LPL Duluth – A Recap!

Friends! We’re back to the Monday grind! The Lord has given us some unusually cooler weather for the beginning of June, and we in Houston are so grateful. I loved, loved, loved stalking twitter this weekend to see all the LPL updates and tweets. I think we had a handful of “original” siestas that got to attend so it was really fun to hear from them. When I say original, I just mean they’ve been around since the very beginning. We clearly love every Siesta just the same and are so grateful for the way we get to interact, but it’s kind of fun to get to see people “grow up” virtually. You know what I mean? Anyway, twitter was so fun, but what is more fun is Rich’s recap video!

For all you Duluth girls, here it is!

Living Proof Live | Atlanta from LifeWay Women on Vimeo.

Also, and this will make you all so happy, tomorrow morning be looking for a post on all things summer Bible study! We’ll be one week out and will give you all the information you’ll need. We love y’all! Have a wonderful Monday!

Thanks for posting the video! I’m a siesta, but this was my first LPL…and my very first time seeing Beth! But I can promise you,it won’t be my last! She was awesome!

Looking forward to doing the Bible study from the Peach State 🙂

I was there too! Our seats were 4 rows up from the floor! It was amazing to be so close and see Mama Beth’s face without watching the jumbotron!
What an AWESOME lesson she taught!

OK Ms.Beth, I have “observed” your “call” for decades- starting at Hyde Park Baptist Church in Austin, when I was asked to host your “talk” and luncheon- I frankly didn’t “get you”- then I heard you in Houston and you had come forward with your story- it was “over the top” and from then forward there was no doubt, I had to pay attention!!! You helped convict me that when we humble ourselves and allow God to HEAL the dark, he will show up with our “plunder”, I’m not there yet in my OLD age, but just maybe ????- Oh my Goodness – how you have inspired me- I would never have believed I would see Christ’s glory work when we “give up”- Dear, dear Sister in Christ, you amaze me and I have been touched by Jesus himself because of your courageous journey- as we Texas girls would say, My My MY – thank you for your bravery and answering the “call” to say the least- simply looking into the eyes of the precious ladies in your audiences “knocks my socks off” Blessings and blessings and appreciation and appreciation

Awesome conference! It’s always refreshing to get away for a weekend and spend quality time with God. LPL really set the stage to encourage this! Looking forward to my next conference!

Loved this LPL!! I have been to many. My first one was in Paducah Ky many moons ago. That was a wonderful time of worship with Kathy Tricoli (excuse the spelling) and Beth. I do not even know if that was LPL at that time. I have been to several over the years and I have to say this is going into the top 5. Yes–I have a list. Thank you for 15 years of speaking the Word into my life and the lives of other women. Can’t wait for the next 15 years.

The recap video is great! The weekend was so Spirit-filled! Thank you, Beth, for bringing the Word! My Mormon friend who I brought said she bet she was the only Mormon. 😉 She loved the weekend too! God answered some of my prayers for/about her. I loved seeing you afterwards with the Siestas too!!! You are such a blessing in my life!

Such a powerful weekend, full of praise and God’s Word. Thank you for all the preparation and prayer that went into it. The ceremony was especially moving and so powerful for me. I would love to have a copy of the verses used in the responsive reading and the commitment vows used during the ceremony so that I can refer to them time after time. I am thankful for your encouragement to get into the Word, and then get into the world !

Would love to have a copy of the commitments we made to our Lord in the last session of worship on Sat. in Duluth. Also want to make sure of the wording of the front & back pages we completed. I know the back page was our sacrificial offerings we presented to God but can’t remember how the front sheet was worded. Leading one of the “Anything” Bible studies this summer with GMG and want to convey some of the great teaching from this weekend into it. I have attended many of your conferences but this one touched my heart like no other!

Wow. 1 Chronicles 29:11 is the Bible verse of the day on Bible Gateway. I was watching the video and I thought, “I just read that verse.” That happens quite often to me. Guess this SSMT stuff is paying off. LOL. Love you guys and hope one day to get to an LPL in person!

Once again, a wonderful God-filled weekend. I was blessed to attend with my 4 daughters (Ages: 17 1/2, 15 1/2, 12, 8 1/2) I am praying fervently for God to take those seeds planted in their hearts and minds and water them to bring forth a beautiful harvest in their lives! We sat right down front, so there was little distraction for them. It was a deep message but oh so beautiful and I KNEW God orchestrated and ordained us to be there. It was a beautiful picture, that will forever be etched in my mind, to see my 4 daughters sitting there with me and watching that sweet 8 year old searching through scriptures, writing down things she heard and being filled with excitement to be there. She said, “I can’t wait until the next one!”
Our family has and still is going through attacks from the enemy…..lots of problems, but somehow in all of the chaos, God continues to bless, protect and bring beauty from the ashes!!!! I am trusting and leaning in to Him!
The ceremony in the last session, I don’t know if I have words for! POWERFUL! It meant so much to me! I am hoping to be able to download this event soon??? I NEED to hear the message again, I am still trying to fit all of the pieces together. I took notes, but not enough! As always, God showed up and I fell deeper in love with Him and love His servant, Beth and thank God for her and her obedience to Him! THANK YOU!!!

