    Amanda and Beth,

I’m not a minister’s wife and did not attend, but my friend Deborah did, and she was richly blessed by this event. Thank-you for having this event and blessing this beautiful group of ladies who serve beside their husbands.

    Love,

There is just something about seeing a room full of women in the act of true worship that gives me goosebumps. Seeing that sanctuary and that special group of women, gives me double chills and goosebumps. Thanks Amanda for sharing, and a double THANK YOU to all those minister’s wives who stand in the gap for their husbands and thier families (this means you to Amanda) THANKS

Wow! I am truly humbled. Thank you so much for sharing with us the heart of our minister’s wives. Talk about a motivation to pray! What an amazing and thankless job they do sometimes. Wives- Please know that you are appreciated, loved, prayed for, and honored today. Where would we be without them/you?

Oh. my. goodness. This past weekend was a need a long-time-comin’ for me. We so greatly appreciate all that everyone put into making it happen, especially for the prayers that went into it ahead of time. What it meant to me is too long to post on a blog comment (but I sent a private message to Julie on facebook and I don’t mind if she shares it with those who contributed if you really want to specifically know how God touched someone through you guys. Ya’ll need encouragement as much as we do).
    My 6 words:
    Worship with abandon. REMEMBER ME.

I haven’t cried like that in over 5 years… or maybe ever. It was a good thing… moreso a GOD thing.

There is no question that this conference was divinely appointed for now. I really hope there will be an event next year!

P.S.- Thank you for the Victory prayer cards. I have my 3 year old daughter pick out a “special prayer” from the box for us to say together every morning.

    Amanda,

Thank you for putting all the videos on the blog. The ministers’ wives comments were very eye-opening! I, too, was touched by the one that was in ministry for 25 years and doesn’t know if she’ll ever go to church again when her husband retires. I will continue to pray for all the ladies and their husbands. It looks like they had a great time! Thanks again for everything all of you and your whole family does every day!
    Love and hugs!

Our precious Siesta, Robyn at 3girlsmom, had such a GREAT time and I’m so very thankful for that weekend to minister to these amazing women!!

    Lily says:

I must admit that at first I wasn’t sure about going to this conference. Spouse and I are like so many other families out there who are going through financial challenges, but Spouse encouraged me to go. I think he could see that I really needed some encouragement.

I have to say that I was blessed beyond measure by the conference. Reminded that God was not unaware of who I was when he called Spouse into ministry. Reminded that I am not the only one who has challenges. Reminded that God, who created the universe, has a calling on my life- not just Spouse’s– that I work for God. I’m not here by default, but by divine calling.

I also had a chance to truly worship, without being worship leader, without worrying about what I was wearing or what people would have to say about it later. Just worship, pouring out my heart to God.

I am so glad I went, and I look forward to next year’s PW conference!

Blessings heaped on blessings! My cup runs over like crazy! To be able to enjoy and share in the worship of our God (the music was phenomenal – I can’t sing well at all, but the voices of 1200 women praising God – I can’t imagine a choir of angels sounding any more beautiful!) and the words from God through Miss Beth that made me laugh and cry and feel (probably for the first time) that I am so FORTUNATE to be a minister’s wife! I don’t live very close to my step-mom, so to be there and be able to worship with her and my 6 month old daughter, and then to be shocked to see my aunt that I only see every couple of years because we live across the country from each other and to be able to introduce her to my baby – God is all about details and He blessed me something BIG this weekend! I am revived and refreshed and ready to get busy working for Him!! Thank you so much to everyone who had anything to do with every part of this fabulous experience! I’ll stop now before someone says, “We didn’t need to hear the whole Megillah!” 🙂

I was there this weekend yet when I read these comments I was amazed at how some of them sounded as if I had written them. I love my postition as pastor’s wife but sometimes I want to just be able to go to church to worship and praise instead of feeling like I have to “work”, but I still ;ove what I do. Carla

I am a pastors wife whose life was dramatically changed by this weekend. I am embarrassed to admit that I was a misfit. As a result I have acknowledged my calling and am determined to walk in it from this day forward. Bless you. Thank you for preparing this weekend just for us. The presence of the Lord was almost too much. Still feeling the tears well up as I am writing. There are no words to describe how wonderful it was. To God be the glory…he has done great things for us and we are FILLED with joy!

The weekend was SO amazing and such a time of healing for me. I came so down and discouraged, with strongholds of bitterness and unforgiveness, being bitten by too many sheep. I feel such a restoration of joy in my calling and that God has chosen me for such a time as this. His timing is so perfect! Thank you to everyone who made it possible. Thank you to that wonderful prayer warrior who just held me while I cried until I was able to speak. I felt like I was in the arms of Jesus. THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

P.S. Will you share the “Before He Speaks” video? That was HILARIOUS but true!!!

