FULL BLOWN BODY CHILLS….and I didn’t even go! I am hoping and praying that the opportunity presents itself for me to attend one of these. The Holy Spirit’s presence was seen and I even felt it through that slideshow! AMEN!

    Ohhhh, I LOVE THIS!

My 3 girlfriends and I met Michelle & David in the LONG Starbucks line on Saturday morning and got to chat for some time…what fun! So blessed to have a couple pictures of the four of us in this slideshow to document our weekend. Pictures are my love language, and I didn’t take a single one over the weekend…so this is a great blessing to me. Thank you, David.

And thank you, Beth for a GOOD WORD. Still processing and the Lord is still giving revelation…Praise His Name!

Getting to go to the Tacoma LPL event and seeing pictures of my friends and I in the slideshow, I am feeling a little spoiled by the Lord. But spoiled implies the Lord has done something that isn’t beautiful and that’s just plain wrong. So, I will instead say that the Tacoma LPL event blessed me beyond words and thank You, Jesus. Increase our capacity to receive Your love, Lord, that our hearts would be filled and your glory would overflow.

thanks for sharing. my girlfriends and i had such a great time in Tacoma. this was my third LPL and i have to say that you guys stepped it up a notch in the ‘bursting forth’ part of “in Christ alone”. my spirit sensed such power-it felt as though the roof of the dome was going to be blasted off. seriously. and “…he loves us…” oh boy.we are still have goosebumps from that one too.

loved your slightly risky-will-likely-be-taken-out-of context-stop story…it reminded me of a time a long time ago when i was a teenager and i was not talking or listening to God in particular and one day he just told me to STOP something i was doing. it was so clearly him and that all he said and it got my full attention and i wrote myself a sticky note with the word stop and stuck it on my desk and never did the thing again.

thanks for coming to the NW. love you sister.

PS i am a little mad the holy spirit did not inform us to eat at Masa’s…:( perhaps its because i did not stop for the question.

    Jennifer Tricarico says:

David has done a great job! My heart is lifted just watching this. I was praying for you all – it’s dazzling to see all those lovely faces lifted to our Lord and in His Word. Mighty throng indeed!
mommabeth – you tweeted about AB’s obsession with your scrubbing brushes just before tacoma… I held back on sharing that my 2nd (he is now 6) used to grab our long-handled ladle and make it a ‘highway light’ from the age of about 2. He has also remained obsessed with traffic lights from the same age. they’re all over his room. Seeing that huge traffic light slide behind you in Tacoma just made me smile!
Blessings to all as you continue in diligence to point hurting souls to Jesus through the WORD.

Since I’m on my laptop (thank you for it, dear Lord) I can’t access the video right now. Road trip πŸ™‚ And I didn’t want to overload the scripture memory entries, but Beth’s comment about Tennesseans simply cannot go unanswered. Hmmph!

I’m afraid I must uphold the cause of Mexican food fans across the great state of Tennessee. Even though my toddler taste buds cause me to cough, sputter and otherwise weep openly at the slightest sampling of the local salsa, my chillins’ learned to love chips ‘n salsa shortly after teething on tortilla chips. Yes, the local Casa Vieja (our fav) is on speed dial in several phones around our casa.

Now, I imagine that taste discrimination is a subjective subject, but be careful who you go throwing burritos at. Remember who volunteered at the Alamo? πŸ™‚
Love all you dears a LPM; whether you like Mexican or not. You probably wouldn’t get hired with that on your resume, would you?

