Hi ladies! This week has been quite a ride! We are so excited about our summer study and we love how excited you are, too. It’s been really fun seeing all of your pictures. I squealed when the group pics started rolling in late Tuesday night.
I have a few new details about our summer Bible study:
A) Jennifer Rothschild, the author of Me Myself & Lies, has a blog!
B) Jennifer wrote a song based on Psalm 19 called “Let the Words.” Her hope was that women would connect with the song and use it to reinforce the idea of words (like the ones we say to ourselves) being “acceptable to you, Oh Lord.” A free MP3 download of the song and a music video are available here.
C) LifeWay has provided a free download of the first week of homework for anyone who doesn’t have their book just yet. You can get it here.
I’ve done my MM&L study the last two mornings and it is already impacting me so much. I don’t know about you, but I really need this. Mom and I had lunch at a cute little tea room today and we had our own discussion about our thought closets. That was nice because I had to miss my group’s first meeting. (Jackson was sick, but he’s all better now.)
By the way, Mom and I looked like lunatics at the restaurant because we took pictures the whole time. How could we not document and therefore blog about Annabeth’s first lunch at a tea room? When Mom grabbed a tiny tea cup off a shelf and positioned it in Annabeth’s hand for a photo op, I thought we were going to get kicked out. Thankfully we didn’t. If I’d had to miss out on coconut cake because of her misbehavior, it would not have been pretty.
Here are some pictures from Annabeth’s first tea room experience – the first of many.
Annabeth with the cup that my mom was apparently willing to purchase today. It was a very risky two seconds.
Praise the Lord.
Annabeth realizing we were going to have to take Bibby back to work.
Melissa, we will go again when you’re here!
Amanda,
You are raising that child right!

Beautiful pictures. I just love how that baby girl is so happy!
I love this bible study. I have to say that the homework is some of the hardest that I've done…but that's not a bad thing. Some of the stuff in my closet isn't easy to look at (so why one earth do I keep putting it on day after day?)
blessings…
Oh, that smile of Annabeths! It is most captivating…
I got through the first week and boy do I have some work to do! I didn't realize I had THAT much work to do on my closet. She really made me think, hard. Whew! Looking forward to the transforming of my mind in the coming weeks though.
BTW, beautiful pics and I'm a little jealous. Looks like so much fun!

I am loving the MM&L study! Already discovering some uglies in my thought closet! It's going to be good to clean it out! ๐
I love the tea houses!! And the pictures and the name Bibby!! Who came up with that most adorable name, what it Jackson?
Thanks for the wonderful pictures and great stories. Wish we were there for the fun and the cake, not to mention cute little Annabeth.
Amanda, my favorite was your last line to Melissa! I have a sister who lives out of town away from my Mom and me, and it is hard for her. You are so kind to add that sweet comment. As we say, "Keep sister out of the back seat!" That little Annabeth is darling.
Her little grin just tickles me to pieces!!!
Here I go getting all weepy over you gals enjoying mother-daughter time at a tea room…if there's one thing my mama instilled in me, it's to have a great affinity for scones and devonshire cream alongside some fabulous tea with sugar cubes. So glad Annabeth took to it like a true lady! ๐ ๐ ๐
Oh the joys of having a Girl hee hee we will never have tea dates or pretty little dresses with bows but praise the Lord I have two amazing boys that love time with mommy no matter what the occassion. Anway enjoy your time with your mom Amanda mine is so far away and I miss her soooo much but we talk everyday on the phone thank God for free calling to Canada. sad day in LA.
It's obvious that your mother delights in that little girl. Such sweet pictures.
There are many benefits to living in Wyoming. But there are a few drawbacks. We don't have tea rooms…at least not here. sigh. It just sounds so girly.
Melana
it looks like you had such a fun time at the tea room! annabeth is so beautiful!
my group forgot to take a picture for signup post on tuesday, but it's been really fun to see how many different people from so many different places are joining together for this study! thanks again for facilitating it – God is using it so much in my life already.
Great pictures, what a fun thing to do together! That cake looks amazing!!
Lynn
Absofreakinlutely PRECIOUS! LOVE the dress and I think she should have bought that tea cup as a memento!!! GO BUY IT BETH!!!
Love ya'll…you make me smile daily!
Thank you so much, Amanda, for sharing!
Chelle's comments about her her husband reminded me of last week when I was telling my husband and daughter about the proposal at Pittsburgh, and my husband said, "and how do you know this?"
The Sweet Magnolia Tea Room here in Durant is great, so please let me know if you ever come here!
Like I've told you before, cherish every moment with Annabeth and with Jackson and take pictures every where!
Love you all!
You were all on my Thursday's Thankful Thoughts list today!
Annabeth just gets cuter and cuter!
I so love the photos – please keep them coming – she is growing soooo fast! Love, DQ Nana
OH I love a great tea room. My favorite is called the Wild Plum on the Craft Trail in Gatlinburg. Fabulous.
And Bethie. Hair Perfection. That's all I'm gonna say.
Love to you girls!
Absolutely loved the pictures, You are all such beautiful people. Nothing like a "Ladies Tea" to just enjoy the tea and cake and conversation. I love coming to the blog and reading and seeing pictures of you and your family. Thanks for sharing. See you in Greensboro in July. Praying for Stockton this weekend.
Love you,