I wish I had the words to convey how thankful I am that Beth and her team were willing to give of themselves to so many of us this past weekend. It truly was one of the most amazing weekends I have had in a long time. You almost don’t realize until you get there and feel free to let everything go and just experience Jesus, how truly exhausted you really are, and then to be filled with great teaching and worship is just incredible. Thank you also for posting these pastor’s wives comments that we read before each session. Amen to that!! Thank you, thank you, and thank you again!

    Haley says:

Thank you for this conference. My husband is in seminary right now and we have only served in a couple of churches where he had a part-time position in one and was interum at another. The ladies that I went with said that they wished they had gotten to attend something like this when they were in the beginning stages of being a ministers wife like I am. I feel like a weirdo because I feel like I know you because of this blog and your transparency every time I’ve had the opportunity to hear you teach. Beth, I hope that one day I will get to hug your neck and tell you what the Lord has done through you in my life!

    Marla says:

As a minister’s wife of 27 years, I shared this precious event with my precious minister’s wife daughter. As we looked into each other’s eyes during the closing “affirmation of our call” the tears streamed down both of our faces, realizng this moment was planned just for us. Thanks, Beth. It’s a moment I will always treasure.

I have been a pastor’s kid my entire life and now I’m married to a minister (which I love), BUT I will say that I have for much of my life guarded myself and not let anyone get too close to me because I don’t want to get hurt. Sheep do bite. Thank you for encouraging me to try it again. My six words…No longer alone. Sisters are here. Praise God for the other minister’s wives at the church my husband is called to! I love them so much. Thank you to all for their time and effort. I loved it!

I'm not sure what this pastor's wives weekend was but I wish I'd known about it. A friend just sent me a link to this site. I've been a pastor's wife for the past 3 years. We were previously full time missionaries for 17 years. I can say that the past 3 years as a pastor's wife have been the toughest & loneliest of my life.

My last boyfriend is a minister, although I never had the pleasure of attending services at his church. Seemed as if I was a totally separate part of his life, unfortunately. I guess he needed to step out of the role when he and I spent time together, was not comfortable discussing spiritual issues, the bible, anything theological with me. This greatly disappointed me, because I am so thirsty for knowledge and hungry for that close fellowship. Even went as far as to tell me, “I don’t want to be your teacher. I want to be your boyfriend.” Did not take me long to see that this was NOT the man God wanted me to be with.

    Beth,

I cannot thank you enough for sharing not only this beautiful, moving video, but for ministering to these precious women. Real quick, the music was so awesome.

I am not a pastor’s wife, but one of my best friends is.

I don’t know how to explain, she is so full of integrity. I have seen expressions on her face that lead into her soul. I know that she carries a huge burden, sometimes joyful and sometimes not.

I actually cried (which is so not like me) when I watched parts one, two and three. It touched me so much, I can’t explain it.

All I can say is that I’ll be on my knees tonight for pastors’ wives all across the globe, I am more mindful now. This has opened my eyes, and I will never look at them the same way again. I truly stand in awe of ALL OF THEM. Perserverance and obedience, I see, in all of them. Wow.

Aside from the blessings here, they are going to receive unimaginable rewards in heaven.

MAY GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU PRECIOUS, BRAVE AND BEAUTIFUL WOMEN!!!!!

One thing is for sure I have a new understanding of the “minister’s wife”. Wow. I don’t really know what to say, I have never read anything like that it nearly made me cry. I do thank God for the families in our nation that are following him and generously serving those in need. Thank you all so much! By the way, I am sure that our siesta mama took good care of you and I know your hearts were blessed. I will be praying for you and I’m also going to squeeze the life out of my pastors wife and tell her how much I appreciate and love her. Thanks for opening up my eyes you have truly touched my heart. And I love each of you 🙂

I was going … and then my plans were changed. What a blessing to see God at work in other mw’s! I love my Jesus, my husband, and my church … but it is a difficult, lonely road at times. We need a friend! Anyone who will accept us, love us unconditionaly, and listen … without judging and sharing with others what we said. We need a friend who won’t be intimidated by who we are. We are not perfect, and we have struggles just like you. We need couple friends to laugh with and be real with and pray with!

Thanks for your compassion, Beth, and for hearing and heeding the voice of God! You are loved by this pastor’s wife, and you minister to so many others! Thanks for the lift! God is so good!
