Thank You Lord! I read about this story for the first time in your last post about them. I was brought to tears by their story. I remember touching their story on the screen of my computer, just wanting so badly to reach out to them. I tearfully prayed for their safety and freedom and I’m not the crying type lol. Their faith and love for Jesus moved me and has taught me much. The sacrafices they have made certainly put things in perspective, and make me realize just how “easy ” it is to serve Jesus here in the USA. If in their shoes, could I possibly have thier courage? Would I have their faith in times of trouble? Could I have their endurance? I doubt not….I’m almost afraid to ask God to change that in me. Yeah…you know why.
I pray these two beautiful women get to experience the completeness James 1:2-4 speaks of. They truly inspire me to just be more of everything for Jesus.

That’s truly wonderful Amanda. thank you for posting that.

Here are two women half a world away who will never know how many women cried for them and prayed for them. Lets not stop praying for them… coming back to their children and families… are they married? Life needs to start again for them and I still feel compelled to pray for them…

    I’m reminded of Psalm 40:2-3.
He lifted me out of the slimy pit,
    out of the mud and mire;
he set my feet on a rock
and gave me a firm place to stand.

3 He put a new song in my mouth,
a hymn of praise to our God.
    Many will see and fear
and put their trust in the LORD.

That’s what I’m praying for Miryam and Marzieh.

Praise be to God! I know God is good, even if in His sovereignty he would have ordained that Maryam and Marzieh would spend the rest of their days in prison – but it is so amazing and wonderful and sweet to taste His kindness, mercy, compassion, and strength in their release. Thank you, merciful Father. Nurse them back to health quickly, and splash your truth and glory around the globe through what you have done and will do in and through those precious lives.

“Praise to the Lord! O let all that is in me adore Him! All that hath life and breath, come now with praises before Him. Let the Amen sound from His people again: Gladly for aye we adore Him.”

i was so happy to hear this news! praise the Lord for showing His faithfulness and for hearing our prayers!

i know this isn’t the best post to request prayer, but i’m desperate and coveting the prayers of fellow sisters in Christ for my friend robert. he has been battling an extremely aggressive testicular cancer for the past 14 months. they have exhausted treatment options and even had him taking medicine for breast cancer as a last ditch effort. in his last CT scan, the doctors found new tumors in several places of his body. they have told him that they will do radiation on the tumors just to make him comfortable, but there isn’t hope for overcoming this cancer. they can’t give him an estimate for how long he will live because the cancer has proved so aggressive, which means his time here could be very short. his only hope is a miracle.
robert is 28 and has a wife and three young kids, ages 5, almost 3, and 8 months. they are breaking the news to the two oldest kids in the next few days. they still believe that miraculous healing is possible, and over the last 14 months have received numerous encouragements and promises from the Lord about healing; however, the physical reality keeps turning downhill. the time for a miracle, if the Lord chooses to heal him, is now, which is why i’m begging my fellow siestas to join me in prayer for robert’s healing. with God all things are possible, and i truly believe that God can turn this around and make robert an incredible testimony of His power. please stand with me in prayer, that God would show His faithfulness and healing to robert, and that He would restore him to his family.

he posts updates about what is going on here on his blog: http://robertfuel.com/fight/ if you want to read about his current status in more detail. thank you, my dear friends.

Beth – My niece, Anna Pate, met you today in the airport. Anna and her group are on their way to China to do mission work. Our ladies in our small town have been working on your Bible Studies the last 12 years. For the past two years we have passed our Bible Study material to Anna and her friends. Needless to say, I was a very proud Auntie today when Anna called to tell me she met you and how gracious you were. She said Aunt Jean, she is just like the DVD’s so bubbly and kind. I know you are not perfect Beth, but thank you for serving a perfect Savior and sharing him with our generation and the next generation.

(Sorry if this comment comes through more than once- I”m having overseas internet problems and I can’t tell if it sent or not…)

Praise the Lord!! I was with a group of believers recently praying through Ephesians 2 for the nations and this really reminded me of that. We live in a place that is considered, well, somewhat hostile by so much of the world, and my heart just cries out for women like this who are all over this part of the world to be “fellow citizens” worshiping with us before the throne of the King. The unity of the body of Christ- all different colors and all different nationalities- is such a beautiful picture to me, and living where we do, I am reminded daily what a huge miracle and beautiful picture this will be, and how it is truly something that ONLY GOD in his infinite power can accomplish. I mean we’ve lived here for 6 years and so often we still see the picture around us as “strange” and “alien”. How my heart cries out for them to be part of our eternal family!!

Ephesians 2:19-22 “So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God’s household, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the corner stone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, is growing into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit.”