Our favorite tea room here closed about a year ago. The name was Lydias and I have so many sweet memories of me & my mom taking my 3girls there. They all loved it but "meme" and my youngest daughter Peyton made it their special place, always putting on beads and a floppy hat when they arrived. Their favorite thing was these tiny scratch cheese biscuits–they were delicious! Glad you girls had a fun time and thanks for bringing back sweet memories of my mom.
Thanks for the free download, my book is not in yet. I cant wait to get started!
Much Love, Lisa
You guys are just way too cute!! We have a place like that called "A Spot of Tea" here in downtown Mobile..hey, if you're ever in Mobile, I'd love to take you!! We could even bring along my Ella; she was born the same week as Annabeth!
That cake sure looks delish!! And the last picture of Annabeth made me laugh! What a cutie!
precious, just precious.
and coconut cake….mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
okay I am lost in a dreamworld now.
Deirdre
Is it just me, or is Beth Moore the youngest looking, prettiest grandmother ever? Seriously.
oh …and I love that you guys do the "turn the highchair up-side-down to support the baby seat" thing too.
What fun! I've never been to a tea room. Thanks for sharing your wonderful day.
I must admit when I first saw the post title I thought it was going to be a post about M&M's…(yum!!) My brain just gets stuck on chocolate sometimes.
Blessings,
Michelle in VT
Sooooooooooooo Precious!! I used to keep my granddaughter one day a week and we would have an afternoon tea party. (Sometimes Koolaid, sometimes tea…basically whatever I had on hand). Those were precious times. Good teaching moments too!!
Loving the Study!!!

What fun! My mother and I went to visit my baby sister in Wake Forest, N.C. over the Easter holiday. We went to a tea room there – my first one! We had alot of fun taking pictures too with my 3 yr old neice.
God is so good to let us have so much fun in little things like a simple lunch at a tea room!
Awww! Annabeth just gets cuter by the day and I love the pout when she realized her Bibby had to go back to work. Looks like her first tea room experience was a good one and you really have to go back with Melissa. She seems like the greatest aunt and I know wants to share that experience.
I'm facilitating a group at church doing Me, Myself & Lies and we plan to participate with you. The intro session was Wednesday night and I had surgery on Tuesday, so someone did the intro for me. I'll get pictures of our group at our meeting next week so we can be official online study members.
Love you,
Dianne
Thanks for the great pics Amanda. That little girl is certainly adorable. The cake however is another story. I LOVE coconut, so that cake not only looked delicious, but totally sinful……
Glad you guys had such a great day.
Blessings to all of you…

