Hey, Darling Ones! In case you’ve been looking in the lost and found for your senior Siesta, here I am! I’ve had lots of (good but busy!) family stuff going on and, in the process, got behind on my writing for Esther. SO I had my man take me to the cactus lands of West Texas where cell phones don’t ring, emails don’t send, and deadlines are what happen when someone runs the tractor over the telephone wire AGAIN. A divine set-up indeed. And I got caught right on up, praise You, Jesus. All is well with Moores, Jones’s, and Fitzpatricks. I have all sorts of things to catch you up on and I’ll do that soon. Far more importantly, it is Holy Week and I’ll look forward to reflecting with you on some of what that means – some of what CHRIST means – to us as we approach the weekend.
Until then (most likely Friday), I’d so dearly love to know how you are doing. Check in and let me know. Keep your responses to one to two sentences max so that I can read them all. Can’t wait to hear about you. I’m so sick of myself I could throw up. Love you, Siestas, and I’ve missed you!
Counting the days here in Florida until next Friday!! We have a group of 20 coming from Tampa. We will be in special Sunshine State Siesta t-shirts!! It’s Good Friday, and Easter is coming!!
Praising God for a new job at M. D. Anderson Cancer Center. Left a job of almost 12 years because God said it was time to go. And this is my first Easter as a married lady after 34 years of singlehood! Much love to you and your family!
He is doing such a huge work in my heart through Stepping up! I cant begin to express what that study has meant to me. From the very first day I knew I was to write a poem at the end of the Psalm when we are asked to make our own prayer. I have never written a poem/rhyme in my life. But, he has given me a RHYME! This is my Birthday weekend, so I am taking the day to celebrate with my mom. We are heading out to go SHOPPING!!! Thanks for all you do
Hi,
Winters are long in Wyoming so I’m very ready for spring. Easter is my favorite holiday! I am very close to the Lord latley and have seen many answered prayers. One of the answered prayers is a group of ladies meeting at my house to “get us some wisdom.”
Thanks for all you do!
Sarah from Wyoming
Hi Beth,
I sure have missed hearing from you or Amanda. I have been celebrating this week rejoicing that Christ gave us life by dying on the cross and then resurrecting. I have finished my cancer treatments and praise God for His faithfulness in seeing my through.
Just another siesta in Louisiana!uo
This is the first Easter that I truly feel my chains are gone, I’m out of my pit and prison cell! I’ve been battling bulemia among other addicitons…for years. BUT siestas..victory is a process and God wishes it for you!! He has not given up for you and will always fight for you. I am TRULY FREE from the bondage of food and self-absorbancy! It is freedom I pray for all who struggle daily. Wednesdays with Beth have been a big part of my victory! (I was at the October taping..SC) Can’t wait to hear those Spirit filled messages again this spring. Praise you Jesus!
I wish I didn’t want to get married. Where is he?
He is Risen!
I am just sad that I can’t attend LPL in San Diego in a few weeks! I will be praying for that event, Beth! Can’t wait for the updates.
Love,Wendy
Hey, Beth! I just discovered your blog this week, and I also recently found out that my husband is in remission from Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Looking forward to the rest of our lives!
Love,
Bethany
I am remembering my mother’s passing…2 years. After having several good cries yesterday I have awaken with love and hope. Because of Jesus the generations that follow will be left with Jesus Christ our one and only hope!
Enjoying Grace
We are dealing with illness and learning to not take life for granted. A good lesson indeed.
You are missed and loved!
Angela
I’m way out of the habit of studying the Word! I need a fresh start.
Just finished Stepping Up with an amzaing group of women. Enjoying watching my 18 month old hunt for eggs in the yard and then asked for more when we’re done. I’ve been teaching her about Jesus and she loves to point to a cross and say Jesus! I love it. Happy Easter
I have enjoyed having my 10 yr old son home from school this week. The weather has been warm and sunny. And I have stripped wallpaper from my kitchen. Hoping to have new paint covering the walls by tonight!
Hi Beth, so glad to hear you are doing well. I am working on Breaking Free and I am in the middle of rebuilding the ancient ruins (something I havent wanted to even think about). It’s some tough stuff, but Praise HIS NAME!!! I know freedom is on the other side! Thank you for your devotion to the TRUTH that sets the captive FREE!!! Have a blessed Easter!

