Wow…. even the timing of this video and concert after my morning of studying! Woe, mostly all I can say is HUGE! God, indeed, wants us to be His hands and His feet. DOERS!!! Not just sayers and prayers alone!

We don't have to help more than we're able. We're only asked to help where we can. From what we've been given, from how we have been blessed.

We're blessed to bless. We're given to give!

And dare we not pass by our neighbor! Dare we not step over the robbed and beaten and left for dead! But may we be the Good Samaritan that we are taught and told to be. May we have compassion, a passion that comes, that stops and sees and never passes on by the one that is put in our path for our eyes to see!

May we be to them a Jesus with skin on! May they see a real Jesus in me in the midst of their horror and need!

The people in Chili are now suffering the same devastation as Haiti. Pray for all those in danger, lives to be saved, safety to those in there efforts to rescue the victims, and God's comfort to all those affected.

    Yes, will be watching,praying and
giving. Thank you for the reminder Amanda. If everyone gives—its not the dollar amount (big is good) but what you have to share with those in need from your heart. Let the people see God in action.

I didn't check your blog till 9:30EST so missed some of the concert but did get to see two of my favorite groups..Alison Krauss and Jars of Clay. When Dan Haseltine from "Jars of Clay" talked about his father in law..his father in law is from Conneaut Lake,PA and he is in my sister in law's small group:)

I'm so tickled that you posted that! Yes, I texted the $10 donation. I wish I could do more for all the areas that have been hit hard by natural disasters.

I was especially touched by Jon Foreman's performance. The fact that he would solo from Switchfoot during such a grueling tour schedule speaks of the man's desire to be a living sacrifice.

I thank God for Compassion Int'l and all the other organizations that make it possible for me to help make a difference. That includes LPM!

    God bless you all!

I am just now reading back through the blog. I was actually in Haiti during this concert. I was there on a medical mission with Southern baptist disaster relief. I wanted you to know that I actually saw a compassion international feeding area. There is a lot of international aid there. It was an eye opening trip. I will tell you the need is very great and will be for a very long time. I would also like to share that the Haitian people were some of the most loving and gratefull people I have ever met. Many people in Haiti feel that God is getting ready for a great revival there and they are very hopefull for the future. I just thought you would like to know that Patty Pierce
