Thank you LPM and LPL for all your generosity and scholarships for those needing them. Thankful that am able to be there and am planning on being there! Excited at what the LORD has for us all! Praying for all involved to be sensitive to Holy Spirit, consecrated to the Lord and ready to obey His leading and obey fully as led. May obedient, worshipful hearts and lives impact many. Changed lives from God’s moving and speaking and people responding to His Love and worshiping our Worthy Lamb!

Beth, I am so much looking forward to your time in Norfolk. I currently live in MD, but spent the first 30+ years of my married life in Norfolk. I met Jesus there, raised my 3 wonderful children there and have some amazing friends there.
I am concerned however that you and your team pronounce the city correctly. (LOL) It’s Nawfawk. Not Nor-folk as it’s spelled. I’m not sure how that ever came about. (again, LOL).
Also, if you are looking for a good restaurant filled with history and charm, I might suggest the Freemason Abby. It’s a great place for lunch. If you go for dinner, the broiled seafood platter leaves a lot to be desired, but the pork chop is to die for. Just my experience.
Blessings on ya’ll and looking forward to a spirit-filled, powerful, rocking weekend to hear God’s Word.

So excited to see you in Norfolk tomorrow! I’m volunteering as a small way to give back for the powerful way you (and God, of course) have changed my life! I’m so thankful for your ministry!

I’m so excited to be sharing this trip with many women from my church who have never been to any type of Christian women’s conference. How wonderful it will be that their first experience like this will be lead by Beth and a fantastic worship leader! Praying for You as you prepare.

Just left the day 2 conference. Haven’t stopped crying. Thank you for a beautiful and enlightening experience. I came into the 2 days feeling lost and unsure and now feel strongly confident I can get back on the right path.

This morning I woke up with a migraine, but I knew that I was not going to miss the 2nd part of the Beth Moore Conference Norfolk, last night was very powerful and I did not want to miss out on any of what God was doing. The morning was foggy and it was drizzling. (A good thing the sun was not bright for my head). I walked out of the house praising God for the beautiful day. I could feel God’s presence with me. On the way in I had to wait for a drawbridge opening and there was quite a bit of traffic heading into the conference, but It gave me more time alone with God to just praise him in the quiet. I met the group of women that I went with The first thing we did was to give each other a couple minutes of shoulder and neck massages. Then we had a wonderful time of praise. Beth Moore came out and said that she felt that she was drawn to do something that she had never done before. She said that she felt called to have a time of healing. She called all the women/and men who had chronic illnesses, who had children with illnesses, with those who were physically sick to come down to the floor. She asked the rest of us who were standing at our seats to reach out our hands to cover the women with prayers. I lifted my arms and almost immediately I felt tingling in my fingers. I tried to pray silently for healing, then all of the sudden I could not speak I felt my breathing change to something I had never felt before, It was a sob like breathing (that is the closest thing that I can describe it as). I felt energy leaving my fingers I don’t know even what I was thinking if I was thinking. I felt my arms grow tired, like I had held them up for a long period of time, but I knew that I needed to keep them up and I had the strength to hold them up. When the prayer was done and the women started going back to their seats I felt a little shaky but felt filled. Then she asked for those who were in need of deliverance to come down. Again she prayed over them. And we lifted our hands over them. This time I kept praying God deliver me from my food addiction. Again I felt the tingling in my fingers and power, but I also couldn’t hold my arms up for the whole time, I felt that God was telling me that he would deliver me. In Beth’s pray towards the end she prayed for deliverance from food addiction. Towards the end of the time the praise team started singing the song Break Every Chain.

There is power in the name of Jesus
There is power in the name of Jesus
There is power in the name of Jesus
To break every chain, break every chain, break every chain

    There’s an army rising up
    There’s an army rising up
    There’s an army rising up
To break every chain, break every chain, break every chain

They also added (something that I had not heard before)
    I hear the chains falling.

My shoulders and neck were still hurting and my head a little, but I felt peace. Then the rest of the conference was wonderful.

