2011 Siesta Scripture Memory Team: Verse 21!

What???? Are you kidding me??? Verse 21?!?

We’re just four verses from the finish line, Sisters! To God’s great glory, we’re doing this thing! I grinned from ear to ear two weeks ago when someone posted “Jesus wept” as her verse. That’s fair game! All of us could use a little catch from time to time. You guys bring me so much joy. May God cause His love and power to explode within you because you’ve worked so hard and fought so many distractions to get to this point.

OK, Girlfriends, here’s mine:

Beth, Houston. “Just as each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of the varied grace of God. Whoever speaks, let it be with God’s words. Whoever serves, do so with the strength that God supplies, so that in everything God will be glorified through Jesus Christ. To Him belong the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen.” 1 Peter 4:10-11 The NET Bible

Let me hear yours!

Stay the course, Sweet Things. You are so dearly loved and planned for by God.

Hebrews 10:19-25 (these are my verses for the last 7 weeks of SSMT 2011)

“Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”

My counsel for you is simple and straightforward: Just go ahead with what you’ve been given. You received Christ Jesus, the Master; now live him. You’re deeply rooted in him. You’re well constructed upon him. You know your way around the faith. Now do what you’ve been taught. School’s out; quit studying the subject and start living it! And let your living spill over into thanksgiving. (Colossians 2:6, 7 MSG)
