world.

I met you at The Cove over 5 years ago and when you were asked how we could pray for you, you said, “above all else pray that I continue to have my first love for Jesus.” I have never forgotten that and when I pray for you, that’s what I pray. I consider it a privilege to continue to pray that. Thanks for all you do!

Mel Ann Sullivan – Millry, AL But if you fulfill the royal law as expressed in this scripture “You shall love your neighbor as yourself” you are doing well. Thank you for that wonderful prayer, it was just what my heart and soul needed to hear. Struggling right now in my marriage and asking God to work a miracle. Blessed by your words of “sprout signs of harvest in a field she has sown…”

    Beloved Father God,
Our circumstances do not negate Your Word
No matter what we see, or what is heard.
You go before us and behind,
Though the enemy tries to blind.
Give us spiritual eyes to truly see
How our faith and belief pleases Thee.
Oh the grief, oh the disaster
    The enemy longs to plaster,
    To wallpaper our God-given minds
With all that is hurtful and unkind.
God’s Word is, was, & always will be true.
Sweet Holy Spirit, be our guide and our glue.
Jesus, we desire to love You more,
Please open up Your heavenly stores.
    God is victorious!
    He reigns forever! How glorious!
In the Mighty, Powerful Name Above All Names, Jesus. Amen.

Thank you. God has used your prayer to touch the wounded places in my soul and I was feeling devoured by the enemy and have felt almost helpless to stop it. Thank you for seeking the Lord and listening to his voice and then sharing your hear with the rest of us. Thank you for being a servant and sharing with so many women how to walk and grow in our Lord Jesus Christ. As a youth pastor’s wife for the past 10 years I have seen so much and I know how hard it can be to be in ministry. So I will pray for you and your ministry! God bless you as you serve Him.

Your prayer moved me to tears. We serve an awesome God who loves us so individually that a stranger’s prayer for so many would deeply touch me so personally. Oh, we’ll never know until we see Him face to face how He hears everything.

Yes. I pray for our church staff and family (BCF!) every Wednesday (and as the Spirit leads, of course) – I’m penciling in LPM right next to it in my journal. It will be a mainstay in my weekly petitions. Be encouraged by that 🙂

When my now-grown daughter was little, we sang along with a catchy children’s cd, “His hands are guiding me; behind, before and on both sides of me…and in His hands I know I’ll always be.” Wish I could remember all the words, but the point is that the word picture there is the first thing I thought of to pray for the LPL team this weekend. May y’all just FEEL His hands cupping you and protecting you from all manner of harm.

My mama-radar has been very tender toward a member of your family for the past couple of months, Beth – and I’m praying earnestly.

Cannot possibly thank you enough for the beautiful prayer for our Siesta family, even during a time when you are needing to marshal your own strength. I love how you are so passionate in your love for the Lord and for us. After a lifetime of having an incredibly emotional heart (and having it buffeted soundly,) I can’t seem to allow myself to feel too deeply for fear I might go to pieces. Your prayer gives me courage to try to “go there.”

    Blessings on this weekend!

Beth, I pray for you, Travis, the praise team, everyone at LPL and LifeWay ministries every day. I say a special pray for you,Travis, and the praise team. I was at a conference a couple years back and you said to pray for you to desire Jesus more than anything else. I have prayed that very thing for you. I do pray for your families. I also try to look and see where you are for the weekend to pray for that specific place. If not i just pray knowing God knows.
You have been such a wonderful help in my spiritual growth. It is both an honor and privilege to pray for you.

    Beth
Just today, I and my small group finished the James/Mercy Triumphs Bible Study. All evening I have been pondering how I am so much more aware of my love for the Lord when I am involved in one of your studies. We are a group of professional women (25-65 yrs)from the Mid-West. Let me say,the Holy Spirt, through you (and James) spoke to all of us on a personal level. Hearts were softened, lives were changed, never to be the same.
It is hard to say goodbye to James tonight and you until the next study. I found this blog and wanted to thank you for loving Jesus so much that it makes me want to love Him more! You make me hungry for the Lord!
I have ended each lesson with tears in my eyes, a lump in my throat and a desire to know Him more, love Him more.
    Thankyou!
And yes, we will be praying that you love Him more. You are holding up the standard for may of us Beth
That, Dear Sister, is a prayer for us all!

Father, thank you for your servant, Beth and her family. Bless each with an on-fire love for you and I ask protection from all warfare. Please shelter them from any harm or hinderances to their ministries. Nothing can separate them from your love. Your word is true and your love is everlasting; and you are true to your word and so I ask light their path. Prepare the way for Greensboro, Eugene and the voice of your prophetess. Raise up warriors. Enlighten her with your wisdom in the upcoming Lifeway series. Flood this ministry team with your Holy Spirit – may they experience you like never before and your transforming Spirit be poured-out to your people. Obstacles will come but nothing can separate us. Obstacles can teach and mold – but victory is promised – you are true. Thank you for these blessings, in Jesus’ name.

    Joy V. says:

    Beth,
Thank you for that prayer. I sit here with tears, just overwhelmed that God used you to bring His Word to me. My daughter-in-law is an unloving and unforgiving person. I try to love her but , in truth, she does not know how to love and so is often hurtful. I will pray for the team and for your family. We have all been blessed by your willingness to serve God and to turn the pain in your own life over to Him. Your time away from your family is a sacrifice for you but a blessing for all of us. My heart is just filled knowing the blessing those women in NC will find in God’s Word that you will bring to them. Thank you Jesus for the comfort and love. Thank you for Beth and Travis and the whole team. Thank you for loving us so much.

Dearest Beth, LPM team, and Worship Team – just so you know that God is actively answering your heartfelt prayer, the Lord woke me up before 4:30 this morning and I spent a good half hour praying for everything you asked for and more! Can’t wait to hear how he has answered your prayer FOR prayer!

He is doing something mighty and is calling us all to the battle lines!

    I love you,

    Gretchen

    Dear Beth,
Thank you for that beautiful, heartfelt prayer. I need it very much and appreciate it more than I can say. I am so very thankful for the Bible study teachers and leaders God has placed on earth in my lifetime. In fact, whenever I take time to record a list of all I’m thankful for in my journal, your name is there along with people like Kay Arthur and Chuck Swindoll, Jim and Shirley Dobson, Priscilla Shirer and Henry Blackaby, etc. Thank You, Lord! Where would we be without Your faithful servants?!
Father God, I pray with all earnestness that You will grant Beth Moore the desire of her heart, that she may love Jesus more than anything on this earth! Lord, I ask that You continue to equip Beth and Travis and all the LPL ministry team to spread the Good News of Jesus’ love, for as long as it pleases You. Please bless and protect every member of Beth’s family, in the mighty and precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Thank You, Lord. Amen.