Oh my, how much fun you must have had!
I just wanted to comment that I'm really benefiting from the MM&L's study. I actually did two days worth this morning 'cause my kids slept in so I took advantage of the quiet. It's very enlightening to realize how much of my thought life has been focused on earthly concerns rather than the truth of God. I've been making note cards as reminders. This is a great study!
Sweet times! The pictures are beautiful!
Soooooooooo stinkin precious!!!! I think Annabeth liked the whole tea experience ๐
AS the crazy tea lady of Sugar land I have to say thank you for teaching Annabeth the joys of tea parties at a good starting age. The is a lovely Tea room in Sugar Land called Serenatea you might want to check out. She does need her own tea set soon. Having tea is the experience more that the liquid so coffee, milk, hot chocolate, or even lemonade or water, is fine too.
Got my book yesterday but thanks for all your help you ladies are amazing and we love you very much and appreciate you even more.
Thanks again
Astrid Beyleveld
That looks like it was a blast! Annabeth is a "doll baby".
We don't have a tea room in our little town but it looks like it would be just up my alley.
Beth- Have a great weekend and we'll pray for the Spirit to move in miraculous ways!
Pat from Kansas
Glad ya'll are training her early. Girl talk and coconut cake could probably solve the problems in the middle east.
Notice in that first pic how she is longingly looking toward the tea cup! And, don't you just LOVE that second pic….how beautiful!
Love the pics of Annabeth! Beautiful baby!
Love tea rooms! Hope to share one with a granddaughter someday.
Can't believe the post I left the other day about "a good argument can clear the cobs…" Oh, do you remember those famous last words! My husband and I have been married for 30 years and haven't had one of those good old blow outs for quite some time. But we are in a doozy now! I can see the enemy in this one. Feel he would seek to take me out with a single blow! He is mean in his fighting! I don't like him! (the enemy of our souls!) Would you help me give him a black eye today?
I don't like giving him much attention, but when you are battling face to face it is hard not to mention him. For now I am heading face down so that I can see a different face and win this battle. Please, please pray for us. I have been humbled and reminded how much I hate to fight!!!!
Thank you so much!
Blessings to ya all!
I'm with Annabeth–who wants to go back to work after a tea room and coconut cake!
How sweet, thank you for sharing these. I feel like I get to share in extended family events! love it!
How fun!! Love the pictures. Annabeth get cuter & cuter every time I see her. Thanks for sharing.
God Bless you all!
Love those pics! How darling!
I have my book but I have not had one minute to look at it yet, hopefully this weekend. I am off and want to show my group I can do this.
We are starating our Red White and Blue Fesitval this weekend and off to Branson next Thurs-Sat and Hardy, AR on Sun….whew! No wonder I dont' have time to look at a book but I'll make time somehow!
P.S. My name "Pink Bicycle" is from a Tea Room just outside of Washington D.C. that I love and we get to wear fancy hats!
Looks like Annabeth really enjoyed her tea room experience! I hope you shared the coconut cake so she'll learn it SHOULD be a staple!! One of my fav memories of my little Granny was her Coconut cake she made for me when she heard we were coming. My Man doesn't care for even the smell of coconut so I go without most of the time(which may be a good thing!
I'm thrilled to see so many Siestas share our love of coconut!
Just think, we can share some coconut cake in Heaven, with tea of course!!
Didn't realize until these pictures how much Annabeth looks like her grandpa Keith!!
What a fun and memorable day!
Love the pictures. I am so enjoying M,M &L. I got the study to "help" a friend and God decided I needed "help" too!
Thanks for suggesting it.
Thanks to my good friend "HistoryGal", we now both have the workbooks on order!!!Can't wait to get started ๐

Annabeth looks like a little doll in one of those pictures. Her eyelashes are beautiful! Thank you for the links. I've finished the first week of homework (overly eager) and have already put some Scripture in place of some thoughts. Coconut cake is my favorite! I never get any though because no one else in my family likes it. It was the same growing up. So yes, indeed, PTL for your coconut cake! ๐