Basking in God’s creation as spring yields new life! Sunday is EASTER and HE IS RISEN!!!
Praying for you and the writing of Esther. Can’t wait to do the study!!
Dawn
We’re doing fine, Praise the Lord. We are deeply grateful for Christ’s sacrifice on the cross and victory over death and sin!
Happy Resurrection Sunday! Love to all the Moores, Jones, Fitzpatricks and Siestas, Laura
Hi Beth!
I started “Beloved Disciple” in my home two weeks ago. Great things are happening!! God is touching a lot of hearts, that’s for sure. But, even though there are a lot of blessings, there is still a sense of emptiness coming from somewhere (with me). What’s up with that?
Have a glorious Easter.
Love, Anne
This song sums it up for me even when things don’t seem to go quite right…. “Oh Oh Lord, you’ve been so good to me. I can’t deny it, or try to hide it, want to let the whole world see, I’m singing. Oh Oh Lord, you’ve been so good to me, I want to spread, come on and let it, set you spirit free” ~ Lyrics from Kathleen Carnali new CD Dangerous Prayer!
ReJoice~ He is Risen!
Happy Easter
Beth,
I have missed reading the blog daily but I know you have work to do. ๐ The Lord has blessed me with allowing me to find some friends I had lost touch with years ago. One was a summer missions partner and the other a roommate. Both of these girls have made a deep impact in my life and are living for Christ. Our family recently relocated and although I love it here, I find myself yearning for the familiarity and comfort of old friends. Thank you Lord. I will be at the Jacksonville conference with one of my NEW friends here in FL. Blessings on you and your loved ones.
God has shown Himself so unbelievably faithful to me over the last few weeks. He. is. AMAZING.
I’m having a hard time right now. I have much to be grateful for in my life, loving husband, adorable baby, one more on the way. But my job at work has taken a nosedive over the last 12 months. I hate not liking what I do 9 hours of my day and being a stay-at-home mom is just not an option right now. I am not even sure what to pray for anymore. I just need some supernatural help and hoping God knows what I need.
Lovin the Lord 2day! Hallelujah He is soooooo good. Kids out of school for a week, Hallelujah! Slept in late, no lunches to fix. God is good – all the time!
I was blessed with a refreshing weekend away with my church at a leadership summit. God really touched us all and we got some great ideas. Now I get to look forward to LPL in San Diego next month! God is SO good!
I have been wondering how you are doing! So glad to hear from you!! The Lord has been answering prayers this week and how amazing it is to see Him working in my life and the lives of close friends. Happy Easter, HE IS RISEN, HE IS ALIVE!!
Lost my job today. The company is closing down. Trying to not to fall into despair.
Just glancing over the first couple of comments made me realize I am not alone. I have been struggling, and not in a pit of sin. Just really hard to explain but realize it is spiritual warfare. So, God is up to something HUGE and satan is mad. Oh, he will not be victorious. We may be down but we are not defeated. I praise God this morning for the revelation! Thank you for your ministry!
My heart is filled with gratitude this Easter! Just celebrated our precious baby girl’s 1st Birthday and expecting our 2nd baby girl in 3 months. May God bless you and your family!
Well, I paid my car off the other day, signed final papers for a low interest refi of my home, just finishing the study guide for Psalms of Ascent, now reading Hinds’ Feet on High Places and Chonda Pierce Laughing in the Dark, and waiting for it to stop raining out here in Portland, ORE. Hope all have a great Easter.
My husband and I celebrated our 15th anniversary yesterday with a day to ourselves. We went to the Kimbell Art Museum in Ft. Worth to see an exhibit of the “Earliest Christian Art.” I couldn’t help but think of how much you would love it, Beth. It was fascinating, and you would have been reading your brains out! Ha! They had artifacts from as early as the 3rd and 4th centuries. It was wonderful and inspiring… especially the scenes of Daniel as I have just completed that study! Have a happy and blessed Easter, sweet teacher! Gina
Looking forward to a glorious weekend celebrating the risen Savior and seeing you next weekend in Jacksonville, FL. God Is Good, All The Time.
