Colorado Springs LPL

*Update: (Friday Morning) LifeWay Women, Living Proof Ministries along with Beth Moore and Travis Cottrell are inviting those victims and evacuees of the Colorado fires to be our guests, free of charge, at the Living Proof Live event starting this evening through tomorrow at noon at World Arena in Colorado Springs. Please see the details below about how evacuees can gain access to the venue. It is our hope to accommodate and minister to as many of those affected by the fires as our available seating will allow. It is our privilege and blessing to serve them and our prayers are with them:

  • Evacuees without a ticket must go to Gate C for access into the arena
  • Gate C door will open for evacuees to enter at 6:00 p.m.
  • Access to available seating will be on a first come, first serve basis, but we anticipate having plenty of room.
  • We are asking evacuees with access to the internet to RSVP with us [email protected] but this is not required for entrance.
  • Kaye Hurta will be their contact person at the Gate C door
  • Only evacuees need to come to Gate C for free access – anyone with a ticket needs to enter at the main entrance with all other attendees
  • The event is general seating for individuals and small groups; large group seating is reserved.
  • Samaritan’s Purse will be on hand to provide water at the doors to evacuee attendees as supplies last.
  • NOTE: Any attendee who has paid for a ticket but who has lost their home to the fires will be refunded the cost of their ticket and they will be our guest. Refunds will be processed through our registration office next week. Other Evacuees who have already purchased their armbands may enter through the main entrance.
  • Any questions can also be sent to [email protected]

Good Thursday afternoon, ladies.

We come to you with heavy hearts regarding all the devastating fires happening in Colorado Springs this very minute. The pictures alone are chilling and sobering.

We serve a God who is into every detail of our lives, and He alone knew that there would be a Living Proof Live scheduled in Colorado Springs the very same weekend these fires would come screaming down the beautiful mountainside.

At this moment, LifeWay still has the event scheduled. If anything further develops, we will update and post that information on our website here.

Beth is flying out today, along with the rest of the team, as they have plans to minister to the people of Colorado Springs. Please pray for them. Please pray for their safety. As we ask the Lord to pour out His Spirit over the arena, we’re asking that He would pour out the rain in that city as well. They desperately need it.

We are so grateful to Samaritan’s Purse, who partners with LifeWay at each Living Proof Live event, for designating 100% of their donations at this weekend’s event to the city of Colorado Springs. They are already on ground for disaster relief, but this will be a huge blessing to them.

If you feel led to give in this area and help with disaster relief, you can do it without even attending the event. What you would need to do is text RELIEF to 85944 to automatically donate $10. You can also visit their website for volunteer opportunities or find out how to get help at www.samaritanspurse.org.

We are praying, ladies. Those of us in Texas know the devastating effects these fires can cause as we just dealt with the same thing a mere eight months ago. Join us in praying for a miracle? Miracle rain?

We love you guys.

Thank you for updating us and for working with Samaritans Purse to help the people in Colorado Springs. There are 32,000 people evacuated now, and this will be a huge blessings to all of these families. Excited to know you are still planning to come…will see you tomorrow night! Can’t wait for the event as well a the great diversion…to focus on how GOOD God has been to us in all this. It’s devastating…but we all know it could have been MUCH worse by now without the magnificent efforts of these 1,000 firefighters and all our other officials. By the way…the firefighters need new socks…imagine if every woman brought one new pair of socks to donate when she walked in…they are even collecting them already at the World Arena. I think it was meant for us to do!

This is sooo crazy!! I was just thinking last night, “I wonder if Beth has something scheduled in Colorado this summer and will be ministering to the women going through the fire devastation!?” And then I come to check out the blog and see that she’s there THIS VERY WEEKEND!! WOW GOD!!! Last year during Texas’ wild fires, we were experiencing a devastating flood to our home town. And at the simulcast last fall, she showed photos of the fire and talked about natural disaster—something very heavy on my heart, and MANY MANY others that same weekend. How she ministered and encouraged us!! And made us remember the end is drawing near and to live like! I pray she’ll be equally encouraging and more so for the people of Colorado Springs this weekend!! Now I’m curious what God prompted her heart to prepare for the lesson before any of this took place!! I bet its going to be wild!! God is still so so GOOD!!