    April says:

Hi, I know that I am supposed to comment on the blog, but I seriously need some sisters who are committed to prayer to pray with me. I am in a hurricane season of many trials it has lasted longer than normal. I know Our God has good in all of this for me. That my character and person be molded into the image of beautiful Jesus. It’s been really long, I’m tired but God continues to give me hope. My Hope today is that He will give the Doctor wisdom to do what needs to be done. I am a 35 year old single mom, who is facing a hysterectomy. My hormones are extremely imbalanced and are actually affecting my ability to eat. All I seem to tolerate is yogurt smoothies which I have lived off of for 3 months while the doc’s have run every test under the sun. Then tell me nothings wrong… except 3 fibroids… Please understand that I know my healing comes from God alone and I have asked Him to heal me all by Himself many times. I love Him and thank Him for all he has produced through the many trials and all He has shown me that has come out in the sifter so to speak, all that still needs to be refined. Please pray for me. For Gods will to be done. If I am to be left to sift longer that He sustain me. Thank you so much for your prayers.

Father, we come to you in the name of Jesus. Thank you that we don’t have to ask permission, or stand in line or wait our turn to talk to You. It is always our turn and we are so grateful to be able to come to You on behalf of our dear Siesta April.

Father comfort April and let her know Your presence as she has never known before. You are always with us. We know that, but sometimes when we feel like life is drowning us and we are choking and spitting out the storms of life, it can be pretty hard to see You much lest rest and hope in You. You know how scared, tired and frustrated we get. You know that we all need you and especially dear April right at this very moment.

We can easily see the storms and the waves. We are often just plain blind to You being there. It is not that we don’t want to see you, but sometimes our blindness just won’t let us see. Let April see You. Reveal Yourself to her. Comfort her. Sustain her. Do for April what only You can do.

I too had this surgery at a fairly young age. I felt so good after that I wanted to give it to all my girlfriends! I didn’t know how sick I was until I was well. I will pray for God’s will for you and for you to know without a shadow of doubt what you need to do.

    • 19.6
      Yanna says:

April thank you for asking for us to pray, it always humbles me and fills me with love to go to the Father in behalf of a Siesta. Father, please cover April with Your feathers and under Your wings give her shelter as she faces the physical trials in her journey. I know Lord Your faithfulness will go before her as a shield and rampart as satans darts of worries, fears, sadness, try to hit April. Hear our prayers Lord and be with April, her family, and the doctors as they care for her. Thank You Father You are Who You are and that You will sustain her. In Jesus Name, Amen (Psalm 91:4)

Beth we had such a good time … you are a great Host!

Our group of ladies are planning to have a get together at my place to discuss what God had instore for us, what Word we received and to maybe share what each of us asking Jesus to do for us.

Watching the video/slideshow brought such joy again, knowing how quick the time flies and how too soon it ended. One of our ladies is in the slideshow, proving we were indeed there! Joy for us πŸ™‚

Beth we love you! Hope you are able to rest before your next date!

I live in So Cal so I wasn’t able to go to Tacoma. But watching the video somehow made me feel connected to my siestas in Christ. My heart was touched to see so many of you. I am hoping that one of these days, before Jesus comes back, that I will have a chance to meet Beth and the many siestas in a live event.

    Thank you for sharing~

    April says:

I have missed seeing the video recaps! I just love them. Question for anyone who might be able to answer. Have you ever attended LPL event alone? There is one this summer near me, but the couple of friends I would normally go with are on vacation. Considering a weekend alone. So far my husband is pretty ok with it. Just wondered if the experience was any better or just different.

Thanks in advance to anyone who might be able to answer!

      Delora, Granite City, IL says:

Go. You are not alone. You will be there for the same reasons thousands will be there. You are all sisters in Christ. I have gone both ways, alone and with others and sometimes others can be a distraction. Go worship our God and know you are with your family, even though you may not know them. You will be spending eternity with them so meet just a few. You never know how God will use it. Have a great time. I traveled 6 hours to do that. Am hoping to be able to do it again. Which one are you planning on attending?

      • April says:

Delora, thank you for the reply! The event is the Columbus, OH one in August. My drive would only be a couple of hours, no where near the the six you drove; very impressive. I agree with what you mentioned that there may be something God has for me in attending alone. I’m getting really excited about the thought it now.

Thanks so much. Have a great evening.

