LPL Knoxville: A Recap

Happy Wednesday, Siestas! It looks like a ‘few’ of you were able to join Beth and the team in K-Town last weekend. Much praise to God for you and all who were able to attend the Living Proof Live in Knoxville!

Rumor has it that Miesta Travis brought a few of his peeps with him to form a choir.

Here’s Beth having a moment with the choir. No doubt she is sharing from her heart, and quite possibly also telling on Travis. He’s always a good source for material. Grin.

During worship:

From the looks of this recap, it appears you had a rich time in worship and the Word, Knoxville.  We never take for granted that the Lord speaks through His Word and blesses us with His Presence.

Without further delay, enjoy this recap video from our photographer extraordinaire, Rich.  Your Siesta Mama loves you so!

My heart is so full this morning as I read this! I can’t help but be excited for when LPL comes to Eugene, OR in the spring. Be still my heart!

May I just say Knoxville was amazing? Mama Beth brought a Word and it was good! Came home refreshed, rejeuvenated, and ready to be CREDIBLE =)

Lauren, I totally agree. What an amazing weekend, and I am honored the Lord appointed the time for all us to be there and worship Him and be in His Word.

    Melissa says:

Praise the LORD! It looks like you guys had an incredible time. I go to a small church and seeing huge groups of believers gathered together to praise God just makes me so happy. Thank you for sharing this and for your ministry!

    Amy Beth says:

I can’t believe I was less than 60 miles away and had to work. I can’t even think about it. 🙁

    Patsy says:

All I can ask is would you please come back next year or even next month if you’ve got a minute? My mama has a lot of “cred” in the cornbread making category and can make it just the way you like it, plus all that other good ol’ country food you talked about.
The whole event from the choir to Travis’s family singing, to just having you hear to teach us – I will never forget one minute of it. I always ponder your messages for many days. Just like the others, this one will not leave me the same. Changed forever.
Time goes so fast. Thanks for sharing much of yours with us.

    With much love and respect,

    Patsy

Might I say that Living Proof Live in Knoxville did not disappoint! We had such a great time. I haven’t felt that energized in a long time. Thank you all so much!!

    Kay says:

I wanted to let Beth know that I partnered with the most precious young lady named Jen at the end of the conference. I asked her if she was with the ladies seated in front of her and she told me that she came alone – from CHICAGO! She drove by herself!

I asked Jen if she had heard Beth speak before, or if had she done any of the Bible studies. She said that she had not, but she had heard about the conference and just decided to come. She told me that she was 30 years old, unmarried and a social worker at a school in Chicago. She said that she had been through a lot of ups and downs in the past few years and had not been to church.

I asked her if she knew Christ as her personal Savior and she assured me that she did. I encouraged her to look for a church near her home and get involved with Christians who could pray for and encourage her in her walk with Christ. I also gave her my card and told her to facebook or email me if she wanted. (At this point my friends were glaring at me as if I were harrassing the girl, can you believe that?) So I gave her a hug and we parted ways.

I prayed that God would give Jen a safe journey home and that the words she heard from Beth would resonate in her spirit during the long drive home! I hope you all will pray that for Jen, too.

      Kay,

You did an awesome thing taking that young girl under your wings, don’t let anyone make you feel otherwise!! I live in WI so not knowing what part of IL she lives in, I HIGHLY recommend Harvest Bible Chapel. Main campus is in Rolling Meadows. Senior pastors James McDonald, also part of Walkin the Word. AMAZING WORSHIP & TEACHING!!! If I lived closer that is where I would be going!! Hoping you can pass this info on to her. Blessings 🙂

Hey, I wish I knew her, I would’ve been her riding buddy from chicago. Also 30! If you need a chi contact to give her, me! Me! [email protected]. My hubs is a youth pastor & we know lots of great churches! How brave is she?! Thanks for being her friend. I also attended my first beth moore lpl alone. It’s nice when someone notices you 🙂

Knoxville was sooooooo In cred ible. Had the time of my life. God’s spirit truly moved and a huge blessing was felt. This was my first LPL experience. Never heard the song, IN CHRIST ALONE” now I cant quit thinking about it. I’m so thankful I’m saved by the precious blood of The Lamb.

    Joani says:

What an amazing weekend! We made the video (we are at 4:10)…yay! I took my daugther for her 10th b-day present. It was such a special girls weekend. She loved the entire event and seeing Beth at the Siesta photo. Beth even grabbed her face when she came in…the highlight of my daughter’s trip:) She was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes on Mother’s Day this year, so she certainly related to that line of her “great endurances”. It will be a weekend we never forget. Thank you to everyone who works so hard to make these events happen.

    Kristin says:

Oh dear dear Beth! THANK YOU!! I am on FIRE for the Lord and I am proud of my very hard earned CRED. The choir on Saturday morning …..I just do not have the words…if only poor Travis could sing! Or to use your words FLAT OUT TOO MUCH!!! Please come to Indianapolis, In soon …. we want you here BAD! Praying for your entire team, family and extended family.

