Living Proof Live Baltimore – Ticket Giveaway

Good morning, Siestas! Or should I say good morning, Baltimore? (Hairspray, anyone?) I’ve been singing it all week!

Anyway, our Siesta Mama is heading to Baltimore today for Living Proof Live this weekend and we were wondering if any of you are planning on attending? She’s been hard at work this week and we’ve been praying for everyone involved.

Thanks to the Siesta Scholarship Fund, we are so excited and humbled to be able to offer 20 scholarship tickets for those of you that desire to go, but just cannot afford a ticket at this time.

If this is you, we will offer them to the first 20 of you that call the Living Proof office during regular business hours (8:30 – 4:30 central time). Ask for Kimberly at 1-888-700-1999 and she will get you squared away. If you call during the lunch hour, or happen to get the voicemail at any point during the day, leave a message with your name and phone number and she’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

We know that the Lord has handpicked each of those who will be there and we can’t wait to hear how God showed up!

We love y’all!

I am excited to be going!!

Is anyone going that would like to share a hotel room – with separate beds?

I can book a room with two beds if you don’t already have one and would like to split costs, or if you already have a room and there is a fold-away couch or we could get a cot, I would be fine with that.

SO thankful God is opening doors for me to attend and then visit a sweet Siesta in Virginia!! We’ve interacted so much online but this will be our first meeting in person.
    Thank you Beth for Siestaville!!

Praying for God’s spirit to fall on us and wrap itself around us, to weave through every hole and hurt in us and revive us to new LIFE! We are both in a season of trial involving work, family, and friends. We know the Lord planned this conference perfectly as He knew where we would be in our walks at this time. Dear Beth,
My Bible Study is so excited to see you at your conference in Baltimore this weekend. We have the most amazing Bible Study and you are our absolute favorite. We love you so much. We can’t wait. I’ve wanted to share this story with you and here is my chance. One study of yours that we did was about the people in our lives. Our joys, our testys, our far aways…
Well I was asked to do the children’s time at our church on Valentine’s Day. I’ve done it often and it is when the children come to the alter and we have a special presentation to them while the congregation listens. I’ve always felt that I could minister to the congregation as much as the children. I decided to share with the children what we were studying in your study about the types of people in our lives. However when I got to the part about loving your testys, everyone heard it as testes. Oh yes, I asked them if they had testes. I told them I had testes and I loved them very much. Apparently I went on and on about loving your testes. The congregation never moved as I preached. My husband wasn’t at church that morning, but since it was Valentine’s Day, we had a special lunch together. I was sharing my children’s sermon with him when he started laughing and said back to me, “you told them to love their testes” That was when I heard it. I couldn’t eat my lunch, I couldn’t stop laughing. It all made sense too because after children’s time, I took the kids downstairs for a craft. One little boy told me while making his craft….I love my testicles. And I am thinking…. okay you weird little boy. I still didn’t know.

When I got home, my facebook was loaded from comments from our teenagers. You see I work with them too. The boys made jokes. The girls were like I am so sorry Miss Christy, don’t be embarrassed. Apparently our minister had turned around to look at all of them and it took everything for them not to laugh, including the minister. Needless to say, I haven’t preached children’s time since. I haven’t volunteered and no one has asked.

Anyway, I had to share because I thought you would appreciate it. I want you to know I have attended church all my life, but your Bible Studies have taught me more and allowed me to understand and have a personal relationship with God. I thank you very much. Your are beautiful, we all love to watch you and can’t wait to see you. We wanted to have Beloved shirts made up and wear, unfortunately it didn’t happen. We’ll be the group smiling from ear to ear. Can’t wait until Friday. X0 – Christy Erwin
