The Inheritance

What an exciting day! We start our new Bible study – The Inheritance – tonight at Houston’s First Baptist Church. We would love for any of our Houston Siestas to join us. And needless to say, we covet your prayers as we kick off a new semester of Bible study. Please pray for God’s presence to be with us, for Beth to be anointed to teach, for the praise team to lead us before the throne, for our LPM staff and volunteers to serve in excellence and love, for our prayer team to be filled with the Spirit, for our attendees to arrive safely and park easily, and for God to be glorified all semester long. Our Bible study coordinator’s name is Jennifer Hamm in case you’d like to lift her up by name.

Those of you who attended the Siesta Fiesta in San Antonio might be interested to know that that weekend was the springboard for this semester’s study. Beth really wanted to expound on the theme of inheritance in Scripture. I know I’m going to be asked what kind of product might come out of this study and right now my only answer is that I have no idea! I’m confident that God will have His way though.

Here’s some info for anyone who would like to join us tonight.

Reminders about Bible Study…

-Homework is not available for this study.
-Please try to carpool in order to free up more parking spots for our sisters arriving late.
-Avoid traffic by coming early to eat dinner at the Garden Café on-site. The café opens at 4:45pm and serves everything from a boxed dinner, soup, or salad to a hot plate.
-Doors to the Worship Center open at 6 p.m. You may save two seats!
-The resource table is available in the main foyer before and after Bible study. Specialty coffee drinks are also available in the main foyer.
-Need to miss a week of Bible study? The previous week’s lesson is available to view in the chapel at 5 p.m. each Tuesday.
Click here for directions to Houston’s First Baptist Church and additional approved parking locations near the church. The on-site lots typically fill by 6:15pm. Plan to park at one of these garages if you are arriving after this time.

See you soon!

WOW! Will be a GREAT study! I’ll cover you all in prayer, for sure! I was blessed to be at that conference in San Antonio…was excellent! (I live in Corpus Christi) Would love to be a part of this new study, but it’s too far for me to drive : ( I’ll have to wait for “The Inheritance” to possibly come out in published form or on “Wednesdays with Beth” (hint, hint). Thanks for serving the Lord with your gifts.

WE ARE HEIRS OF GOD; CO-HEIRS WITH CHRIST!

    Blessings~ Teri

Siesta OC…I feel exactly the SAME way! To live in Houston would be amazing! We would have “easy access” to Beth’s fabulous teaching regularly!

I have to mention how beautiful the poster is too! I just love graphics and this one is so “royal” looking!!!

I will be praying for you all tonight – and every Tuesday through March!

Thank you so much for the invitation. I can picture myself sitting on the front row, (I am so short and am easily distracted so the front row is best) and can picture Beth looking right into my eyes making a point……probably one that I need more than anyone else in the room.
“The Inheritance” brings the parable of the prodigal son to mind. Just thinking about the attitude, acceptance, ring, and celebration the Father waits to give us when we return to Him……even when we have squandered so much. What a loving Father! What an amazing God.

I am sorry that I cannot be there…….I know that it will be awesome!
    Love you!

Ahhh, God is so good. I was just praying for LPM this AM as God brought you all to mind. Still praying in CA for an amazing God encounter for all who attend, for the Holy Spirit to wrap Himself around each and every person in attendance tonight..that a word will be spoken in His time tonight that will transform lives, mend broken hearts and bring victory and a victorious mind set to a dear one that is hurting and being beaten down by the enemy. Oh that I lived in TX and could be there. I LOVE the theme Inheritance and would love to delve deep into that some time! Rich blessings and anointing tonight on all invovled in ministry.

I agree with Siesta OC… I sometimes wished I still lived in Houston, so I could go to these wonderful live studies with Y’all !

However, know that I will be covering that sanctuary with prayers, and of course, our sweet teacher, Miss Beth, and Jennifer Hamm as well. And, for all equipment, etc. to work correctly.

And, most importantly, may God receive the glory from this new study, and pour out His Spirit mightily on Miss Beth throughout.

    Love in Christ Jesus,

P.s. Would Y’all mind sending us some warm air, please ??? The temperature right this very moment is +1, with a wind-chill [feels like temperature] of -5 F. EEKS !!!

I, too, would love to be present at one of the live Bible studies. But the videos are pretty close! Speaking of the videos, I can’t get in with any of the groups near me doing Esther right now…any chance you’re going to put them online for a fee like I hear you did with Believing God? That would rock!!! I’m thinking I might just do the book minus the videos for now… Thanks!

My grandma, mom, and I have attended a few of your Bible studies in Houston over the last few years. Yesterday, we found out about the new study that started tonight. I am 17 and have suffered from cluster “suicide” headaches for the last 12 weeks — the last 6 weeks they have occurred every night without a break. We planned to call today to find out if it was possible to bring a portable oxygen tank to FBC, so even if I got sick, I could still be in attendance. Last night, for the first night in 6 weeks, I had no clusters whatsoever. I did not have any tonight either and was crazy excited and so overjoyed to be able to worship our God who heals surrounded by so many others who love Him.
Thanks to your ministry team especially, who said they would pray specifically for my family after they heard our request today. PRAISE BE TO GOD 🙂

    You’ll be in my prayers.

    Michelle says:

Ok Beth so we didn’t think the “wild ride” would take quite the turn with Jesus takin the wheel quite like it did. As my sister (in Christ) and I drove home to Waco from the study, we were almost (and I mean feet) in a head on collision doing 75 mph with another car that swerved over halfway into our lane and caused us to veer way off into the shouldler. It was all in slow motion, and only God could have steered our car to safety with highway speeds and that car being so far in our lane. My sister then told me she’d been given a vision that we would get into a head on at that very same spot earlier in the night and had been praying over it. Good thing Jesus really did take the wheel and steer us to safety! It was a stomach turning evening, but we know it was Satan trying to stop us from going home and changing our worlds for Christ. Great things are OBVIOUSLY coming! Thanks for your honesty…NO it’s NOT BORING when you decide to be in the will of God!!! We are blessed to be home safely!

    Mindy Banks says:

Well, it is Wed. morning as I read this post, so I’ve obviously missed being in prayer for the Houston study last night. However, I will pray for the remainder of the study and I will mention it tonight (if we don’t get snowed out)at our women’s Bible study here in Cincinnati.

By the way, I would ask for prayer from anyone who would be willing to give it that God would knock our socks off, blow our minds wide open, and reach in a grab ahold of our hearts as we kick off our Esther study tonight at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Cincinnati. Additionally, we are doing the video one week, and the discussion the following week(our ladies REALLY like to talk and get engaged, so there isn’t enough time otherwise), so this one is going to be going through the duration of our semester and there is no room for one missed Wed. night—and we have incliment weather in the forecast tonight of all nights!. Oh well, it is in HIS glorious, capable hands.

    God Bless,
