Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God.

    Psalm 92:13, NIV

I memorize scripture because I’m a healed had.
I NEED scripture so badly to keep from falling.
I NEED God’s Word every second of the day to constantly keep my mind renewed.
    Its hard. Real hard.
This process is simply one of the ways I cling to Jesus for dear life.

    Bless you.

Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that is may give grade to those who hear.

God has been good. I needed this reminder Beth, from your video, so I chose it for my last verse this difficult year. (Day before Thanksgiving my husband asked for a divorce but the whole year has been a challenge!). Thank you for your constant focus on the Word.

I have really enjoyed this year, choosing verses to ponder and memorize. I didn’t memorize them
all, but I will take this new technique of memorizing two verses a month and start again next year.
    Blessings to everyone!

In Dec. 2016, after reflecting on verses in Isaiah 40 over the Christmas season, I said to myself, “I really should memorize this beautiful chapter.” Then I saw Beth’s SSMT invitation, and I knew I had to jump in! There is a gold mine in Isaiah 40, and I have loved being there all year. Two things stand out to me: the glory of the One who brings princes to *nothing* WILL be revealed fully one day (40:5, 23). And, to my amazement, he provides power and strength for me (40:29-31). Thanks for your encouragement to keep going all year, Beth!

I cry out to Him daily, “Oh Lord, please make me more like You and less like me. Thank You so much for all you do for God’s children. I look forward to the new year joining you and my sweet Siestas. Zoey PacNW

    Jude 1:1,2 (NIV)

To those who have been called, who are loved in God the Father and kept for Jesus Christ:

2 Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance.

I started back in 2015 and my anchor verse was Joshua 1:18…”Above all, be strong.” (four words, right?)
It was sure and quick in the moment, especial when a moment is all you got…so to speak.

This year in 2017, my anchor verse is Jude 1:1,2…”To those who are called, who are loved in God the Father and kept for Jesus Christ: Mercy, Peace and Love be yours in abundance.”

Of course, there were moments when only parts would come to mind…”loved in God and kept for Jesus Christ” but it was enough to bring the Mercy, Peace and Love back to me and get me moving on my way. (It is my cap verse for 2017)

So, until our next SSMT 2019…I raise my hands up and shout to the Lord along with you…”We did it”! Praise Him! ~Zoey

God Bless you Siesta’s and dear Beth.

The last 18 months have been so very hard, with such a feeling of loss from so many angles. The verses have spoke through my sadness, pain and confusion, to give me some peace and hope…to cling to Him desperately, to never stop trying to follow Him and ways to allow Him to work through me to my husband, kids etc… to trust He was in control, even when I couldn’t feel or know it, but just trusted God was working in ways unseen…my Mom loved Him whole heartedly and went back to Him in August unexpectedly, and I am making it day by day on His strength through His word and those around me showing me His love. I haven’t memorized all the verses but they are in my book and are read, with hopes of my mind one day being better able to focus and remember them. Thank you for the encouragement~

Beth, you have always been an inspiration to me. Your love for the Scriptures is contagious and I caught it. I am trying to be contagious to Hispanic women around the world and encourage them to memorize Scripture too. Psalm 25 has been an anchor for me this year as the Lord has reminded me of who He is and of His ongoing work in my life. Now, Exodus 4:12 arrived just in time as I am contemplating a speaking engagement to teach God’s Word overseas. I had just been asking the Lord, What should I speak on? Thank you for your dedication to serve God’s people.

He is the joy of my soul! Thank you Beth and Living Proof Team – I feel like we are best of friends and treasure this fellowship.

Glory for 2017! A year of transition and walking in faith – I left a big corporate job, took a 3 month sabbatical, traveled for a month, now consulting part time so that I have time to focus on the true battlefield of our marriage. Walked through studies of Gideon with Priscilla Shirer (God’s 300 is better!) and Entrusted and the Quest with Beth – each one leading me deeper into my Jesus!
