Lincoln, Nebraska LPL Ticket Giveaway!

Hey Siestas!
Beth is getting ready to head out to Lincoln, NE for Living Proof Live this weekend and she is so anxious to get there and see what God has in store!

She asked me to hop on here and let you know that, thanks to the Siesta Scholarship Fund, we have set aside 20 scholarships for this weekend for the first 20 of you who call during regular business hours at Living Proof. It is our joy to offer these to some of you that would like to go but you just can’t afford the ticket. We so get that! Call Kimberly or Susan between 8:30-4:30 (CST) using our toll free number: 1-888-700-1999. If you call over the lunch hour, or you go straight to voice mail, just leave a message with your phone number and they will get back in touch with you just as soon as possible.

As Beth has said: We are THRILLED that we can partner with Christ and with one another to offer these scholarships to you. May God sovereignly hand them out just as He sees fit.

Dear Beth, I was supposed to go to Lincoln, NE this weekend to hear you speak. I was actually planning on making the trip from Kansas City with my newly adopted beautiful baby boy, Paul Philip, 6 weeks old. Yes, I became a first-time Mom at the age of 43 on Mother’s Day!!! God’s perfect timing! Anyway, I injured my back last week and had emergency back surgery yesterday. Needless to say, all of my weekend plans got nixed.

I met you in Dallas in March when you were taping at Lifeway Today. I shared with you that I had a friend who took her own life in Novemeber and she did not have anyone who was Jesus in the flesh for her. Now I feel like I’m responsible to be Jesus in the flesh for her children. What I did not disclose to you was that I was the crazy woman who sent you a rotted banana peel 4 or so years ago before the Omaha conference, and you were gracious enough to take a picture with it before you sent it back.

Anyway, I was just wondering if you could give a shout out to my bestest friends in Lincoln: Alicia, Nancy, Karli, Lara (who rededicated her life to Christ at the Albequerque (sp?) conference), Billie Sue, and Deena. I’m so disappointed I can’t go.

My husband and I just started a blog about our adoption story. There’s not much there, but I would love for you to read it. The address is http://keepingupwiththeohmesclan.name.

Thank you, Beth. You have been such a blessing in my life. Give my girls a much needed word from God this weekend! Travel safely!

    God Bless,
    Brenda Ohmes

      Earlene,
I will pray for your grandson and his family, to be sure. My 13-year-old son also has Asperger’s. He was diagnosed at age 11. Beth(or Ms.Moore), My name is Alison Rowe and I really loved hearing your message last night and this morning. See it’s been a hard year and a half for me I was laid off from a job back in 2009 I’ve worked at the Nebraska Child Support Payment Center for 5 years and my position was eliminated so then I took a part time job as a housekeeper at a local store in our mall here in Lincoln,NE and then I left that one for another part time job with another cleaning service and left that one for a Temporary one which I have now so I really would like your prayer for a Full Time JOB! I know I can do BETTER! and BETTER IS BETTER! so please keep me in your daily prayers!

    Joan Clouser says:

What a wonderful week-end in Lincoln learning about being BETTER!!! I am a Beth Moore, Joyce Meyer junkie. I have quoted Joyce for years, “You can be bitter or you can be better but you can’t be both!”. Now I have a new revelation of BETTER!

Sidenote: Ever been in a van with 8 ladies telling you for 2 days from NW MO to NE that they want pie!!! On way home we stopped at every po dunk diner in every town from Lincoln NE to Hiawatha KS. Sent a scout into a Gus’s Place and he had pie, guess how much? 9 pieces exactly! We had pie and great coffee, (which I as the driver needed desperately as I was getting a little testy with this pie thing). The ladies knew it was a God thing because all he had was 9 pieces and felt that we serve an awesome God who cares about 8 ladies wanting pie. He also healed the driver of the other carload that went from a Migraine headache as we ate lunch together before leaving NE. Will see you in KC in 2012 Lord willing and He has not come to take us all home. Doing your Bible Study on Revelations this fall. I will be the facilitator. Hope this blesses you as you have blessed us. In the Grip of His Grace, Joanie Clouser

Anyways, I just wanted to tell you I am using it as my “summer Bible study” and to say THANK YOU for this..I was lacking in my relationship with the Lord for a couple of weeks ( I was so crabby too). I decided to pick it up and take the time. It has encouraged me , reminded me to reprioritze and MAKE time for HIM. Thank you SO much – this is an easy read/lookup/focus for me. It is greatly appreciated!
