LPL Spokane, Washington Ticket Giveaway!

Good morning, delightful Siestas! We are revving up around here for our trip to the Great Northwest! We are so excited to see who God is going to gather and hear what He wants to say. Please, please, please pray for me to hear His voice speak through Scripture in preparation. I’m really jazzed about what I think I’m getting from Him so far but I’m also at that crisis point where it needs to all come together. Some information now has to get culled and what’s left has to take the form of an outline and fall into three messages with comprehensive points. That’s a Jesus job.

You will never waste a prayer on me or on Travis and the team or on the LifeWay event staff. We’re never more aware of our poverty of spirit that when we’re in that 24 hour countdown. We practically never have that “up to it” feeling.

Are any of you heading that direction for our Living Proof Live tomorrow and Saturday? I just found out from Michelle that we already have a whopping 5000+ ticketed for this God-event so far. My jaw is down on the floor. I’m hoping to see some of our wonderful Siestas there because I remember so well when we did the blog survey several years ago and were ecstatic to discover many of you from Washington State. We were so shocked we even did a shout out. Too expensive to come? Could any of you attend if you just had a comp ticket?? Yahoo, Siesta Scholarship Fund! That’s what it’s for! Call Living Proof Ministries at 1-888-700-1999 during work hours today or tomorrow and talk to either Kimberly or Susan. Remember, our time zone is two hours later than yours. We’ll fix up the first 15 or so of you who call.

You are all dear to me!

    Karen Allen says:

    Dear Beth,
A fellow Texas girl, a lover of God’s Word, a calling for writing and public speaking, I would say we have a bit in common. You are such an inspiration to me and I want to thank you for yielding to your calling so completely, thus allowing God to touch so many through you. From a first grader who would not get up and sharpen her pencil for fear of being noticed to a now 45-year-old who has stood before several ladies’ groups sharing God’s Word, He is growing me everyday. As I work on my first real manuscript, my prayer is that I will yield daily to His guidance, that the words on the page be real, but mostly that others will see His glory magnified. Who knows, perhaps our paths will touch as we journey the streets of the world on our way home. May His richest blessings be on you in every season.

    Because of His Love,
    Karen Allen

    Dear Beth,
I watched 2 segments of you and Keith on James and Betty Robinson’s show online this morning. What a delight to see and hear Keith!! I feel like I know you and so today I felt like I met your better half. What a wonderful man he is and so full of wisdom and insight. You two are just the cutest couple. You can tell how important you both are to each other….that you are his #1 treasure and visa versa. I’ve been married 20 years to a rare gem myself. We have much to be thankful for. Just wanted you to know how fun it was to “meet Keith” .

    Love,

I hope all goes well this weekend. I can’t help but respond to this, because while you’re all together in Spokane, there will be another event happening in Washington State… the funeral of a 23 year old wife and missionary to Mexico. She died suddenly while with a group praying for God’s work in Mexico.. doctors believe it was Pulmonary Thrombosis (she had 2 heart attacks within 90 minutes)… she leaves behind a grieving young husband, along with her Washington family and many friends. Please pray for this young widower… God is His comfort.

    • 13.1
      Bethany says:

      Lord Jesus,
We ask your comfort for this young man as he is grieving the death of his young wife. We don’t understand your purposes or will. Especially when it involves the death of loved ones. I pray Lord that you would pour out your comfort on this sweet sister’s family and friends as they deal with adjusting to life without her here. Give them peace Jesus. Give rest to their bodies and minds. I ask Lord that you would protect them from the attack of satan. And fill them with hope; the hope that one can only have when he/she puts his/her full trust in you.
      Amen

      Patti says:

      Janna,
Thanks for posting this. I’ve already been praying for this young widower and will be in prayer tomorrow. During such a time as this I am especially thankful that the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness because I could not come up with the words to form a prayer for this one, but the Spirit Himself intercedes with groans that words cannot express. The Holy Spirit knows the will of God and interedes for all the saints in accordance with God’s will. (See Romans 8:26-27) Would you mind leaving the time of the service in a reply to this comment?
      Prayerfully,
      Patti Hayes

Hi Miss Beth! I’ll be there; there’s a group of about 20 (I think!) from our church here in Missoula, MT coming. We’re so excited! We’ve just finished having our own women’s conference last weekend with Shaun Groves, and it was a BLAST! This is his recap of it: www.http://shaungroves.com/2010/10/full-2.
I’ll be praying for you and thanks for what you do!

  19. 19

Don’t need a ticket, but as a Whitworth grad (love Spokane!) just had to pop in and say if you get a chance to eat at Lindemann’s on the south hill you’ll be glad. Ditto for Clinkerdaggers on the river.

    Have a super duper weekend!