    Can’t wait to see ya’ll on 9/15!!!

    Much much love-

I cried almost the entire final session. Each time Siesta Mama shared and then said, “I don’t know why I shared that…” I felt like it was for me. Thank you Siesta Mama for being real. And credible. I’m re-reading my notes and applying Truth. I’m owning some *things*, walking away from some *things* because I want to be credible. I love you much.

  14. 14
    Darlene Caughron says:

    Dear Beth
Just when you think the Living Proof Event couldn’t get any better!! This one was just FLAT OUT great!! You will never know how the Lord spoke to me in so many ways. That had been my prayer for this event that the Lord would give Beth the word we all needed and did he ever. And of course Travis and the Praise Team were outstanding. I left with such a greater love than ever for my LORD!!!
God bless you Beth and my prayers are with you always!!!

    Shannon M says:

    Dear Mrs. Beth,

I’ve got to share with you something funny that happened at Bible Study. We are wrapping up the Revelation study (LOVE IT)and we had to use a different room in the church and therefor a different t.v. For some reason the t.v. made you stretched out a bit. Just a bit taller and thinner. I was explaining the distortion to the ladies and one of the ladies said “I’d just feel a little better if it would make her shorter and fatter!” Thought that was too funny and worthy to share! Ha! Hope this makes you grin!

  16. 16
    Zoey says:

LPL Knoxville was just what I needed to be refreshed and to endure!

Might I ask, though, how do we get the siesta picture we got to take with our fellow siestas and siesta mama!?

  17. 17
    Debbie says:

Could we please have the words we spoke for Beth’s blessing at the end? Thanks so much!

  18. 18
    diana says:

My Mom and I were there and were so blessed by the presence of God and your message and the music!!
Will you please post the ending prayer that we said to each other~ I would love to have a copy of it!!
thanks~ I pray for you all daily!!

    Angie Williams says:

Beth you have Cred!!!! I thank our Lord for you and your enthusiasm, honesty and lovable nature. You are a true Blessing to us as your Siesta’s and women as a whole but also to God. I am sure that he is leaning back on his throne just smiling at your love for him. It shows!!!!Thank you so much.
I pray for continued strength for you to share the Gospel. I was awe struck at listening to over 13,000 women singing praises in Knoxville and would attend every day to listen to it again. It still sends chills through my body just thinking about it. Travis is a fabulous worship leader. I went with my church group of 10 women and one of them brought her newborn and we deemed ourselves 10 Ladies and a Baby. LOL. I am looking forward to you and your team coming back into the area. Thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Cor 15:57

    Lynn says:

What a joy to worship with Travis and the team and learn from the Lord through Beth! My friend and I were overjoyed to be front row, the closest we have ever sat. My friend, Trena, told our friends who did not come with us that 1. They missed a blessing and 2. We were within spitting distance of Travis and Beth. Regardless of where anyone was seated the Holy Spirit was present and lives were changed including ours.

Beth, do not be ashamed about growing up on brown beans and cornbread. Those are staples in many of our homes in the south. By the way, in east Kentucky, where I grew up, Central Kentucky where I now live, and I’m sure in east Tennessee they are called soup beans but I lived in Arkansas long enough to know exactly what you meant.

We can’t wait till next year – Atlanta or Charleston or both!

  23. 23
    Melanie says:

I just have to say WOW … I am SOOOO blessed to have been there. HIS Word brought through Beth … amazing … still mediating on all the great Word. Hearing all the voices worshiping and praising Him was awesome! Thank you Jesus for such times as these!

    Donna says:

I lived in K-town for 27 years. I miss it! It was so good to see the crowd that attended. I praise God that Beth and all who were with her were able to bless the believers there in Knoxville. 🙂
    AMEN!!!

  25. 25
    Rosemary says:

I had a wonderful time in K-town! Decided to go at the last minute and stay with a friend. God used Beth and Travis to give me a Word and I’m so grateful! It was an amazing experience. I told Travis’ wife the last time Beth was in Knoxville she told us Amanda was pregnant with Jackson!! I still remember how excited she was! Thanks again LPL ministries!!!

  26. 26
    Joyce Watson says:

Wow! How does that feel to see how awesome and amazing God is in such a precious ministry?…it has to be very overwhelming! love all of you in Christ

I’m so glad I came this past weekend. I have had a different kind of week this week too, I think it is a chance to live out what I learned last Fri and Sat. I have thought about last weekend quite a bit and what stuck with me the most has been when Beth talked about the hard work a credible faith requires. Also, that God’s grace is there for the appropriating in our daily lives as believers. That was one of two things that Beth said that she didn’t know had been already spoken over me on that Thursday night before the event…she referenced Phil. 1:6 and she spoke of God’s grace. My women’s class leader said super similar things to our class that thurs night before the event! Amazing how He works…Love you all at LPM, and I’m praying for the other events this year.