Heading out within the hour to start my trek to CSprings. My heart is also heavy for what is happening there. I got engaged to my husband in those mountains, and then honeymooned there 8 months later. But I am greatly anticipating the event. I am taking a friend who has never seen or heard Beth before….and she is excited!

Continuing to pray for the mighty work of our God to be done in that arena and that town, this weekend!

Indeed God knew you would be coming to minister Beth, after the tragic events we have just experienced in our beautiful city.Only this morning did we know our home was spared, after finally seeing an arial view of the burned area. I evacuated with 20 minutes notice Tuesday at around 4 PM as the fire lept over the ridge and sped down the mountain across the street from me.But so many are without their homes, and many of those ladies will attend, I am certain. We lost our home church, held at the historic and iconic Flying W Ranch. Please pray for our pastor and his wife, Scotty and Cindy Vaughn. Isaiah 43:2

The ariel view of the neighborhoods in the burn area look like a nuclear weapon was detonated. Our dear friends, who thought they had lost their home, just found out minutes ago that is was spared within several hundred feet. There is a heavy, sad feeling over the area right now. This conference will be a breath of fresh air….excited for tomorrow night. Thanks for the prayers!

      Rhiannon Pulley says:

MY church is attending and we were offered a full refund if we didn’t want to go so we could leave the hotel rooms available to evacuees. Many of us are still attending but will make the hour and a half drive home tonight and head back up there early tomorrow. The area where the arena is is not in imminent danger. I think it’s great that LP is offering all evacuees to attend for free tonight. I know Beth Moore will be ministering to many of the victoms this weekend and ill give them hope that they may not have had before. God works in ways we cannot understand but he has a purpose for every thing. Beth Moore will bring life back to a devestated city.

    Sweet Lord Jesus,
Thank you Lord that you go before our dear Beth as she goes to minister in your name. Please keep her and the team safe as they go to minister to this scorched area. Dear Lord, not only is the land scorched but hearts as well. Such devastaion Lord only you can truly know the deep hurt that each heart feels. I pray dear Lord that you will plant a fresh seed of hope in every heart, not just the at the conference, but also for every person in that city. May they see your mighty hand at work Lord, and may they know in no way shape or form has their God forgotten them. I pray that your anointing would be upon Beth and you would give her the words to speak and as they fall fresh on each ear may they know they know they are hearing words straight from the heart of God. A God who loves them, a God who has not taken His eye off of them for one second. Dear Lord, reign down! Not only with your precious spirit, but in the physical as well. We pray expecting Lord. We love you!!!! In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.

I am so thankful to hear that you will be speaking in Colo Spgs this weekend. We live in Alabama now but that is my hometown and it has been beyond devastating to sit from so far away and watch the places of your childhood go up
In flames. Thankfully all of my family have been spared their homes thus far, Praise The Lord.
I trust that you will be able to bring comfort to this community in a way few others could. I am so thankful that our mighty God has seen fit to send our Siesta Mama in amidst the flames to spark a Holy Fire. I only wish I was home to be a part of it. I will be praying for my beloved home state, those effected by th fires, and the entire LPM conference.

    TraciG says:

Please keep the many families in Montana who have lost their homes to wildfires in your prayers as well. We don’t have as many people as Colorado Springs, but there is currently a fire burning south of where I live that has burned over 100,000 acres leaving a small town (Ashland) near a reservation nearly destroyed. We join you in prayer for the people of Colorado Springs. Please Lord send Miracle Rain to the whole Mountain West region!

    Texas in the Mountains says:

If ever Colorado Springs needed the healing balm of the Word, it is now! SO glad they didn’t cancel the event. Perfect time to minister to the body of Christ. So thankful for Samaritan’s Purse. If I could hug an organization, I would!

“He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm. He said to his disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?” They were terrified and asked each other, “Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!””
Even the fire must obey Him! We have people praying all over the nation for rain, and for the wind to die down. The wind is pushing the fire fast, and creating extreme danger for the firefighters.
We have seen rain come in when there was no rain in the forecast.
    KEEP PRAYING SIESTAS!!!

