Siesta Scholarship Tickets – LPL Bossier City

Hey ladies! This post is a little different this time around as we have actually already designated our 20 tickets for this event to a special group attending. However, I do know that tickets are still being sold if you’re still interested in attending. You can purchase them here.

The LPL team is headed towards Bossier City today, so as always, prayer for the weekend is needed and received!

Also, I (Lindsee) will be attending LPL this weekend and am looking so forward to running into some of you and meeting you face to face. That’s always so fun since I see you on the other side of the computer screen every single day!

We love y’all. Have a wonderful Thursday!

    Dianne Stavropoulos says:

Several years ago, someone I considerred a dear friend, gave me a hug after Sunday Morning worship. And as we embraced, she whispered into my ear, “I saw you do something wrong this week.” Not realizing how serious she was, I answered by asking her what day of the week she saw it so I could agree with her about what I’d done.
Her response was that she had always put me on a pedastal and, bottom line, I had taken a bad tumble.
When I realized she was serious, I asked what in the world she had seen. She wouldn’t tell me but assured me it wasn’t anything “big”. To this day I have no idea what I could have done. In my heart, I believe she did it simply to hurt and by not telling me, she meant to make the hurt stick for a long time
However, God has used that incident to teach me to give to others what was denied me by this woman. Show some mercy, love and then love that person some more. And if I do see someone make a mistake, rather than accuse or even confront, pray, pray, pray for that person and just be tenacious in loving them like crazy!

So looking forward to this weekend. I know this event has been covered in prayer. Deb Douglass, the city coordinator, has been diligent in praying and enlisting many, many more to pray for one year. Now is the time to see God, as Beth says, “Show up and show out.”

1.Yes I am being accused of lying. Truth is I was so unsure of what I did that I just admitted to the accusation. Twisted yes, distorted yes. Truth is I had sold some jewelry for cash to give my nephew because Christmas was coming and my sister made his desires for Christmas known to me. Now 4 years later my sister asked for a particular piece of jewelry we are both familiar with to be returned to her. I looked through my jewelry box but it was not there. Then I recalled selling some jewelry 4 yrs ago. Tried as I did to remember I was not sure exactly what jewelry I did sell. So reluctantly I said I did not have it. After thinking about it and still unsure I decided to just tell her the truth. Well it is now 1 year later and communication with my sister has been nothing for the past 7 months because she calls me a liar. Well let me tell you, we had stored a household of items 13 years ago, my husband and I. We recently picked up those items and began to unpack. I opened picture boxes first then went to a somewhat smashed box that read crystal fragile and began to unwrap the treasured possessions I had not laid eyes on for 13 years!!! I opened a tin box that said Mother …another word for Love. And it was pint size. I began looking at the items inside of which there were 7, and to my amazement there was the piece of jewelry I admitted to selling even though I was unsure. So accusations twisted , yes, distortedYES

    2. Yes I accused 3 young women of something That was not the truth. I feel horrible and I could have lost their love. Thanks to our Dear Heavenly Father he orchestrated a healing in out lives that I am not sure a seasoned musician would attempt. Than You Lord.

    3. Confrontation the person is there first person senerio accusation, the person in question does not have to be present for accusation to take place.

Welcome to Bossier City, La! I attended Friday night LPL and Beth asked the question has anything ever happened where you know it was Jesus? Well yes, my being there was Jesus. Feeling alone and in need due to recent loss of my dad, quitting my job, selling my car in order to take care of my 82 yr old mom, I came at the last minute alone. Jesus guided me to a certain entrance and as I stood looking for a seat the usher said she had a seat for one and guided me to my seat. I sat by another lady that had come alone. My sister for the night! When I looked at the reserved seat in front of me it was my home church, Mobberly Baptist Church from Longview TX, that I have not been able to attend for 8 months. I think He put me right there for a reason. I am blessed to be attending, Lord knows I am struggling trying to care for my mother (I promised my dad I would care for her so he could pass in peace after a few months battle with lung cancer)and marital separation. It has been hard juggling and trying to make sense of life! I am so looking forward to Saturday!

Enjoying conference here in bossier city. A friend that is with me is having marriage issues and she so wants to leave her husband. Last night touched her so dearly I just pray that God will heal her marriage . She also has other family issues and she is a very depressed person and has tried to take her own life. Thank you for the way you minister to women. The way you let God use you to touch us. I struggle myself with a trap in my life. Love you and God bless you and your family.

Attended the conference this weekend in Bossier City – awesome! Thank you Beth for such a wonderful word for the women in our area. You challenged us to complete a statement and tell our story. You came right to my section on the floor, I knew I was going to raise my hand, but the lady in front of me was precious and she raised her hand. I know that it is time to tell my story, but you challenged us to complete a sentence for our testimony p, so I am sharing mine.

If the Lord had not been on my side, I would have died at the age of 15. Satan baited me into thoughts of worthlessness, loliness, darkness and brokenness. God saved me from myself and from the Accusser’s lies. “the great escape is an escape so great that only God can accomplish it.
Thank you for being such an amazing woman of God.

Please forgive my “typing errors” – that should be LONELINESS not loliness – oops!
And I forgot to put the last quote mark for Beth’s purpose. So very sorry!

What an incredible weekend!!!!!!! The message was wonderful as always, but I sat there listening Saturday morning wondering how exactly God was speaking this one in my life. The person sitting next to me can testify–we were half way through the commissioning, speaking the words over each other as Beth was leading us and WHAM! It hit me in mid-sentence. I could see those wells that I had conceded, filled with the dirt of argument, accusation, and maybe some apathy too? Definitely some disappointment. It was so clear! What a powerful weekend it was!

And I have to add a comment for Travis and his team. The last time I was in a similar conference in that same arena, likely with many of the same ladies, I left in disappointment because I never felt like I was able to really worship over all of the vocal “displays” of those leading worship. Their music was beautiful, mind you, but I didn’t feel included. I was so impressed and blessed with how often he and his team got us started on a song and just stepped back and let us worship. Those 8,000 voices were beautiful! I had prayed for God to delight me and it just seemed like that happened again and again in worship. When he suddenly launched into Great is Thy Faithfulness I nearly fell on the floor! 🙂 SUCH a great weekend!

THIS WEEKEND IN BOSSIER WAS AWESOME!!!
MY DAUGHTER IN LAW ATTENDED WITH ME AND MY SISTER. (HER FIRST BETH CONFERENCE) I WASN’T SURE WHAT SHE WOULD THINK. I KNEW SHE WOULD ENJOY IT. I JUST WANTED HER TO SEE WHY I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FORWARD TO IT FOR SO LONG. GUESS WHAT? WE LEFT FRIDAY NIGHT HEADED TO HOTEL AND SHE ASKED WHEN AND WHERE WAS THE NEXT ONE!! SHE GETS IT! SO WE ARE ALREADY PLANNING TO BE IN BILOXI!!
SHE AND I DO NOT ATTEND SAME CHURCH, SO TO BE ABLE TO WORSHIP WITH HER AND 8000 OTHER LADIES WAS AMAZING!
