REMINDERS:
Unbelievably thankful to be attending! Also petrified that all verses will drop from my head and I won’t be able to recite a one! Each one was chosen for a reason that week, a verse about after the flood after Harvey, Philippians 4:13 when we were watching the Ironman World Champions, etc. Hopefully these will be the mental triggers I need. Or, alternatively, I will draw a complete blank and not represent the Buckeye state well. And whoever is attending from Michigan will secretly take glee! LOL!!!
sandy Im praying for you and me, this is my first time ever to get to come to celebration and im also petrified I wont be able to quote much, either!!! lets hpe we can atleast remember one!!lol
I will be looking for you, Veronica!
I registered but unfortunately I will not be able to attend. I am so sorry I will miss this wonderful time with all this wonderful ladies. 🙁
I am so excited to be able to attend! and that my dear Sisters from Vermont and Florida will be there with me! Thanks for hosting such an inspirational challenge and event!
I was so excited about the SSMT celebration, but was disappointed to learn where it would be held. It is not feasible for me to try to fly to Fort Lauderdale and to also rent a hotel room for several days, so unfortunately, I will be unable to attend. I have enjoyed the scripture memorization, but I wish the celebration could have been planned in a more centralized location that many would be able to attend.

I didn’t know if I could memorize verses, but I can and I’m hanging in there! The verses I have memorized have special meaning to me, especially through some rough times this year, and they are so dear to me now. The list of verses I want to memorize seems to be growing rather than shrinking, so I’m just going to have to keep memorizing! A lot of times God will reveal something new to me about one word in the verse. A side benefit I hadn’t counted on was how this practice has greatly increased my memory and recall for lots of other things in my life too! I won’t be able to join the celebration in February, but am so grateful for the encouragement received in this endeavor. Thank you!
Oh Lisa, this is such a great testimony of what the Word is doing in your heart! I too have selected what, at the time, I thought were random verses, but God knew I would need them deeper than words on a page. So happy you joined us and are hanging in there!
Romans 12: 20&21 “but if your enemy is hungry, feed him and if he is thirsty, give him a drink; in so doing you will heap burning coals upon his head. Do not be overcome by evil , but overcome evil with good
Looks like you should be able to have a small intimate SSMT celebration. Enjoy!
I had so hoped to come this year, but we will just be returning from a mission trip to Haiti on the 24th. Thank you for the encouragement and the accountability. I am almost halfway through memorizing 2 Timothy, so I’ll have to keep working on that next year Blessings to all who will celebrate together! May we all finish this year well, with some even jumping back in, and may Jesus be our delight!
Walking in His grace,
Audrey

I just wanted to pop on here and thank the “siestas” and LPM team for the encouragement this year! Although I will not be able to attend the celebration, I’m blown away that, by December 31, 2017, I will have memorized Isaiah 58 and Isaiah 61. Sometimes, without warning, tears flow as the words come out of my mouth. Scripture memory is such a discipline, but also a way to deepen my faith. The mouth of the LORD has spoken! Have fun, siestas! Thank you for a wonderful year.

I am coming alone and have a reservation at the Courtyard Ft Lauderdale North/Cypress Creek. It would be great to have a roommate, so if anyone would like to share a room and it’s cost I would be happy to have you. I currently have a room for Feb 23 and 24th. I may cancel the second night if my flight leaves earlier. We could split the cost. First night is $189 plus tax and the second is $227 plus tax. You can email me at [email protected] if interested.

I am SO excited – and a little nervous to come to Florida from California with my daughter-in-law! I’ve never been to Florida – except right at the border between that and Georgia – and my daughter-in-law has never been on a plane before! 🙂 We will be there though if God says the same!!! Don’t know how many verses we’ll remember by memory, but we’ll have our notebooks in hand ready for the blessings!!