Had wonderful therapy consisting of: playing with & loving on my “grands” (Elijah 4 yr and Willa 3mo) for the last 2 days while Mommy prepared to go back to work.
“G” in B’ham.
I am suffering, as I lost a baby 2 weeks ago. It’s an odd Lenten season, as I found out I was pregnant right before Ash Wednesday, and now it’s all over. Buying my 3yr old daughter’s Easter dress was so hard because I was surrounded by baby clothes.
Happier Easters to all.
Glad to have you back! I’ve missed seeing any recent posts from you.
As for me, we’re all desperately trying not to get sick for Easter as 3 of the 4 of us have had coughing/sneezing/sore throat, etc. the past few days. But, I know my Redeemer lives, and for that I am thankful!
Getting ready for Good Fiday Service!Excited I get to babysit the 2’s,3’s&4’s.Should be Fun.We have a Easter Cake and everthing .Have a great Easter with your family!
I am so happy that Jesus loves me, my husband loves me, my beautiful children love me, my parents love me, my sisters love me and I have friends who love me…WOW!
Just finishing Jesus the One and Only. What perfect timing this Good Friday!

Hi Beth- Recovering from shoulder surgery as a result from an injury while walking our Lab. I pulled one way she went the other. Having trouble concentrating on my bible studies due to the pain. I thank God oh so often for your obedience to teach and pray for you regularly.
Lovies,
Jill
Thank you, dear Beth, for letting God speak through you! I am freshly discovering a meaningful relationship with my King and you have been a powerful force used by Him to stir up my heart. Isn’t He beautiful? !!!
The enemy has been after me big time. I was so looking forward to this Holy week to draw closer to the Lord. My chronic pain has been so much worse, I have a big financial need, my son’s apartment was robbed and then he was in a car accident (not his fault…he’s ok). BUT, I refuse to let the devil steal my joy. God has been so good. He has ministered to me mightily and I’ve had the pure joy of forging a new/close friendship with a sister at church. Please pray…that my pain will decrease and that He will meet my financial needs. God is Good ALL the Time!
Love ya,
Jessica
Glad you’re caught up! ๐ I am a happy camper: 2 months from finishing grad school, and Hubby and I are now trying to start a family! (dance of joy …)
Last night we took our daughter to her first movie, the Dr. Suess one. She burst through the movie theater doors into the lobby, announcing her 3 year old verdict for ALL to hear(as if they were only standing there waiting for her to come out and tell), “I LIKED THE MOVIE!!!”
Also…(I’ve been waiting to tell you this) found out two weeks ago that the baptist church downtown opens their library to the community, and we can check out your studies!!! Money not being an issue now, I can work through some more and maybe lead one too. Being sick of yourself, you may not understand how deeply thankful I am..so thankful!
Hi, Beth, from chilly northern MN! I have 4 little girls, and am already taking notes on planning weddings someday! I love the LPM site. Much love to you! Annie
Struggling with a full-time ministry my husband and I are involved with. A cloud of oppression has settled over for too many years and we are begging for God to show us His glory. Was blessed to see you Beth last Tues at Bible Study. I am tired of un-living!! Please pray with us siesta’s!
Doing good. Thanks for asking. Went to Maundy Thursday service last night and so glad that Sunday’s a comin’!
Jaime
i finished BF today and i don’t think it’s a coincidental that it’s Good Friday! you have no idea what He’s done in this time, beth!

Glad you got caught up! Please pray for restoration in my marriage. I’m looking forward to our last session together Tuesday…I know Jesus loves me, LET FREEDOM RING!!!
Hi Miss Beth–I have had a wonderful week…not to be confused with perfect!
The LORD is so faithful. I have some big situations going on at work, difficult exams at school next week, just left the hospital today of sweet lady from my church who will be going home with Jesus anytime now, and through it all–the big, medium, and small–HE really is Faithful.
He is giving me such a desire for Home…Heaven. He really is coming back–I’ve never realized it so much as this present season. I love you.
love, Taylor
Not wanting to rush Easter…..I am living in Good Friday and “keeping watch” at the crucifixition today. Resurrection morn is coming, but not before the realization of the cost of today.
Blessings to yopu and yours,
Margaret