Now for even better stuff… I had to go to the grocery store after to get some fruit for our Women’s tea tomorrow afternoon, and I had not eaten yet and it was after 1pm. I was not even tempted to pick up any snack food, I got the fruit, some veges, cheese, and meat for sandwiches or salads. Many times in that instance, I would reach for some chips, popcorn, or candy and I did not even have a desire for it. I did promise my son earlier in the week that I would pick up Chick Filet for lunch and I did get waffle fries, but I ate a couple and I did not want anymore (I got the deluxe with the lettuce and tomatoes).

I know that I feel that I am still on the mountaintop, and I know that the devil will be working on tempting me, but I feel that I have the strength of Jesus to help me combat my addiction.

I am not sure if this is where I am supposed to post this, so if it is the wrong spot, I apologize. This past weekend I was in “Netflix” (haha) VA at the Recalibrate conference and Beth had said that if we had a testimony to share it with you and that is what I want to do.
God started working on me Thursday before I got on the plane (I am from Indiana) to go visit my sister. I realized I had a horrible attitude, especially toward my husband, and I asked God to help me. He started by showing me how big He is on the plane as I looked down at the metal shards that were cars and thought how foolish us tiny humans must look when we shake our fist at God. Then He shared with me His faithfulness as He put one obstacle in front of another at the airport where I was switching planes, giving me strength and encouraging me when I wanted to bawl my eyes out. Friday morning I had the wonderful opportunity to spend time with my sister and some ladies from her church in a time of sharing and prayer where God showed me that I was struggling in my relationship with my husband because I have been trying desperately to take his position and be his master instead of submitting myself under the authority God has given him. Saturday starts off with the Holy Spirit whispering to me that I do not know the power of the God I serve, and then later revealing to me that I am seeking the glory that belongs to God alone. At the very same time He reveals this sin, what I consider to be equal to the sin that had Lucifer cast out of heaven, the praise band is singing “the blood of Jesus speaks for me.” So in one breath God exposes my crime and wipes away the guilt of it. I fly home today, Sunday, and a book I ordered has come in the mail so I begin to read “The Most Encouraging Book on Hell Ever” by Thor Ramsey who explains so plainly how hell glorifies God in that it proves He is just and a worthy King in that He does not wink at sin. There is a punishment for sin, and God is clear in the Bible that He hates evil. As I read this the depth of my sin against God is so clearly illuminated as is the grace that He gave through Jesus. It is not enough that He showed me at the conference He is making sure I understand how evil my sin was and how great His grace. How can a God so holy forgive such horrendous sin? Love is the only answer. How can He love those who desire to steal what belongs to Him alone? I have no answer. To say I am grateful would be an understatement. I am in awe. Thank you, Living Proof, for making this weekend happen. I know God is ultimately in control and this was all His plan but your obedience was a blessing to me, and I am sure many other women as well. May He continue to bless your ministry and each of you in abundance.

    To Beth More,
What an amazing weekend in Norfolk . The conference was all I thought it would be. The lesson you gave in Luke chapter 7 open up a greater understanding. I am a new author and I would like to share the new poem I wrote from being inspired at the conference.

    “Calibrated in Christ”

    Breathe Your spirit into me
    Oh, Lord!
    Recalibrate me back to You,
Your glory! My Lord stands alone
I need to be washed by You.
    Overflow me with Your Spirit,
    Set the captives free.
Your presence is the dwelling place,
    My soul longs to be.
    Realign me with Your microscope
    Through Your lens,
    I am redeemed
I’ve been washed in Your holiness
Your blood has washed me clean.

My mom called today and asked if I would give a scholarship instead of buying her a Mother’s Day present. Thankful for a godly mom who seeks God’s plan instead of hers. Thankful for Beth who leads us into this opportunities. I am giving 2 scholarships in honor of my sweet mom, Betty Pittman.

I was a part of your study in Norfolk. It was wonderful. I grew up in a preacher’s home and I married a preacher. My Dad passed away and my Mother has moved in with us because she has Alzheimer’s. Some days are hard and there are times when the woman living with me is nothing like my Mom. I came to Norfolk with some friends and the time together healed my soul. I teach school, I teach a web class Sunday School class for my church, I play for children’s choir. I’m a Mother and a Grandmother. My husband is on staff at FBC Richmond. I love what I do and I wouldn’t stoop to be a queen but I was running on empty. Thank you for your service and your gift, but especially for your love. I will be forever grateful.
