Because it’s better late than never, right?

For those of you who feared we might not post the LPL Eugene recap, no worries! We’re just doing a little shake up here on the blog this week. Grin.

Beth did a wonderful job of summing up the weekend in the previous post, so I’ll just let the video speak for itself.

Living Proof Live | Eugene from LifeWay Women on Vimeo.

We hope y’all have a wonderful weekend! Shockingly, on May 3rd, it’s a chilly 58 degrees here today in Houston. I’m not completely sure, but we might be breaking a record low for Houston this late in the spring. But lest you think we’re complaining, we’ll take it! Scorching temps are just around the corner.

Oh, and for your viewing, or rather, laughing pleasure, you all need to know I’ve reached a new low. Our sweet Beth brought some leftover cake to the office on Wednesday, so I decided to serve myself a piece yesterday afternoon for a little snack. However, I didn’t realize until I got back to my office that I had served it on my upside-down plate. No wonder the plate felt so unstable! I was beyond tickled. THAT’S how easily entertained I am. I hope you are, too! Bless my heart.

Happy weekend, y’all!

    Lindsee,

Your picture of the cake struck me two ways.

    1) At a bon voyage party we held for a friend who was leaving her work at the church to launch a church plant in a neighboring town, her oversight bought her a Red Velvet Elvis cake. I was in charge of serving the cake, and I said, “Would you like some Red Velvet Elvis?” People were cracking up and I didn’t get it at first, but then… VELVET ELVIS!!! AND…

2.) You and I would probably get along very well because I have often done things like put my piece of cake on an upside down plate!

Thanks for sharing a slice of your daily life at LPM with us & keeping us up to date on the LPL recaps. Appreciating you today!

    Blessings,
    M

What a great weekend! Our family was blessed and we have a new appreciation for “time” and our service here on earth. Thank you for your ministry.
Lindsee, that is such a nice cake presentation on the pedestal paper plate. Bringing class into the hectic life.;)

Thank you Beth and crew for coming to Eugene! It was truly a life changing and uplifting event! I was 1 of 150 women from University Fellowship that attended. Your event was my first of any Christian event that I ever attended. I’ve never experienced anything like that before, nor have I cried so much either, lol. The worship team was AMAZING!!!! I still get chills and tear up when I listen to the CD I purchased at your event. “Time” has taken on a whole new glorious meaning for me! I’m so glad you all were able to take in some of the beauty that surrounds us here. Mt Pisgah is one of my favorite places to hike! I hope you all make it back this way again someday. Until then blessings be with you all!
May Gods light continue to shine through your events and reach those seeking Him!

The scenes from Eugene give me hope. You see my youngest son Aaron and his wife Carrie and their sons Josiah and Elliott live in Eugene. I visit 3 to 4 times a year. Aaron hasn’t been to church or thought about God much for a long time. BUT Josiah. age 6, is asking questions. His gramma, me, whispers in his ears, “I love you. Jesus loves you.” So to see all those Oregonian women worshipping God ; to realize that there are LOTS of Christian women who would help Carrie find a church and then walk with her as she learns about this Jesus. HOPE!!!! Thank you Beth for all the seeds that were planted in that beautiful college town and the fruit that will grow from it.

Thank you! I so love to watch these video recaps but tonight it was like medicine to my soul. I had a bittersweet weekend and am up late trying to unwind and let go of some things I truly can’t handle. They are thorns that God seems to be allowing and they alternately prick or discourage me – of late I’m tempted to be disheartened and then angry. After pouring out my heart to God reading the Psalms, it’s such a comfort to listen and watch the Spirit of God moving as reflected in the faces of those involved in the LPL event this weekend. “I come broken” Thank you for being used of God to heal and restore!

Hey Lindsee!:) Your pic makes me smile:) As always, I loved the video!:)…I have to share with you all at LPM and the Siestas something that has happened. At our church, we are having a two week revival-focused summit. We just ended one week, and are now starting the second week. God has been doing some absolutely AMAZING things in our church already, and the best thing so far for my family happened yesterday morning. My husband has been struggling with doubts about his salvation for a long, long time. We have had conversations about it, but I couldn’t tell him one way or the other, God had to show him that for sure. Well, he realized yesterday morning that what he had wasn’t real, so he truly accepted Christ after the service was over, and they gave the invitation. I was so happy to say the least! I really didn’t know that I had been unequally yoked, but now I’m definitely not!!:) He grew up in church, and knew the truth, thought he was saved, but doubted for a long while. I gratefully thanked the LORD that he saved my husband! I wanted to share this wonderful news with you all, because you all are ever so dear to me. I love you all, Blessings to you all today!:)

Lindsee, thanks so much! It is so amazing the difference in him already, wanting to pray for me with me over my day before he leaves to go to work, and being more considerate and wanting to help more…I’m speechless, I don’t know what to say, I’m soo grateful to the Lord for His Goodness and mercy toward us.

I loved the recap! I attended the one in Greensboro and was so blessed to have that time to worship the Lord. I attended that event with a coworker of mine and we were so excited about it that we are making a special trip to Providence RI to see Beth speak again. This video just got me pumped about July. I CANNOT wait! We serve an awesome God and to worship him with so many of our sister’s in Christ is such a blessing.

I was privileged to be one of many traveling from Calif. to attend the Eugene event. It was SO WORTH it!! The Lord was magnified and the women (and a few brave men) were edified!! Thanks to all the team for their hard work and prayers – we truly benefited from them. Thanks to Beth for such a “timely” word and the worship was so inspiring! To God be all the glory!
