A Huge Thank You & the LPL Chinle AZ Recap to show fruit of your prayers!

Living Proof Live Chinle 2016 | Recap from LifeWay Women on Vimeo.

Beloved sisters, no words can convey the depth of my gratitude to you for countless prayers and thousands of scholarships that God used to make Chinle LPL a reality.  My four days there, face-to-face with so many Native American women – hearing their stories, their hurts and their hopes and getting to hold some of them in my arms – landed on me in a way I never want to get over. God is stirring up the dust in that native soil. I deeply hope He has plans for LPM to continue to invest in the faith of  Native American women. If the statistics we heard over and over are accurate, the reservation is only 5% Christian so the harvest in plentiful. We want to be part of seeing to it that the workers are not few. Women came from all over the reservation in Arizona but they also popped in from other parts of the United States all the way to Florida. I did a roll call during the first session to see how many tribes were represented in the room and, after about ten different names were yelled from the audience, I finally just said, “On the count of three, everybody shout the name of your tribe!” The sound stood the hair up on the back of my neck. I’ll never forget it.

The women we served stole my heart. They would have stolen yours, too. You would so love these sisters. And the best news of all is that, out of the bounty of Christ’s grace, we had many more sisters in Jesus when we left than when we arrived. One of the churches offered to have outdoor baptism for anyone who desired and even had changes of clothes and towels (well, and pastors!) ready and waiting right after the conference. It was one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever beheld in my life.

You helped make it possible. Keep that in mind as you take a few minutes and watch the recap.

I love you so dearly. You women are my entire ministry life. I want so much to serve you well. Please pray that I will. Please pray that I’ll please Christ and continue to grow in Him and love Him more than anything I can see or touch in this temporal realm. May He continue to capture all of our hearts.

Beth

Oh Beth! This gives me goosebumps – thank you SO much for going – for hearing the prompting of the Holy Spirit and following Him to this amazing place. I spent many many years of my life serving Jesus among the Native people in the southwest and even though I couldn’t be with you in Chinle, I got to see faces of women I love in your video! It brought such joy to my heart.
I wish I could sit with you over a big cup of coffee and tell you the stories of the lives God is changing in and through Native people across this continent! Sadly, many of the statistics are true, and I have seen and experienced the brutal reality of this all over the US and Canada, but hope is rising and God is on the move! So thankful you got to experience this during your weekend in Chinle!
(and did you get to eat a Navajo taco while you were there?)
Prayers for you as you discover what God has for you next!
In His mighty grip, Sara (www.oneagleswings.com)

I am so excited! Thank you for sharing the vimeo of Chinle. Those women have been on my mind, so much and when they came to mind I tried to stop and pray for them and the whole event. Wish I could have been there in person. The baptism at the end reminded me of watching a dear man in the church we went to when we were stationed in Great Falls, Montana. He got baptized in the same kind of metal trough and I just cried my eyes out and told him I was so proud that he made the decision for Christ. I got teary eyed when the young girl got baptized at the end of the vimeo and you were right there to witness it, Praise the Lord! You are so loved by me <3

Our youth do a mission trip every summer to a reservation in North Dakota, so it is close to our hearts. Jo says:

My aunt and uncle ministered to these people’s ancestors for many years, 1948 to 1985 or so. They lived in a series of house trucks as they then called them and traveled the West lovingly ministering to all peoples – those in small small towns and on reservationsp. They had little funding so my dear Aunt Edith told the children Bible stories while cutting out little animals and figures with her special scissors and any paper she could lay hands on while Uncle George taught and preached. The children were entranced as was I. There was quite a network of these dear souls, working with the marginalized of our land. It warms my heart and soul to know you are working with them, Beth and team. I’m sitting under a Navajo blanket my aunt was gifted by one of those grandmothers as I write, she gifted it to my mother then she to me. The scissors is in its dear leather case, very near. Her legacy of God’s love and their mission to these sweet people lives. Thanking God for your work there.

Beth, I was at this event, and I want to thank you for everything you poured into this area of need. I moved to the reservation in 2002, and have seen and heard the pain and sorrow being experienced by so many of our Native families. I pray that this is just the beginning of a spirit-filled revival in this land. Thank you again!

  31. 31
    Cendi says:

Oh my! That was so beautiful! Tears, tears and more tears. And the baptism at the end was just icing on the cake! Thank you Beth for going where you are called and doing what you are called to do.

  32. 32
    Amy Beth says:

I love this. A couple of summers ago, I took a group of 14 college students to a reservation so they could complete a cross cultural requirement. That week was my first real introduction to Native American culture and I was humbled by how little I knew going into the week. My favorite part of the week was when we would just sit in a conference room with Native Americans and just ask them “If you could tell this group of college students anything, what do you want them to know?” Almost every time, the conversations centered around the hardships these people face today (not just the hardships they have faced in the past). It was mind boggling. I am so grateful I had the chance to learn from them. It is so important.

