A Very Special Event to Us: LPL Chinle AZ for Native American Women

We have a dream that our gloriously faithful God is bringing to pass. All of us on the Living Proof-LifeWay team involved in Living Proof Live would give anything if we could just throw open the doors to our events and do them free of charge. You cannot imagine how thrilling that would be for all of us. Event costs are grossly prohibitive and the only way to cover a non-ticketed event is to take up offerings perhaps even multiple times during the gathering. If you’ve been to large events, that’s why you’ve seen one of two practices: they are either ticketed or supported by offerings. Neither way is ideal and, with God’s leadership and with right hearts and motives and godly stewardship, neither way is wrong. In our structuring, we’ve met costs through ticketing then given away as many scholarships as possible – primarily behind the scenes – so that ticket costs would not prohibit women who so desired to attend from coming.

At the same time we’ve had this deep wish to do a throw-open-the-door event, God placed a dream on another woman’s heart – one woman’s heart – who leads Bible study and ministers to Native American women in Arizona. Her great desire was to bring Living Proof Live to Chinle to sow wider seed of God’s Word into that fertile soil in order that many more would be saved, transformed by the power of the Spirit, informed about discipleship opportunities then discipled in ongoing Bible studies from that point forward.  THAT, my friends, is some kind of vision! Keep in mind, all of what I’m about to share with you was placed by God on ONE FAITHFUL WOMAN’S HEART who was willing to pray with feverish faith and believe Him wildly for the people she dearly loves. As she presented this deep desire to the LifeWay team and the LifeWay team shared it with me, our eyes grew wide and our hearts leapt in our chests. We cried out, “YES!!!!!! Our answer is yes! We don’t know how we’ll do this but Jesus will show us!”

And this is the unfolding result:

LPL Chinle, AZ is a unique one-day ministry event that will serve the Native American women among the Navajo, Apache, Hopi, Ute, and Zuni tribes.  It will be funded entirely by a scholarship program in which women from all over the country can provide a scholarship ticket on behalf of a Native American woman. Women sowing into women. It doesn’t get better than that.

Who is invited to attend this event?
Native American women living and/or working and serving on a Native American Reservation. We want so much to serve these beautiful women and sow into a great harvest of God among them that could have effects for every generation of their descendants until Christ’s kingdom comes.

Here are two ways to participate:

  1. Provide a scholarship for a Native American woman to attend.  lifeway.com/chinle ($25) AND PRAY PRAY PRAY PRAY PRAY PRAY PRAY!!!! Pray BIG. Pray BOLDLY. Pray SPECIFICALLY. We promise to give you glimpses of what God is doing that weekend through Periscope (if we have good connections) and videos and tweets. You’ll be able to keep up with the event through social media and see answers to your prayers – please Lord Jesus! – and fruit of your generosity.
  2. If you qualify to attend, reserve your free ticket!  As a Native American woman in the region, you qualify to participate just by reserving a free ticket: lifeway.com/chinle. ($5 suggested donation at the door to cover lunch)

We will gather together in the worship of our worthy and living God and in the study of His Word on Saturday, October 8, 2016 in the Chinle High School Wildcat Den.  We are believing God to do something WAY BEYOND what we could plan or ask or accomplish. Something none of us at the event will ever forget, ever get over and ever cease to see the effects of. We are powerless to make this happen. Jesus alone can do what we’re seeking. Please pray that He will. Please pray that He will show tremendous favor to this event. We want to please Him so much. No, we want to do more than that. We want to DELIGHT Him. THANK YOU, SISTERS!!!

When God’s people pray, miraculous things happen. I will be lifting up this even in prayer. I pray there will be a multitude of prayers. I am so exicted for God to move in a mighty way for and to the women of Chinle AZ. Such a wonderful thing happening for these women. May they forever be changed and look to the Lord God Almighty for all their needs. May the darkness have an explosion of light that will not be exstinguished!
Looking forward to seeing this happen.

Beth and LPM, thank you for doing this. For going to Chinle and for giving us the opportunity to be a part of this. I have loved Native American people since I was a little girl. I visited Arizona a few years ago and learned more about the Hopi and Apache and other tribes. I am so thrilled to be able to purchase a scholarship. I was moved to tears seeing the video. I will be praying for the darkness to flee and for Christ to reign over these reservations and in the hearts of these precious women. Perhaps a revival among our nation will start here! God is moving! And He lets us be a part of it…glory hallelujah!

This is spectacular! I bless you, Miss Beth and the Lifeway team for stepping out in faith for this event!

As someone who has benefited so deeply from your ministry and events AND who has taken youth groups to the Navaho reservations to do building and service projects, I am deeply touched by this vision.

COUNT ME IN as one who will donate and, most importantly, keep this event the beautiful women running it in Chinle in prayer! You are brave and loving sisters who inspire me with your vision!
Prayers also, of course for Beth and the team in this particular service this year and for the prayer team at the event (something I have so loved doing at LPL events in my region)…AND the local churches and Christian communities on the Reservations, that they would be equipped to welcome the WAVE of new Sisters who will join their folds!
I have true faith for that.

…and for the grandchildren of these women! (THAT’s when I lost it on the video!)

I am another siesta that cried through the video. I have had a heart for the Native American women of Arizona since visiting in 2011 and am so happy for the opportunity to be part of the answer to prayers.

I’m praying that MORE than enough funds are raised for all women God leads to attend the event and that some of the leftover funds could be left there in some tangible way that will bless many women for years to come. I am also praying that God will specifically put on Beth’s heart the best way to plant those extra seeds … perhaps it could be to provide copies of some of Beth’s Bible Study DVDs to Women’s Bible study leaders?

