Good morning, Siestas! I hope everyone is doing well today. We are often asked about Bible study materials for men, so I thought I would take a minute to let you know about a new one available from Curtis Jones, AKA my husband. Most of you know that Curtis’ role at LPM is to create resources with your men in mind (whether your husbands, sons, fathers, grandfathers, or friends). This new resource is called Drive Thru the Bible Volume Two: The Holy Spirit and the Acts of the Apostles. It’s a CD set consisting of twenty-five 7-10 minute messages that your guy can listen to on the way to work or school or wherever he may go. This is basically a 25-day supply of on-the-road devotionals.
You can also find Curtis’ Drive Thru the Bible Volume One: The Life of Elijah and his Turbulent Times 3-CD set in our online store. The Turbulent Times CD set would be great for the young adult in your life.
Just scroll through the CD Studies section of our online store and you’ll see them there.

I did NOT know this is what your husband does. I could cry because well,I may very well be blind, but I can't find many (hardly any?) studies for men whereas we women can be glutted with them. I'm so very appreciative of all that's available to women, but my husband is in desperate need of something. Maybe this will be something that grabs him. blessings to Curtis!!
This is SO EXCITING to me that I can hardly stand it!!! I've been wishing for something like this to give to my hubby, who spends most of his work days in the car. Can't wait to get one!!!

This is amazing. God has ACTS all in my face these days. My women's Bible Study is doing the book of Acts and reading Forgotten God by Francis Chan (about the Holy Spirit). Now what an awesome listening tool for Acts. . I think I want it for me too! Sounds so great!

My husband and two son-in-laws are so thrilled that Curtis has a new volume two. They loved volume one!!
My husband has been a believer for many years but he credits Curtis with getting our son-in-laws to want to learn about and love the Lord.
My husband wants to "Thank" Curtis for his inspiration to men. He has helped my favorite guys get to know and grow a personal relationship with each other but most importantly with our Lord.

Thank you so much for being with me this morning! I had a closed MRI this morning to hopefully diagnose the cause of hip pain I've been having since January. This is the first time I've ever had an MRI and I was quite nervous about being claustrophobic! The technician asked me what music I wanted to listen to. I was hoping for KLove, but instead got a local "talk radio" Christian station. Just a few minutes in, I heard some familiar music, Hebrews 4:12, and finally … my Siesta Mama! Your sweet voice brought the comfort of Jesus to me throughout the MRI. I only wish I could have heard you teach for the entire 30 minutes! The minute I did get helped put me at ease. Thank you so much!

Hey! So TOTALLY not related to this post, but did anyone else watch Oprah? I never do, but I saw that Jessica Simpson was going to be on, addressing the media scrutiny of her weight. It was SOOOOO along the lines of what we're talking about with So Long Insecurity! SO right there. I wished Beth was there to share her book, because it just FIT! Just wondering if you guys had seen or heard about it! 🙂

Are any of these CD’s available for downloading? I think my husband would prefer that over a CD?
how can I believe in a god who has allowed my loved ones to go to hell despite all my prayers for them. Does god not promise to answer the prayers of a righteous person? Does this mean I was not righteous when I prayed?
