A Weekend Wrap-Up and a WINNER!

Update: Here is the recap video, ladies. Rich did an exceptional job on this one! He really did pour his heart into it and it did not go unnoticed. Thank you so much, Rich!

Good Monday morning, sweet friends!

I sure hope the start of your day was a sweet one and that it’s only a reflection of your week to come. We could all use a good Monday here and there, couldn’t we? I know Monday is not typically a favored day of the week, but let’s give today a chance, shall we? What is one thing you’re looking forward to today? Or this week? Let’s hear it!

I happen to be attached at the hip to my phone because on this very Monday, my very best friend since the womb (I mean that seriously, I’ve never not known her), is delivering her first born baby girl. I am beside myself with ecstatic joy (shout out to Austin LPL!) and cannot wait to meet her and hold that little love!

We here at LPM had a FULL weekend! Most of the staff and a handful of our precious volunteers packed up and took a road trip to Austin for Living Proof Live. Is there a better way to bond with someone other than a road trip? I submit that there is not. We laughed, we worshiped, we studied, we cried and we got a WORD. Boy, did we get a Word. Often times we can hear a good Word and let it slip in one ear and out the other, but I’m praying this takes root and bears fruit. (I really didn’t mean to rhyme, but I like it so I’m leaving it. Insert cheesy grin.)

Besides getting to be with the 7500 ladies, another highlight was getting to meet about 72 of you! It felt fast and furious, but it was so fun. Getting to lay eyes on you in the flesh is so surreal. You exist outside of our computers. Praise the Lord!

As the trusty media assistant, I took all of two pictures this weekend.

Here is about half of the staff on our way to Austin! Sherry, our beloved chauffeur, believes in safety first so she decided not to turn around and smile and we were grateful. Also, no road trip is complete without Starbucks or gum.

And here is our beloved Siesta Mama teaching on Saturday morning! Note the Texas flag in the background. I was tempted to blur everything else out of the picture except the flag. But I refrained. You  might think Texans are proud if I did that. (Note: These are all iPhone pictures. Forgive the poor quality should you choose to enlarge the picture. Again, trusty media assistant always aiming to please.)

While we were busy taking notes, y’all were busy commenting away! So, lest you think I forgot about our giveaway, I did not!

Drum roll please…

Our lucky winner (thank you, random.org) of The Law of Law Lecture study is…Kathryn Bechtel!

Congratulations, Kathryn! Your comment was precious. If you’ll send me your mailing address at [email protected] we’ll get it to right away!

A lot of you were curious if you could purchase The Law of Love. Yes! Yes you can!

You can pre-order a copy through LifeWay here. It should be made available by August 1st.

You can also purchase the digital downloads through our Living Proof website here.

Once I get the LPL video recap from Rich, I’ll post it as well. I mean really, no LPL weekend wrap-up would be complete without a recap video!

Y’all are simply the best. Thank you for letting us serve you. Seriously, it is a joy! We love YOU.

I know I’m a bit late in responding (although I read the post Monday, I didn’t get to watch the recap video until this morning :), but…

Rich ABSOLUTELY outdid himself!!! The beautiful mixture of video and still photos and changing the pace according to the music~so very cool!

I hopped over to see the siesta pics from Austin and peeked at a few others as well…it does not surprise me, Beth, that if there’s a baby in the photo it is in YOUR arms! They are so sweet!!

No LPLs are close to me this year, so I’m contemplating doing the simulcast (either with my church or just a small group), but the live in person aspect as opposed to just being live holds me back…any comments from past simulcast participants? Thanks ahead of time!

I was so blessed to be able to attend this event. It just so happened that I was visiting my aunt that week. I live in Kentucky and teach music at Fort Knox. Someone decided not to go and boy was I glad to receive her ticket. It was an experience I will never forget! We were on the second row and my Aunt’s sweet face and the back of my head was on the video! Thank you so much for the wonderful weekend! I am refreshed, renewed and ready to face those middle schoolers in a few weeks!

