Charleston LPL – Scholarship Ticket Giveaway

Update: Siestas, I just wanted to inform you that each of our 20 tickets have been spoken for. Be blessed, ladies!

Good Thursday morning, ladies! It has been busy around here, but really, you are thought about nearly every second of every day. I’m hoping to have a fun post up tomorrow!

However, before we do that, I wanted to bring your attention to LPL Charleston today. Thanks to the Siesta Scholarship fund, we have 20 tickets to give to those of you that would love to attend the conference this weekend, but just don’t have the funds to make it happen. So, if this is you, please call our office toll free at 1.888.700.1999 during regular business hours (8:30 – 4:30 CST) and ask for Kimberly Meyer. If you happen to reach us while we’re at lunch, leave a message and Kimberly will get back to you.

And as always, Beth, Travis and the entire LPL team covet your prayers as they head that way this very day. Pray that the Spirit would fall fresh on that city. Thank you so much, girls. You are priceless around here, as are your prayers. We love you!

I know you will all be a blessing in Charleston, aka “The Holy City”, this weekend! I used to call it home and y’all might be wanting to by the end of the weekend. You are about to enter a place where the women LOVE their Lord… I’ll be praying for y’all as some of my dearest friends will be there.

    Beth,
I want to thank you for your obedience to God’s call on your life. This side of heaven, and maybe even on the other side, you may never know how mightily God has used you to touch people and change lives.
My life was forever changed when I studied Breaking Free. Wow!!! My life was spiraling out of control and God used that study to help get me on my face before him so he could forever change me. I know that that study came from your own battles with bondage so it was received by me because I knew that you had battled and come out on the other side. It gave me hope!
I have done many other studies of yours and they have all left an indelible mark on my life and my walk with Christ.
Last year on Aug 31st my husband lost his job of 23 yrs. I had just spent the summer laid up with a broken ankle from a car wreck. I had agreed with my boss to go back to work part time the previous week. You see, I missed my Weds morning Bible study, the one where we studied so many of your lessons, and I wanted to go back to join my sisters. Then John lost his job. My boss said that I could reconsider my decision. I told him that I had spent the summer praying about this decision and that God knew John was going to lose his job so we were going to trust God and stand on Romans 8:28 ( our family verse ). We the first study we did that fall was Jonah, Life Interrupted by Priscilla Shirer. Guess what was next? Yup, James by you and your daughter. God just kept reaffirming that He was In control and that we just needed to trust Him. We vowed that we would go wherever He called us to go and that we would serve Him faithfully. In April John got a job here in Charleston, SC. I quit my job in May to join him here in our little corporate apt while we sell our house in Greenville,Sc. I knew that you were coming to SC. We have been attending Seacoast church since we got here. The tough thing about moving someplace new in May is that most small group Bible studies break for the summer. I was having trouble connecting. I didnt want to go to LPL alone or with strangers so I wasn’t going to go. Well God had other ideas. A friend from Greenville had an extra ticket and invited me to go with her and 5 other ladies that I knew.
I NEEDED to be reminded to not give up hope, to remember that God is ALWAYS good even when He is asking us to wait on Him. I needed the fresh word that God gave you to speak. I needed the worship that God empowered Travis and the worship team to lead. Not just me, but the other 9000+ women and the few men that were there, needed those things as well. God refreshed me. He even led me to meet a couple of ladies from Seacoast who invited me to join their small group. God is SO GOOD. He loves us just as we are, but too much so to leave us there.
I remember you talking about not giving up on God too soon. I did that once. It nearly destroyed me, my marriage, my family, everything. I gave up too soon. Breaking Free helped me get free from the bondage of sin and the sins perpetrated upon me as a child. Today I stand faithfully proclaiming that my God is GOOD, FAITHFUL, TRUE, WORTHY OF PRAISE. but not for the grace of God I could not write this to you today. I don’t even know if you will read it, but that’s okay. I felt led to write it and to thank you. Thank you for inspiring me to love our Savior with great abandon and passion.
Beth, I don’t color my hair because my stylist says that it is too pretty. I don’t know about that. I do know that I’m getting more gray by the second. I hope that you will still count me as a friend and sister ( even tho you joked about that on Sat).
Until we meet in eternity may the Lord bless you and keep you. May his face shine upon you and give you peace. May he multiply your efforts for the kingdom. Be blessed dear sweet sister.
Thank you from a former pit dweller.

I was at Charleston,I want to share a very special moment that I experienced. Friday when Beth ask us to turn in our Bibles to Genesis, the soft sweet sound of the 9000 + pages turning to the scripture sounded like soft rain and I thought, oh God You are falling on us. And He did in a powerful way all weekend. Oh, thank You Lord and thank you Beth and all LPL team.

Amazing weekend and it was amazing to see God work and answer prayers. I had not “felt” God in sometime and had let go in a lot of ways…but boy did I grab on feel him this weekend and watched the prayers get answered right through Sunday! He is so good…ALL THE TIME!
Looking forward to coffee with you the other side of heaven as we share about our grandchildren (and maybe great grands by then)! May God continue to bless you and your ministry as you speak into the hearts of many!
