Hey, Sweet Things! It’s been several days since I posted this but I have to get back on here and tell you how PROUD I am of you! I see some fresh fire in your Scripture memory! Our sign-ins had dipped just a tad and now they’re heading back up. I know that also means we have newbies and I’m just as thrilled about that. I know this is HARD but, Girlfriends, we will do few things with greater personal impact than plastering Scripture on the walls of our minds. I am so proud of you. Let’s see this through!
Original Post:
Hey, my dear Siestas! Iāve just been thinking about the power that resides in a personal testimony and how our stories with God are meant to be told. And not just one single encounter shared over and over, as beautiful as that can be, but a lifetime of experiences lived out with a living, breathing ever-faithful Redeemer. One of the things God warns us about often in His Word is not forgetting what Heās done: what weāve seen with our own eyes, what weāve experienced with our own hearts. Nobody and nothing gets to take those things from us. My memory verse this time talks about that very thing. Itās Deuteronomy 4:9 out of the New International Version.
āBe careful, and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them slip from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to their children after them.ā
Keep telling your stories, Sweet Siestas. Donāt decide it wasnāt that big a deal after allā¦or that maybe you made it up, or that maybe it was just a coincidence. It was GOD. Revelation 12:11 says we overcome the enemy by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimonies! Letās open our mouths wide and tell it.
Okay, now let’s hear yours! Name, city, and verse!

Psalm 63: 1-8 O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water.
2 I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory.
3 Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you.
4 I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands.
5 My soul will be satisfied as with the richest of foods; with singing lips my mouth will praise you.

1 Peter 1:7-16
These ahve come so that your faith – of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire – may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls. Concerning this salvation, the prophets, who spoke of the grace that was to come to you, searched intently and with the greatest care, trying to find out the time and circumstances to which the Spirit of Christ in them was pointing when he predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories that would follow. It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves but you, when they spoke of the things that have now been told you by those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. Even angels long to look into these things. Therefore, prepare your minds for action; be self-controlled; set your hope fully on the grace to be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed. As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: "Be holy, because I am holy."

Romans 8:15-17
For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by Him we cry, "Abba, Father." The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs- heirs of God and co-heirs of with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in His glory.
You will seek me and find me when you search for Me with all of your heart.

Ho! Everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat. Yes, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Why do you spend money for what is not bread, and your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, and let your soul delight itself in abundance.