I would like to testify as to how the LORD decided I should go.
      1. We sold our house (after 11 months on the market) and closing was scheduled for June 29. Buyers requested to move it to the 25th!
      2. My father-in-law just passed away, the funeral was to be the 29th. Other sibling changed it to July 1st.
      3. The woman that I was going to stay with has been evacuated. She set it up for me to stay with her son & his family. They are on the east side of the city, far away from the fire. She’s staying with her other son.
Bonus! She’s coming to the event!
So, you see how the LORD decided that this girl should come off of her Mountain, to the Land where he will meet us. And we know he will SHOW US HIS GLORY!

I wasn’t going to be going to Beth Moore this time…didn’t have enough money. I asked the Lord to provide if I was supposed to be there…our local Christian station was giving away several wrist bands. Several weeks went by and then I came home one afternoon and listened to my messages…Hi this is…from KGTF calling to let Bonnie know that you have won 2 wrist band to the Living Proof Live event June 29th & 30th at the World Arena with Beth Moore. I am bringing my neighbor with me. As I am so grateful for the Lords provision I have been preparing and praying for all those attending and for special anointing over the message from the Word. I remembered how encouraging Beth was last year after the fires in Texas and I truly believe that she has a message that comes from a tender heart of compassion and faith for us!!! In preparation I have been re-writing my notes from our last Ladies study…The Inheritance…I wanted to encourage us as steadfast perservering women, holy and dearly loved by God to come clothed with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience and to bear with each other…forgiving any grievances you may have against one another. And over all these virtues put on love which binds them all together in perfect unity…Col 3:12-14. God in His goodness prepared this ahead of time for all of us in our hour of need and I for one am forever grateful for His faithfulness…and our precious sister Beth along with all those that work with her!!!

Hello dear Lindsee and dear Siestas from all over,

I was really very moved and thrilled to discover that the Living Proof Ministry event in Colorado Springs was not canceled and that Beth and the team were on their way yesterday. That’s really wonderful Beth, that you kept your commitment, in spite of the circumstances (maybe you are going to say, because of the circumstances) to encourage as many women as you can.

Even though we are currently in France, we are missionaries with HCJB Global. Our mission’s headquarters are in Colorado Springs, as well as many other missions. So we received several prayer alerts from our friends there and were – and still are – monitoring very closely what is happening with these dreadful fires. I have known for months that Beth was going to be there on that specific week-end and I even passed the word to several friends who live in Colorado Springs. We were there last year for the 80th anniversary of our mission (HCJB radio station started in Quito, Ecuador, on Christmas day 1931). I believe several of our friends will be at the World Arena to-night and to-morrow morning, as well as people from the church we attend when we go there, and of which I follow the messages on the Internet, Woodmen Valley Chapel.
This is also wonderful that you are doing partnership with Samaritan’s Purse to help people in a practical way.

May the Lord give you “out-of-this-world” meetings, peace and joy above all as you gather together!
    With love and prayers.

Father God, may you pour out your spirit upon Beth, the Living Proof Live team and all of my sisters in Christ who will attend. Father, we also ask that you pour out rain on the wildfires, and that this miracle will be awesome evidence of your power to those who don’t yet know you. Come, Holy Spirit.

I pray this in the mighty name of Jesus.

Beth, Thank you for coming to Colorado Springs this weekend. I believe we desperately could use your words and encouragement. I live in Colorado Springs as do much of my family. My parents live in the Mountain Shadows where most of the damage was done. They are staying with us as they were evacuated Saturday. Praise the Lord their house was untouched by the fires but most of their area is gone. We know there will be smoke damage and lots of clean up later. Have no idea when they will able to get back into their home.

My husband is a Colorado Springs firefighter and has been on the mountain fighting these fires for days. It has been an inferno up there and I thank all of you for the prayers for his and other firefighters’ safety. They are the ones who are going in when everyone else is running out.

I would love to attend tonight with my mom but we both feel like it would be hard to go since we might cry the whole time. Feels like 9/11 when all you want to do is stay close to home.

Thank you to all who are praying for Colorado Springs. I personally feel like you are praying for my family and it means so much.
