This was taped in Houston by some wonderful visionaries at Second Baptist Church. To us here in the city, many familiar faces light up the screen. You don’t have to know them to wish you were one of them, though! One of these days, we Siestas will all gather out on a big field and dance our feet off over the grace and glory of Jesus Christ. He is risen!

I LOVE this! God’s beautiful children (every age, race, and size) celebrating the risen Savior! Indeed, I did wish I was right there in the middle of them dancing my own shoes off! God bless you all, and Beth, thank you for sharing this.
Just wanted to say that my 10 year old son watched this with me and said, “I want to move to that church!” Loved it!
Wow..absolutely amazing and wonderful and it brought tears to my eyes to see so many faithful celebrating the Resurrection and having so much fun! You never see anything like that up here in the northern reaches of the States – it’s why I find it so beautiful to see 🙂

http://uptofaith.com/ if anyone wants to start a group for next Easter Sunday I’m sure they will do another one. Siesta’s when you open the site watch the trailer at the bottom of the home page, then it’s fun to see groups dancing all over the world Up to Faith. I have heard recently, and it makes perfect sense, God created music for praise and He will use music (and dance) to furthur His Kindgom. This website/group is a way we can all participate I did not find it soon enough this year maybe some Siesta’s can get together and post Beth a video or two next Easter. 🙂 and the LPM have their own group too, this gives dance tutorials, music everything we need.

WOW! I have waited all my life to see a bunch of set-free Baptists dancing! Glory! Glory to God in the highest…it is good to be free from the bonds of sin and death and express it with “In Him I live and move and have my being and I can dance to glorify HIM!”

I was just able to view this & I love it! My next thought though was why can’t/ doesn’t this happen more. Not necessarily a choreagraphed piece, but just out right, letting yourself go and giving the Lord the praise and worship he is do. I know we all have unique presonalities, but worshipping in church yesterday when even welcomed and encouraged to let it out, I no better than anyone else held back. And for what, but approval or rather not recieving the disapproval or strange looks of others. When will we break free of this kind of thinking? And simply dance! 🙂

What a celebration we had yesterday! Sunrise Service at 6:30 in the morning! Worshiping our risen Savior. What gratitude, chills, thankfulness, I felt standing thinking of what He did for ME! Thank you Jesus for your love for me. I didn’t deserve it but you still died for me.

That would be the most fun ever!! Can you imagine what it would look like!! All of us dancing with abandon as we praise dance and sing for what He has done for us!! My children and I do this in our home and in the car. People probably think we are crazy but…we are HAPPY crazy people!!

What would Jesus think? Reminds me of the Zumba class at my daughters fine arts school. I saw the group on You Tube that sang Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus in the mall. Now that really took my breath away!!