I have been waiting on this event for 12 years! When my granddaughter Madisyn was 4 years old I promised her that when she turned 16 I would take her to a Living Proof Live – today she turns 16! We were able to be there in Atlanta- we were beside ourselves with joy and anticipation. We came ready and left filled to over-flowing. I have been to several events over the years but this one was the one I looked forward to the most. She won’t forget it and neither will I. The message and closing ceremony was so anointed. Thanks So much Beth! Only God could have ordained that you would be in Atlanta a few days before her 16th. It’s such a God-thing. She loves you and so do I.

This weekend was amazing!! I had sisters from 4 different churches with me and from the age of 14 to 60+ ! In fact one was a brand new Christian! We had an awesome time and oh Beth, you spoke to all of us as some are leaving their church because their husband is the preacher and has been called to leave, to myself who is feeling so restless where I am. Oh Thanks to God and Lord Jesus for using Beth and Travis to give us a good word and a encouraging word. I ask God to help me with a difficult sister in church and please siestas please pray that He will help me ooze with HIs grace in all my dealings with her, to answer her with soft kind words, to show compassion and to love her as He does. Oh and my daughter Amanda was with me and this was her first conference and wont be her last!!

    JULIE REYNOLDS says:

Wow,what a time we had in DuLuth!! I am one of those “original siestas” and I attended my first LPL in 1999 and oh my WORD, God has done such mighty things! I probably say this every year, but this was such a timely word for me, for the ladies who attended with me. In all my years of being blessed by Beth’s teaching, this was the most unusual but I felt so honored to be able to be included in the throng of 8500 who were blessed to attend the sacredness of Saturday’s temple service. AMAZING!!! Only our MOST HIGH GOD could have set the plan in motion to orchestrate these events. Thank you Lord.

And by the way siestas, our own Georgia Jan was reelected Mayor Emeritus of Siestaville!!! I can not tell you enough about the way the ladies from her church loved on us this weekend!!! So Blessed!

I am not one to usually comment on a blog. But, I just have to say how grateful I am to have been a part of LPL in Duluth, GA. This was my first LPL conference. I want to say thank you for all of the hard work and preparation that goes into reaching women every weekend that a conference such as this takes place. I especially enjoyed the ceremony and plan to incorporate that into my family and how we celebrate Jesus. Thank you again for creating an environment where God is exalted and we are free to worship Him.

This was my first Living Proof Live and I enjoyed it so much! Thank you Beth, Travis and everyone. It was exciting to see liturgical worship and how it ties into the Temple worship, and it’s the way the early Christians worshipped as well–God is truly bringing us all together!

It’s my first post–I just discovered the blog (blob!) and am catching up on old posts. Does this make me a Siesta?

    Love and Christ’s Peace!

I had a wonderful time at the Duluth event. However I was stuck in the line for the bathroom right as the service was beginning. Can anyone please tell me the song that Travis sang at the beginning and was the blowing of the shofar live or a recording? I could hear it but I was not able to get back into the arena until that part was over.

    Thank you, Rose

I have been to many LPL events and most assuredly enjoyed seeing this video. It deeply ministered to me on a day I was healing from a deep betrayal full of deceit and lies. As I sobbed through it several times I sang along with Travis and allowed His Word to wash over me!!! I Chron 29:11’s Truth brought me comfort and restored my joy!!! Thank you deeply from my heart to all of you for reaching out to us who are alone in moments like these…it means more than my words can convey. xoxoxo

I just wanted to add how phenomenal a God-incidence it was with those cards you put in the programs! The lady I sat next to was talking about how she had a golden retriever, and her card had a golden retriever on it! And the lady next to her has two daughters, and there were two girls on her card. And another woman was exclaiming over her card–I couldn’t hear what about–and I opened *my* card, and it was Snoopy–this was just for *me* because I grew up with Peanuts and the Gospel According to Peanuts, Peanuts calendars, drawing Snoopy during class, making a Snoopy decoupage in art….and when Charles Shultz died I mourned, because this cultural phenomenon will be lost soon–no one will remember since there aren’t people reading newspaper funnies any more. I had been really sad that the Mall of America no longer has Peanuts but Nickelodeon….and here God sends me a love letter with Snoopy on it. This is more than a coincidence!

I have told many people that this was my #1 LPL. Been to at a dozen in the last 10 years. Is there any chance there will be a video/audio of this one? My husband came with me and he REALLY enjoyed it too. His comment was “One of the most spiritual events I’ve been to.”
