Love it, Beth! So inspiring. May it be true of all of us! My hubby in Kuwait and I decided to do a Bible study together while he was away and we decided to do No Other Gods. I didn’t quite “get it” when Kelly told us on the blog this summer that what was really blowing her away after she wrote the study was what God had been replacing in her life in place of the idols.

At the time, I was just glad to identify some of the idols and start working on the removal of them. Now, several months later and in the midst of discussing the study again with my husband, God is making so much progress in helping me be rid of my idols, and is also in the process of moving me away from the “milk” to the “meat,” of the spiritual life. Hallelujah!

It has been an awesome process. I think of your poem that has the thought (paraphrasing) “And I thought I loved Him then…” about how our love for Him just keeps growing more than we thought possible in the past.

I’m so glad you encouraged me this summer in the simulcast to “sow the word” and I have been “doing the thing” and the seeds are starting to sprout. I’ve got a long way to go toward a truly beautiful garden, but God is so good to give me glimpses of what He can do in a willing heart!

Okay, I’m still in MN visiting my mom and family/friends. Can I just say- it is so cold here!!! I cannot wait to go back to CA. The snow was beautiful- esp. for a day – maybe two, but now… I’m so over white. I keep asking God to show me His beauty in the midst of this frozen and barren tundra! I know He can. But, can he make my nose and toes warm again- ever???

Today we are officially halfway down with my hubby’s deployment!!! Hooray. Stay warm wherever you all are!

    Love,
    Rebekah

Thank you, lovely Beth!! I am trying so hard to believe God. My father is suddenly very, very ill and he is my mother’s caretaker. Though I know God is in control and has a plan, I cannot see how this can possibly work out.

This word today was for me!! Thank you!

Oh Beth – how I have believed and believed some more! The Lord has seen me through stage 3 breast cancer 10 years ago and last year acute myeloid leukemia with a cord blood transplant. I was “one” yesterday! He has always been good and taught me so much through it all. Suffering is never wasted and it is so rich if you are willing to believe. I thank you for all that your studies have taught me. Bless you and your family this Christmas. Deb

Beth – it seems my life is a constant roller coaster of believing Him and being so thankful that He could love me – and so quickly my next thought is that if I really believed that He loved me, I would be such a different person. And so many times His response to that is to give me yet another way to get a WORD through your teaching. You are the very best gift He has given me besides Jesus – and it is my hearts prayer that you know how very much you are loved by all the thousands of women like me. You make it seem possible to climb up in His lap and rest – I pray that your new year is blessed beyond measure

All week, the Spirit has been speaking to me “just stop worrying about it and God will take care of it.” The “it” in that sentence is an insecurity that I shared in the anonymous blog post a week or so ago. He keeps speaking that same sentence in my heart right into the core of that insecurity.

As I’m letting it go (from allowing it to bother me), living each moment in the fullness of His complete love and acceptance in spite of my insecurity, I sense….No, I KNOW…that if I keep doing that, God is going to take care of that insecurity and I’m going to get to a place of freedom there.

Sometimes the most profound truths are the most simple…just like you posted, Believe Him [and He will take care of it].

Wow Beth, That speaks to me loudly, I know I have a special calling on my Life from the Lord, the Lord has been calling me since at a young age into Women’s Ministry and encouraging women to dive into His Word.To search for Healing only through Him. See years ago since I was a small baby until the age of 15, I was sexually, emotional, physically, verbal abused. Then my teenage years well messed up! Even though at the ripe age of 6 when I gave my heart to God, that’s when I started calling, crying out to God to save me from this life, this world, this family. But God had a different plan. I would love to talk to you more indept. I have for many years but thought it would invade your privacy, that’s from the evil one, I know you would listen to me. I love your blog, bible studies we talk alot about Beth Moore is this house and what God is doing through you. Thank you for the verse today, I am going through a season of healing again.
    Merry Christmas Beth

Beth, Thank you soooo much for that precious verse. I have been troubled on my knees in prayer for our youngest daughter. She slipped behind in Spanish II & is at a 73%failing is 69%. She took a final quiz yesterday & this has not been graded yet . . .she thinks she did not do so well. She has been in class every single day. We woke up this morning to a snow day and now it is Christmas break. The new semester starts after that. To make a long story short. We won't know if she passed the class or not until next year. The anticipation of the unknown is the worst feeling ever. I am grasping hold of that precious verse and believing it! God is so good! I know this is a small thing compared to most . . .But huge to us. Thanks again!

    Mrs. Beth,

I have a friend that I just met in August. In that short time we’ve become really close. She is leaving the day after Christmas to go to Moody Bible. We’re here in Baton Rouge right now. I am so very happy that she was accepted, but also so very sad that she is leaving after such a short time. She is one of my first and few Christian friends my age. I’m 21 and don’t see many people my age living for the Lord. I don’t mean to turn this into an advice column, I was just wondering if you had anything to help lift my spirits a little. She’s going to be so far away and I’m afraid of losing touch.

Or if any of you other wonderful ladies out there can say something, I’d really appreciate it.

    Love and Hugs,
    Becca in BR