  33. 33
    Tamara Scire says:

So beautiful! Thank you for sharing, praying for the seeds planted to grow into beautiful things beyond anything we can wish or imagine! Go God! At the end of your LPL events for the year, Beth, praying for you to be strengthened that you will not grow weary but instead be completely revived and renewed through Jesus our Lord! Amen!

  34. 34

Lord, I ask You to continue to bless and minister to the women who attended. I ask You to raise them up to proclaim the Gospel, give them strength to stand on Your holy Word, and be Your hands and feet in their communities. In Jesus’ Name I pray.

  35. 35
    Tony Sessions says:

Beth I want to take a moment to personally thank you for doing this conference, though my wife and I no longer serve on the Reservation we did spend almost 2 years just down the road from Chinle at Many Farms. God did many great things while we were there and He is still at work among the Navajo people. I am believing that God is going to do in your heart what He has done in the heart of my wife Linda and I. Once you get a taste of the love of the Native people it will stay with you, you will never be the same. Once again thank you and Lifeway for doing this conference. I pray that it will be the first of many events that will be done to reach the Native Americans for Christ.

  36. 36
    Midge Miller says:

Tears of joy to see how beautifully God answered our prayers. Thank you, Beth and team, for making yourselves available to do His good work. More prayers as I watched the vimeo and asked Him to bless those I saw.
    How great is our God!!!

  39. 39
    Penny says:

The day I saw this event posted, I knew God wanted me there to help serve these amazing women. Many obstacles came up, but when my feet hit the ground in New Mexico, I knew the Lord was moving mountains to make sure I was there to serve.

The Holy Spirit sat down in the Chinle Wildcat Den and dwelt with us. I could feel His presence intensely. I have a reoccurring dream that from the Native American females a president of the United States will come forth. As we walked out the of the event, I looked at the young faces, wondering which of them it will be.

The Lord is stirring up sagebrush country, and the red rock screams for our saviors’ return.

Thank you to Living Proof/Paula for the opportunity to volunteer and serve the Most High. It was a Good Day!!!

    Nancy Borrett says:

I can barely speak after watching that- it is so overwhelming. I love that there were so many men and so many young people! The one shot of those two young girls with their highlighters out fiercely studying, was just precious. I truly sense the Holy favor of God over this event, over you, Beth, Travis and the team, and all who donated a ticket for it. May you all be mightily blessed of God!

    Leslie Jones says:

My daughter taught kindergarten in Chinle in the little elementary school that sits in the shadow of the High School gym where you ministered. She has been forever touched by the Navajo people, especially the older women of her small church who took her under their protection and taught her many Navajo customs, even making fry bread! Thank you! Truly a neglected and long suffering people group to whom the Great Commission applies. Sweet time in the LORD.

    Wendy Walters says:

Oh, this video recap was simply BEAUTIFUL! I’m still drying my flooded eyes, so overcome by emotion while watching this gorgeous move of the Holy Spirit blow through all of those in the video – Beth and Travis, the Lifeway team and those that attended. After partnering with you in prayer for these past many months, (and having the privilege to partner through ticket scholarship) – it is so powerful to see the faces and the fruit of the event. Beth and your team, please be encouraged that Jesus is working powerfully through you to transform lives and bring the Kingdom here on earth – my life, those in my community, and those you touched in Chinle and beyond. All over the globe! Persecution will come, and we will all overcome in the name of Jesus. I love you dearly and look forward to partnership with you in the future.

    Sandy Anderson says:

Just want to tell you that I love you. God continues to use you in a mighty way and I’m thankful that you have accepted his calling in your life. Your studies have made me a better Christian, lover of my God, wife, mother and friend to those around me. Just imagine right now….my giving you a big hug and kiss my friend.

    marlene salcher says:

I love, love, love the study of Entrusted. I’ve told some I feel as if I’ve turned into someone I don’t even recognize. God has taught me so much; things I’ve never heard in all the years I’ve walked with Him since age 11. I went to Bible college in Houston at 17, attended numerous studies and heard things from Timothy, but not in the way it has been presented and to God I am grateful. I believe it’s one of the most powerful studies of Beth’s. Thank you so much.

What a poignant and much needed reminder of all that really matters. On the backside of Hurricane Matthew and all the devastation, how stabilizing to see dear ones baptized and given the hope of a Savior. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your ministry, Beth. Thank you, Lord, for still moving in our hearts and in our midst.

  49. 49
    Leah Kuor says:

Oh how wonderful !!! Hungry souls right in in the USA!!! Thank you for serving dear Beth. You are truly a representative of Christ. You inspire & encourage me to do the same in my small way assigned by our Lord. Love & appreciation to you & Keith.