    Marcy says:

What a sweet weekend of fellowship! Knoxville was so blessed by the LPL event and personally, I can’t thank God enough for people like Beth that answer God’s call and pour into other peoples lives.

and lastly….”The Gospel can’t be spread if you ain’t got no Cred!!!” 🙂

    Niki says:

My sister and one of my best friends from college trekked the hills and valleys of the UT campus to receive the good Word God sent to us through Beth and the whole LPM team. We were not disappointed! Come back soon.

    Darlene Jenkins says:

The ladies in my small group were so blessed to attend this event. Love that Beth Moore!!! We are not planning a Beth Moore study in our homes. In order for us all to fit this into our busy schedules, we will be holding it at 7 a.m. on Saturday mornings!!! Coffee, Beth Moore and getting into the Word. It doesn’t get any better than that!!! God bless.

    Kristi S. says:

I loved this event. God used Beth to speak directly to me.
The reserved seating isn’t fair. If this is what is going to happen all seats should be assigned not just those of 50 or more. I have driven 6 hours to see Beth. I can’t get 50 people to do that. We shouldn’t be punished for taking off work and staying at a hotel for the events. If churches wants to sit together; let everyone. Sell assigned seats.

      Kristi says:

I do not want this comment to take away from the conference. The lesson was amazing and still has me trying to do what Beth taught. She was wonderful. The best lesson I have heard. It so applied to my life right now.
Beth’s teachings and bible studies have definitely changed my love and I praise God and thank Beth for it.
I just don’t like over half the seats being reserved. It should be an all or none thing. It puts me in a questionable position on getting to know this upcoming year. I am not going to know 50 people to go out of state.
I know God will take care of this. His will will be done as it should be. I am just saddened by some of the ansers I received from LifeWay employees in Knoxville.

      • Lindsee says:

Hi Kristi, I am so sorry you are disappointed and I want you to know that I hear you and understand completely. However, in my very small knowledge on this because we here at LPM do not make the conference decisions, I think the goal is saving seats for larger groups so they can all attend together. Again, I hope you hear my heart on this as I hear yours! Unfortunately, we here don’t have any control over that, but thank you for letting us know. Blessings!

    Bobbie McKenzie says:

What a fabulous time praising and worshipin the Lord in Knoxville. I was in awe of the presence of the Lord. Thanks to everyone who was a part of making the weekend so wonderful.
    Here’s the thing:
After being “high” on the Lord for two days following the conference, my life has started falling apart. I feel like I have been HIT with everything Satan has available, I need prayers.

    Caryn Hodge says:

Beth, I have just discovered you by way of a woman’s study at my church in Anna Maria Island in Florida and am delightfully obsessed with learning more about you and your teachings. I see that you will not be coming to Florida anytime soon so I plan to get one of your books in the meantime. We are studying Esther and will continue with Daniel and Nehemiah. Which one of your books would you suggest to start with as a new believer but avid sponge of a student. Thank you and God Bless you in your travels!

    Rachel in Arizona says:

Looks like a great time in Knoxville. I was thinking, since Siesta is the slang for sister/ sista, shouldn’t Travis be called a Broesta? 🙂

  35. 35
    Shayne says:

6 years ago, God worked a miracle in my life and allowed me to see my mother and father bend their knees and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour.

It was one of the most precious times of my life. So to get to go to an LPL event in my hometown with my mom…to watch her lift her hands in worship and to hear her pray over me…words just cannot describe.

Beth and Travis and e’erbody…as far as I’m concerned you can come back any old time you want. You can even bring the chicken purse and I won’t mind one bit.

  36. 36
    Kay says:

yippee, can’t wait for Friday. My 16 year old daughter and I are going to Charleston “for a word from God”. My Molly doesn’t know what to expect. I didn’t either the first time I was at LPL. I am praying that she can see beauty come from ashes. (smile)

    Denise says:

Hi! Just visited the http://www.lproof.org site and started clicking around. I noticed that the bios for Beth and Curtis are a bit dated, so I just thought I’d let you all know. Have never been to a Living Proof Live before but all the comments are making me eager to do so. Hope to see one scheduled for Atlanta soon!

    Pat from Kansas says:

Is everything alright in Siesta-ville? I miss seeing/hearing current on goings. Just figured Siesta mama is really busy.
Just finished the James study and got a little way into Chapter 1 for memorizing. My mind doesn’t work like it used to!
    Hope all is well.

    Beth says:

I was confident that God would speak to us at Knoxville & did He ever! He specifically answered a prayer of mine with this – “Study & I’ll show you.” I love to study, but I feel He’s calling me deeper. The enemy has done everything possible to keep me from that. I’m having to fight hard to get to it & I haven’t been very successful so far. Study. I want to. I need to. I know there’s power there. Where do I fit more of it in? Jesus, help me! I want to increase my cred!

Heading for Charleston this morning with two girlfriends.
Looking forward to being in the presence of God with Beth Moore and lots of Christian women. Praying for a mountaintop experience and revival in my soul. Light the fire in my soul, Jesus!