Hey Beth!:) Praying for you, how’s James going? Please come to Chicago (or the surrounding areas) again soon. May God bring the cloudy pillar of His glory and presence wherever you go. I’m thinking about you and the rest of the team. I’m 14 and love your Bible studies. You’re real in your thoughts and feelings and don’t only wet the appetite, but dig in deep, something not always easy to find. Keep writing:)

Thank you Beth for blessing and beyond today. We are “Stepping Up” with you we just watched the video were we as daughters of the king are to do this whole ministry thing shoulder to shoulder…so from one sister to another…consider yourself prayed over!!! We are right down the road from Spokane here in Yakima, WA! I feel like its the least I could do to pray over you, your team and all the women you will serve this weekend. So consider prayers lifted…and cotinually lifted these next few days! I love you personally!

    On Purpose,
    Nichole

Praise the Lord….after going into labor at 29 weeks and being put on bed rest, I am now almost 36 weeks. I am off bed rest and get to go to the conference tomorrow in Spokane. I kept telling my nurses and doctor….I am just praying that I will make it to Beth Moore. God is good! I will probably go into labor during praise and worship….good thing the hospital is 5 minutes away ๐Ÿ™‚

We are “jazzed” for you and Travis to get here!! You have more prayers than you know for this event! We are so blessed to have you this weekend. Pack warm clothes as our high will only be 52. May God fill you with His Holy Spirit as you prepare for the weekend. Whatever you bring it will be a feast of blessings. We are hungry and in need of the WORD! May Travis and the worship team be filled with Him as well as all of those who work to make the event happen and those who volunteer. May God’s presence be felt and fill the arena and may lives be changed! Hallelujah and Amen and we’ll see you oh so soon!!!!

    Becky says:

    Beth,

I will be praying for you as you prepare. I have spoken at a couple of retreats, and putting together the sessions in some kind of format that made any kind of sense at all, was very difficult. And there were less than 100 women in attendance! I don’t know how you consistently prepare to face thousands of women so many times per year! I guess that is why no prayer for you is ever wasted ๐Ÿ™‚

As weird as this is, I often have dreams in which I am watching and listening to you speak and I am trying to help you–not by speaking, but by “willing” my energy to you. So, I suppose I’m praying for you in my sleep as well!

I am sure that God will move in amazing ways this weekend!

    marylee says:

    Dearest Beth,
As I read your blog today it reminded me of a familiar story told by Corrie Ten Boom:
When I was a little girl, I went to my father and said Daddy, I am afraid that I will never be strong enough to be a martyr for Jesus Christ. Tell me, said Father – when you take the train to Amsterdam when do I give you the money for the ticket? Three weeks before? No,Daddy, you give me the money for the ticket just before we get on the train. That is right, my father said, and so it is with God’s strength. Our Father in Heaven knows when you will need the strength to be a martyr for Jesus Christ. He will supply all you need just in time.

Sending prayers for His strengh to fill you & Travis and the whole team. How lovely are the feet of them who bring good news…You are so dear to me. Love, Marylee

I’m going to Spokane! With nine other gals! Some of us know each other and some don’t so I’m excited to see how the Lord will use the 5 hr car ride to encourage us along with the worship and message. Several of us are in hard spots where we desperately need refreshing and a fresh word from the Lord. Praying for you, Beth and wonderful wonderful team!

    Heather Smith says:

My goodness I have been praying for you for MONTHS as you prepare for Spokane!!! Frankly you could read the phone book and I would probably be mesmerized and you could just make the point that Jesus knows us all by name! LOL)
But seriously I am trusting that Jesus will take all of your study and prayer and by the sweet Holy Spirit (who DOES know what each of us needs) will make it into three awesome, heart-changing charges to us.

God bless you with good rest tonight, safe travels, and ministry grace through the event. We love you and you don’t need to impress us. Jesus will and He is who we are coming to meet. You just get to be the blessed vessel. I can’t wait!!

Praying for you girl! Love ya and see you tomorrow! :o)

I’m praying for your weekend in Spokane and wishing I was there!

I will be there! I’m so excited! You’re almost never less than several hundred miles from me here in little old Moscow, Idaho! Only one other time, so as soon as I found out you were coming to Spokane again, I told my husband I’d hitchhike if I had to, but I was going! I think he was afraid I’d actually do it, so he bought me a ticket (without telling me) and made arrangements to do some stuff for his job the same weekend, so that he can drive me up and drop me off! He he!

Prayers are being lifted up for you Beth and team from Newton Tony, England! A small group has been “Breaking free” this term and we couldn’t be more thrilled as we are allowing God to pour into our hearts full redemption and lots of lots of love. His Presence is a promise and He will not disappoint you nor those 5000+ ladies and gentlemen that come seeking His face. Thank you for being so real and admitting we don’t always feel ‘up to it’ but praise God “We can do ALL things through Christ!”. You are dearly loved!

    MK says:

    Beth,
Praying and attending. Unfortunately by myself (well, that is driving by myself – once I am there, there will be lots of sisters and siestas for me to meet – :)) I was going with another but she had to change her ticket for when you come to our area in March. I am attending that one with my 12 year old who has patiently waited for it to be her turn to get to come see you(her two older sisters have gotten to go already last time you came to Spokane and one to the siesta scripture in Houston, which was what she wanted for her graduation gift). It’s what my 12 yr old wanted for her birthday present. After listening to one of your teaching CD’s in the car – she said you “were a hoot!” I agree. :~)
    Praying for you,
