A Good Sign for 2008

Just in from Payless. I have no idea where I will walk with God in 2008, but my feet are liable to look good.

Oh, how I adore Payless! So C-U-T-E!!
Great news: We are finally starting the Daniel study at our church…I can-not wait. I have done one of your studies every single January since I can remember and I always walk away a little closer to my Father.
Thank you, precious Beth. I know you probably hear that a ton, but I just want you to hear it from me. ๐Ÿ™‚

Sister! You will be testifying to his goodness in the most adorable shoes out there! And you got them at PAY.LESS! You do a Texas gal proud. Gotta get to Payless!

It’s 10:18pm here in Louisville and I am getting ready to turn in. However, before I did I was compelled to sneak a peek at the blog. I am so glad I did. Your shoes are super-cute!

I just went to payless today. I got a giftcard for Christmas =) I saw those shoes and fell in love with them, but alas the strap over the top was excruciating.

    :::sigh:::

    I didn’t leave empty-handed though. =)

    Laura says:

Great shoes! Wish I could put this size 10 NARROW in a PayLess shoe. Shoot! I just wish I could find some anywhere. I have been known to exasperate grown men in the sales department trying to help me find shoes. There is nothing quite like pushing one to the verge of tears because there isn’t anything that will stay on my feet. And they have to restock the 85 pairs they brought out for me to try on.

    Jackie says:

okay, so I tried on those EXACT shoes yesterday…I had gone in there to buy my 2 yr old some “princess” shoes and just HAD to walk by my aisle. It was so hard to leave them there, I have been thinking of them since them…dang it, I am gonna have to go back and get them. I mean, what kind of rule is it that I can only by HER princess shoes…what about me?? I need a reward for dragging a todler to Payless to try on shoes. HMMMMMM…. will be buying these tomorrow!

Oh, and great job with the pics…they look PERFECT!! ๐Ÿ™‚ Can’t wait to see you Tuesday, I can’t believe it is here so quickly already!! YEAH!!!

I’m like you “anonymous Annette ” except you have a Quad A foot and mine measues a QUINT A !!! No shopping at Payless for us gals with very thin feet. We have to pay VERY high prices for our shoes and oftentimes have to resort to ill-fitting nerdy shoes.

Not that I’m complaining you understand. ; )

Quad A Annette … have you ever heard of a shoe store called Marmi’s ? They carry NICE and fashionable shoes for us narrow footed females ! And Nordstroms can have some too.

Best wishes to you in finding your fit for your fab footsies.

What wonderful shoes! I wonder what they had in flats? (Heels make me like six foot one or something. Hmmm…I wonder if being six foot one would make me look thinner?)

    pilgrimsprogress says:

Those are so cute! I’m a ‘purses and shoes’ girl as my family has said since I was 6. I’m 40 now and had 2 boys so I was thrilled when my sister had a ‘p & S’ girl and my neice had one too. Not all girls are like that. I have female family members who DON’T GET IT. They get a charge out of us 3 tho! ๐Ÿ™‚ By the way, did those ‘s’ have a matching ‘p’? ๐Ÿ˜€ God Bless you and where He takes you in those shoes!!

    HIS daughter says:

“The devil may wear Prada, but…

    SIESTAS WEAR PAYLESS!!!”

I love that quote by one of the blog Siesta’s, Dora! Priceless (no pun intended)

I liked the shoes, but unfortunately, I am in the ranks with Amanda and Lissa. I wear an 8.5 and nothing is nearly as cute when it turns into a “boat”.

So pretty they all are as they sit on the display at size 5 up to 6 but dig around and find them in small boat size and ugh…more here does not mean better!

BUT, I love you, Beth! You are so real girl. You make all of our hearts glad with your desire to live your life as authentic before us as possible.

Not that you have to have “cheap” shoes, but whatever it is, watching one of the Christian world “superstars” dressed in “Prada” and all that, I don’t know, it just makes me feel strange. Not jealous or condemning but just strange.

I’m glad we have you down here on planet Earth doing life with the FATHER like the rest of us!

We love you little Siesta Beth!

    Teri

    Beth,

I have never been a girlie-girl, but have secretly wanted to be. I also am not one for shoes, but those are CUTE! Maybe being a Siesta will finally bring out the truly feminine in me. My husband will be thrilled.

    Love you all too much!

Go girl- from one 50-year-old to another! You rock!

Oh, I absolutely love shoes. Josh doesn’t understand why one pair of shoes isn’t enough. I’m educating him, but he still just rolls his eyes. He’s let me buy a few new pairs of shoes, but he still hasn’t given me enough freedom in the shoe department.

I know just the outfit you can order to compliment your snazzy new shoes. Check out the outfits worn by my children under the title of my blog. I’m pretty sure these jumpsuits (yeah, I said jumpsuits – bellbottom and vinyl at that!)come in adult sizes. I double-dog dare you to wear your new shoes and the above mentioned outfit at your next Living Proof Live event! : ) Love, love, love your blog (and those shoes)!

Shoes are my downfall….at least a pair per outfit. But, this past few weeks I have been purchasing shoes for my new grand daughter, who just arrived on Dec. 30. I saw your post about walking with God and it brought me to tears because a new little one was delivered from God to us and where will we teach her to walk? I pray that this new year we will all walk closer to Him for He really does want a closer walk with us if we just will. Thanks Beth for the reminder….and now I know what it’s like to be a ‘granny’….I am beside myself.

    Healed By His Grace says:

PERFECT! Wish I could stand in those HIGH heels! Not on this earth, but in heaven! Someone gave me a cute pad of paper that says, “The best way to forget all your troubles is to wear tight shoes!”

Beth, I am at home with a cold and I am previewing the Psalms of Ascent for our Bible Study. I almost came out of my chair and danced when you announced in the Introductory Session that Travis would be singing a worship song each time. I am thrilled! And the song he sings in this session is one of my favorites that I sing loudly in my car. Thank you for helping those of us on the other side of the screen to be quiet before the Lord, worship Him and prepare our hearts before you give us the lesson of the day. How long I have wanted this worship to be a part of your studies! Hallelujah and Amen!!! Thanks a gazillion! We are very blessed. If I weren’t feeling so crummy I would have to go shoe shopping!!! xoxox

now how is a girl that is 6 foot tall gonna wear those shoes wihtout making every man that walks by uncomfortable????? if you have never “been” there it is hilarious… tall women make those shorter men squirm… good thing I snagged a man 6’4 and handsome!! He doesn’t mind seeing me eye to eye at times!!!

I love those shoes! When I worked in corporate world, I would always go out and buy some cute shoes with a good heel. Made my 5’4″ frame feel a little bit taller! But now that I’m staying at home with the kids, I guess I would look silly walking around the house in them for cleaning and playing with the kids. Hmmm… My day will come again when I have a reason to wear such cute shoes and not just on Sundays!