      HarborMom says:

Go for it! I met someone in the will call line who came to the Tacoma event from afar, all by herself. She joined my group for the weekend and the Lord touched her heart in wonderful ways during the drive and event. Perhaps God just wants to spend a little quality time with you all to Himself. I love that He desires it.

      • April says:

Thank you HarborMom! I think that is so great that you pulled someone into your group that came alone. How sweet is that? It’s funny you would mention the drive. I thought that would be such a blessing to have praise and worship all the way down before the conference.

Thanks again for your reply. I’m going to look into the reservations this weekend. Have a great evening!

      Kristin A. says:

I attended the Tacoma LPL event alone. I was blessed beyond measure! Do not miss out on an opportunity to go because you’d be going alone. This is the first event I’ve ever attended and the bonuses of going alone that I saw are one: one, finding a “good” seat is much easier when you’re by yourself because you can squeeze yourself in anywhere! Two, no distraction on your travel to and from – you can focus on the Lord and what He is saying to you. And three, no distraction during break. I was able to cry, pray, and journal during the break without anyone wanting me to go to the bathroom with them, chit chat with them, etc. GO!!! YOU WILL BE BLESSED!!! If you end up going, and I pray you do, know that I will be praying for you. From now one when I am praying for LPL, I will be praying a special prayer for all siestas going alone.

      Hugs,
      Kristin

      • Tracey says:

april, i ditto what the others have said – go.
kristin, i love that prayer plan & i’ll join you in that prayer. πŸ™‚

      • April says:

Kristin, That is beyond sweet! Thank you for your prayers. You’ve inspired me to pray as well. Everything you mentioned really pushes me further into going it alone if that’s what it takes to get there. Especially the idea of getting the seat I want!

Blessings to you this day. Have a good one!

      Gail says:

You should go! I love to see our boundaries stretched! You will be blessed! I went alone once, and the only thing that I had mixed feelings about was that I had no one to talk to about it on the way home – but that wasn’t such a bad thing, because God and I had some great One on one time!

    • 26.5

I always travel alone to the LPL’s:) But I’m never alone once I get there:) What happens is you will meet siestas who live close to you, or somewhat in the same region(I am a southern siesta!) and you will connect with them.
Where do you live, I am sure there is a siesta that lives close to you:) I promise girl, you will be meeting up with the most awesome ladies on the planet:)

      WendyB says:

Go! I went to the LPL for ministers’ wives in Nashville this month two years ago. I had to fly and take cabs, etc to do it – the cabs part was nerve-wracking because I’d never been to Nashville and it was a good bit of back-and-forth from the church to the hotel nearby – but God blessed every moment – I was even able to get the same driver for each trip and back and forth to the airport, and ended up sharing Christ with her and gifting her with one of the lovely books given to us at the conference! God doesn’t waste a minute, does He?
You’ll love it – I instantly made lots of friends at the event; loved having a hotel room to myself; even treated myself to a dinner in the hotel restaurant; best of all, you can really focus on worship and not worry about anyone else.

PS – so wonderful, Beth, that you got to see The Mountain! My eyes were drawn to it daily… We were stationed right there at Ft. Lewis up till this past summer when we were sent to Germany, and I was so bummed to miss this event – had prayed for you to come there every time we drove past the Tacoma Dome!

    • 26.7
      Yanna says:

Oh my goodness April! Go alone! You will leave with a “dome” full of new friends that are truly Siesta’s! I have the best time ever meeting new Siesta’s I wish I could take them all home with me! I would almost, forgive me Siesta’s, prefer to sit amongst Siesta’s I don’t know already so I can adopt me a few more Siesta’s! If you’re a bit shy here are two questions: Are you from this area? Is this your first even!…there ya go…Does this answer your question? You can email me at [email protected] and I would be happy to share more reasons to go to any event that is a gathering of the family of God you will leave with more than enough new relatives. πŸ™‚

      • April says:

Thank you sisters (Tracey, Gail, Little Steps of Faith, Wendy B, and Yanna) for all of your replies! It’s funny, you think you’re the only one who might possibly be attending alone. It turns out that so many of you have gone alone and have been very blessed. I’m excited and encouraged. I love the idea of having my “boundaries stretched” as Gail put it.