I was so, so blessed to be in attendance at LPLive event in Austin last weekend. My mom originally had the ticket and then was traveling. I was the lucky receipient of her ticket. She was devastated she couldn’t go and I was blesed because I could. God knew who needed to be there and it was me. I was so blessed by His words, meant for me, spoken by you. I am 31 years old (I promise that you and my mom would be BFF and I would be BFF with your girls…just sayin’) and my husband and I have not been able ot have a child together due to infertility. We have struggled with this for years and it takes it’s toll. While I trust God and His infinite wisdom and His perfect timing I still have my moments. Moments where I feel sadness so deep in my soul that I might not ever have a child with my husband. Feeling that God truly created me to be a mother…it’s my biggest dream in life. While He keeps me wrapped so tightly in His peace and comfort most of the time, sometimes I have a moment of weakness and flesh, and Satan pounces. He tells me how sad it is that my very best friends all have children the same age. And that they are getting older and older each day…and they probably won’t be friends with my kids because the age difference will be so great. He tells me my friendships have changed because they have children to take care of now and I don’t. He tells me all kinds of lies. I was having such a “down cast” moment last week. And I sat there in that center surrounded by the Holy Spirit and I felt God renew my spirit. Renew my trust in His plan for my life, renew my trust in His plan for our family, and promise me victory in Jesus. God is good. He is worthy of my praise, my full trust and my love. I am so grateful that He uses people like you, Beth, to speak His truth and to seek His wisdom so that lives can be changed and renewed.

    XOXO,
    Tiffany

This was an amazing weekend for me. I have a friend in Austin that I met thru the Daily Audio Bible website. We had never met in person till this past weekend. Several months ago I mentioned how I wanted to go to LPL in Kansas City but couldn’t financially afford it at the time. When she mentioned it would be in Austin, I told her she had to go, that she would be so blessed and inspired. Little did I know what God had in store for me.

About 3 weeks ago, my friend Jenna mentioned that her sister was not able to go with her to the LPL conference. She said she would love if I could come, but there wasn’t any way I could afford a plane ticket to Austin. She then offered to get me a buddy pass plane ticket since her dad is a pilot. She arranged for the plane ticket; I was able to make arrangements to get the time off work. God arranged every detail of this trip, even when my first flight Friday morning was cancelled.

I had NO idea what God had in store for me at LPL. He delivered a WORD for me that weekend. And as if He wanted to make sure I got it, He had the pastor at church on Sunday speak on one of the same things Beth touched on as well. He had a message for me that He wanted to me to hear loud and clear. And I GOT it!

I also had a sweet time with a brand new friend. God is using her to speak truth into my life and show me His love. What an awesome weekend. Thank you to everyone at LPL for all the work that goes into these conferences. You have no idea how much it blesses those of us who get to attend.

The video is so great! I love that March On! is the song. After the SSMTC in January, that was my favorite and to hear it again with another group of fantastic women was priceless! It was great to get our angry prasie on (even though Travis didn’t introduce it that way this time)!

Several of the ladies I went with would like to know if there is anyway we could get copies of the pictures that were taken; we are the pink group right at the beginning of the video! Thanks Rich for the recap – it really captured the spirit of the weekend…were you there? Are you the photographer too??

Miss Beth, thanks for being so real. One of the newbies in our group was inspired by your openness, real-ness, and humbleness… are those even words?! She noted that not only are you a fabulous teacher, but you are so humble, and it really comes across in your teaching. Thank you for that, thank you for putting God first! You, dear Seista Mama, ARE Living Proof!

Is there any way to obtain a copy of the prayer Beth led us in at the closing? It was so emotional for me and my friend, I can scarcely remember what we prayed.
    Thank you.

Janet, I agree, it was very emotional for me and my friend too. Please, please, please, post a copy for us.

Hebrews 4:12 – For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

      I am Living Proof!

Beth, I live in Edmond, Oklahoma and two buddies of mine from Oklahoma City and I drove to Austin for the conference. We go if you are anywhere CLOSE to us. As usual, it was wonderful. We love you so much and so appreciate your ministry. You always lead me off in a direction I could never have imagined on my own. I am a major groupie and have been for the past 8 years or so! And I have everything Travis has turned into a CD! We were standing at the doors at 4:00 and only the workers were there, a few of those. And a storm blew up and soaked us to the skin and we had to go back to the hotel and start all over again, but we still got on the floor on the front row, so we were happy. All 3 of us are in our mid 50’s and so relate to you. My husband even loves to watch your DVDs, so I bought the Law of Love DVDs at the conference. Thanks again for all you do for His kingdom!! Love you so much and am so grateful for what you have taught me!!!!!

This has nothing to do with this post, but last night as I was getting ready to do my homework (Fruit of the Spirit) I picked up my bible and book guess what I found sitting on my copy of “Praying God’s Word”? A Teeny Tiny Praying Mantis! LOL! What are the odds of that? He was so adorable! I picked him up and took him outside and let him go onto a bush, but first he crawled around on my hand to my wrist and stood on my watch just looking around for a minute without a care in the world! Hahaha! Just wanted to share that! Love you all!