This is so exciting! Thank you! Thank you for allowing us to participate by supporting and praying for our dear sisters. This is so powerful and encouraging to see firsthand how God can move through one woman’s outlandish dream… to another’s! God WILL do a great work!

    Lori Nawrocki says:

Oh how I love God’s timing. Reading the verse of the day today. 1 Peter 3. “Wives, in the same way submit yourselves to your husbands so that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without words by the behavior of their wives.” Beth & LPM thank you for your most wonderful women’s ministry. Beth, you brought me to new understanding and passion for our LORD. I pray these precious women will be changed forever after your conference.

OMGOODNESS!!!!! I don’t have time to go into detail right now, and I don’t have *oodles* of scholarship money to give, but I am blown away by God’s divine and genius and precise timing in preparing my heart and circumstances to read this email about Chinle. I don’t cry often, but this–experiencing God’s orchestration so specifically–brought me to tears. Signed: a grown up Iowa girl whose mother’s dearest lifelong friend worked amongst and loved the people of Many Farms, AZ (14 miles from Chinle) for many years! <3 <3 <3 THANK YOU God! I have had the opportunity to attend the Eugene, Oregon presentation and HOPE you come back to Portland or even Bend, Oregon!!!!! I taught in a Native American High School in Salem, Oregon (Chemawa) in the 80’s and will provide 4 $25 scholarships for this event. I will send the money in July or August. Please send me a mailing or whatever I need to do that. I taught students from several if not all those tribes and to invest in anyway is really moving and brings tears to my eyes. This is really wonderful.I am now retired. Penny

I’m absolutely bawling. I love those precious women.
Oh, Jesus… be so great, and grand, and beautiful in their midst come October. Prepare their precious hearts now for a tidal wave of Your love and grace. May they fall madly in love with You and follow You all the days of their beautiful lives. Bless our sister, Beth, as she goes to minister your message of hope. In the mighty name of Jesus.

    LIsa Byrd says:

I am scared to think where I would be today without Living Proof Ministries and Miss Beth Moore. I live in a rural area and let’s just say, lacking for Bible teaching. I have survived by the grace of God, and my Beth Moore Bible studies and books. So I can relate to these woman on some very small scale. I have other resources…I was raised in the church with the truth. I can afford to order studies. It would be my privilege to support a few of these ladies to get the chance to fall in love with Jesus and learn about him and his love for them. Thank you LPM for letting us be a part of this with you.

    Michele says:

I am only 1% Native American. I know what addiction is like. Like the lovely woman who told of her deliverance from alcohol, I know that only Jesus can set you free. That is how I found faith in Him also. That was 1995 and I have never looked back!! Praise God! I pray that the scholarships we all give will be seed sown on good, fertile ground and save many from bondage. That it will be a sign to their families that Jesus can free you from addictions and violence. That they will be the light to help push out the darkness. In Jesus name. Amen

  22. 72
    Kristi says:

Wow. God be praised. I am honored to help bring the good news to the women there. I will also pass this on to every woman who ever did a Beth Moore study or event with me. Oh, may God throw open the Heavens and rain down his Spirit on those women! And God, I know you will give Beth the exact message those women need. Keep her close to your heart. Bless Lifeway, too, Father. And we will tell everyone of your mighty deeds! In the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.

    Pamela Swisher says:

Are Indians from elsewhere welcome? I live by the Klamath tribe in Oregon. I don’t know if I could arrange it but it would be nice to send a local woman from the tribe there.

    Teylar Greer says:

This is a beautiful opportunity to be a picture of the body of Christ – full of diversity, creativity, gifts, and graces. It is an amazing opportunity for the LifeWay and Beth Moore team to learn from and share with the community in Chinle.
I feel led to ask LifeWay and Beth Moore to consider providing this event without cost for the women in Chinle, and to use the scholarship money that has been donated to equip women to continue ministry in their community after the conference has ended.
This would be a beautiful testimony of respect, hospitality, and reconciliation – restoring broken relationships and systems to God’s original intention through the work of the Holy Spirit. This work is at the center of the Gospel.

    Jackie Flood says:

I have been very excited about this event ever since I saw it listed on the LPL calendar. My church will not only send funds for scholarships but our ladies would love to volunteer to help in any way at the event if we are allowed. We are located 3 hours SW of CHINLE and many of us have worked on the reservation. We will definitely support event in prayer from now through October 8th and after the event for the continued results that the Lord will provide.

    Jencey Gortney says:

I am a fan of Beth’s ministry. I know the gift of Living Proof ministries. I feel that it is only right to support her ministry. I would love to help but cannot do a $25.00 donation. Would it be possible to donate something smaller?

      LPM-KMac says:

Hi Jencey, We are so grateful for your desire to participate at any level towards Chinle! I am working to find a good answer to your question from Lifeway. Lifeway is the host for this event and as you probably saw, their online scholarships are currently set for the $25 amount. I hope to be back in touch with you via email next week with more information. Blessings!

we are a small group of women from Hebron, KY who have been using Beth and Pricilla’s Studies to bring us closer to God by studying His word!! We love having the opportunity to support other women to experience Beth and the Lifeway team just as some of us were able to experience here in Cincinnati, Ohio. Collectively we have been able to sponsor 10 scholarships and love the opportunity to help other women experience the enthusiasm of Beth and the team to make God’s word become alive through study and worship! God bless the team and especially Beth for having the desire to spread the word of God to make a real difference in the lives of others!! We are humbled and excited!!