Your replies have blessed me (and I’m sure many others) more than you can possibly imagine.

        Much love to you all!!!

My goodness, I think I will listen again. Thank you for sharing this recap and the music- it has not been one of my most encouraging days, actually a rough season- at this stage in life, I want to be an “encourager” not one who shares the ongoing struggles trying to find some sort of reason and positive “spin” as to life’s struggles- this video and music took me out of that discouraging mode- thanks so much dear Sister in Christ, I appreciate so much the ministry of LPM- you are truly ministers of our Lord’s love.

Oh how I love watching each and every recap! Tonight I watched it with my sweet Grace who absolutely loves Travis’ version of Victory In Jesus. As we watched it she asked me how old you are Beth. I told her I thought you were about 51 (wasn’t exactly sure, but knew you’d crossed over 50).

Her response…”No way, she looks much younger than you, Mom.”

    I’m 41. LOL

You are indeed a beautiful lady inside and out!

    Lacey says:

While I was watching the slideshow I though how cool it would be if I made it in there and I did:). I remember that moment of worship in the picture and how good it felt to let go and just praise God.

This was my first LPL event ever and I was extremely blessed. I have done so many of Beth’s bible studies and was so blessed recently by So long insecurity which came to me at the perfect timing (thats a whole other testimony). Back in 2004 was my first experience with a Beth Moore study, and as I watched the dvd I saw what Beth had, her excitement for the Word and her love for Jesus. I had never seen anything like it in my entire life growing up in the church. I remember thinking I don’t have that but I want what she has. I prayed for it and although it took some years and me having to fall flat on my back to surrender fully, I am happy to say I have it now and I am not letting go.

Thank you Beth for your love for Jesus and for your obedience to Him. You shine so brightly that I couldn’t help but want it for myself. I was so excited to go to this event cause I felt like I was getting to finally see an old friend for the first time(if that makes sense). I definitely “Tacoma Word”. As always the Holy Spirit spoke to me thru the msg and thru the worship. So much more I could say, I was so blessed this weekend. Blessings to all on the LPL team, I’ll be praying for the events and all involved for the rest of the year.
    Thank you!

I am sooo stoked you are coming to Fresno! My FCOE (Fresno County Office of Education) Siestas and I meet twice a week at lunch for Bible Study. In the last year we have studied Esther, Daniel and Jesus the One and Only. Six to fourteen of us meet on Tuesday for the video and Thursday for discussion and going through the workbook (although lately it seems to take us two weeks to discuss it as God is doing amazing things through our group!). John is next on our agenda. We are sooo lucky to have a supportive superintendent. Many of us will be joining you at the Save Mart Center. We’re even having our second yard sale this weekend to help pay our way. See you April 1st and 2nd (the 2nd is my 58th birthday!).

    Kels says:

Wow! I see in these pictures something that I have longed for for a very long time. It is with tears of longing flowing down my face that I am watching it over and over and over again. Wanting it to be me basking in the awesome gracious loving glorious presence of Jesus with all those beautiful ladies. I want it to be me wrapped in someones tender embrace as they speak into the depth of my spirit exactly what my fragmented heart, mind and body needs to receive.
I have tried really hard to stay positive. In fact, I have come to the point of lying to someone to make it seem like I am doing ok. Well, it’s time for the truth. That truth is, I am not ok. I know I haven’t really put a whole lot into my relationship with the Lord over the past few years, therefore, I don’t expect much in return. I know that I need Him. I WANT Him. I am so far gone right now that I don’t know where to begin. My feet are made of concrete boots and I am weary worn not capable of going on anymore. Not without help. I am lost in the grip of unexpressed grief. There is a faint memory of a time when I knew what it was like to be on fire for Him. My kids would sing, “When Mama prays!” We would laugh. Now?
