How About a Livestream Devotional Tomorrow? Want to?

It’s been too long, Sweet Things! Let’s hop on line for a livesteam devotional tomorrow at 11:30 AM CST. Want to? I’m hoping to hit many of your lunch hours so it could be a tad more convenient.

This one can be open to anyone so you’re welcome to invite women to join us who aren’t regulars in our community. I’ll look so forward to visiting with you then!

Remember, if you hop on there early: the password is up there while we get set up but it comes down a few minutes before we air.

I wasn’t able to join you live, but just got finished watching right now. Wonderful word today Beth. I really needed to hear this today – even the explaination that our soul knows, even when we don’t quite know what our afflication is. I have been struggling with something for a few years now – something that came out of the blue and turned my world upside down. I have been continually climbing out of my “affliction”, but it still lingers. For me, defining something helps me understand and conquer it. After hearing this message I am turning once again to my Abba Father, pouring out my heart anew.

    Thank you for your video.

Sorry I had to miss this livestream today, but I was substitute teaching just north of the IL border, in Beloit, Wisconsin.

And, strangely enough, it was nice and dry enough for the children to be outside for recess at the noon hour; however, by 2:15 p.m., snow began coming down like a BLIZZARD ! ! ! And, it has not stopped snowing yet !

    In Christ’s Love,

    Dear Beth,
I am so glad you left that livestream up I watched it just afew mins ago and it really did speak to my heart. You are so right about all that afflictions can do. You are also so right in that the only thing that gets us on the other side of it is God’s Word. It is the ointment for a bruised soul.
I was so afflicted for so many years with depression and mood swings. Alot of it happened when I lost Mom and happened to be going through menopause at the time and that made it such a time of turmoil for me. I do not do well with losses and this has been my area of greatest vulnerability. Then with going through the betrayal of a loved sister and having her and my father turn against me and even at one point having me thrown in jail innocently, man it was rough. Forgiveness came and delivered me from that affliction and though I never was able to talk to my father again. I am ministereing to my sis now as she battles cancer. I had a brief time of being above the depression and fear but this year started out agian with me tending to my litle pet dog who was always right next to me in my depressed tormented mind. She would always scoot her sweet little body up against me as I cried. Well she is dying of cancer and to see her go will be so hard. Then just afew days ago a dear sister and a mentor to me in our tiny church went home to be with the Lord. All these things are triggering this fear of loss again. I can feel the fear starting to creep in again and even some doubt and I know all negativity comes from the enemy of our souls. You are right on again when you talk about us being fruitfull in our afflicitons and this is gona make our afflictions turn into blessings. I am so glad the Lord laid that on your heart to share with us today. I want to get to the other side again where I can say it was good to be afflicted. I pray that for you too. Sometimes the healing comes in raindrops as the new song Blessings which was released sometime last year states. The deliverence does not always come as a rainbow. Bless you Beth. Some day we will rejoice in our affliction but it may not be on htis side of Paradise. Love, Betty M PS I am praying for you even as I write these words!!!

Our God is Awesome and Amazing! I had been praying through an “affliction” just a few hours before the livestream. I didn’t have any resolution but I had some direction. Then came your devotion on Psalm 25. I had never used the word “affliction” for what I deal with. The definition you shared that included “mental torment” as well as your personal struggle really helped. The ESV “enlarged in my heart” was the perfect description for what I have been experiencing over the past few weeks. It is amazing how just a few words of clarity can begin to bring peace. Thank you for being faithful to share what God places on your heart. I am a grateful siesta!

    Mrs. Beth,

God really used your devotional to speak to me in this season. He brought comfort and understanding–and from Psalm 25? I have been hear recently crying out to Him from it. In a few minutes of quiet time this morning, He brought me to 2 Corinithans 4 (Amplified version):

“16 Therefore we do not become discouraged (utterly spiritless, exhausted, and wearied out through fear). Though our outer man is [progressively] decaying and wasting away, yet our inner self is being [progressively] renewed day after day.

    Verse 17 (amplified), really resonated,

“17 For our light, momentary affliction (this slight distress of the passing hour) is ever more and more abundantly preparing and producing and achieving for us an everlasting weight of glory [beyond all measure, excessively surpassing all comparisons and all calculations, a vast and transcendent glory and blessedness never to cease!],”

It’s only a momentary affliction–a slight distress of the passing hour–and it is being used for eternal purposes. Only God.

Thank you for saying that “in order for our affliction not to result in our destruction, we must fight.” So often I feel like giving up. Perseverence–the theme of my devotion this morning from the February In Touch magazine from Dr. Charles Stanley. Paul pressed on (2 Corinthians 4) through many afflictions–may it be so with us through the Holy Spirit of Jesus.

Thank you for taking the time to share with us. God be praised.

    Love,
    Taylor

I was all set and waiting for Beth’s word to us. Tried staying with you but just had to get off – so sorry to have missed part of it. The frustration of the Tom guy with his spam and the constant run of chat on the side bar, maybe I’m too old for this. Is it necessary to have the chatting going on while Beth is talking? Am I the only one who finds it distracting? Anyway, Beth and Melissa, my group has our last session in James on Tuesday and we’re all going to cry when it’s over. I have been in Beth Moore’s studies for 15 years and this one has reached me to the core! Melissa, you are a treasure and I can’t wait to see what God has store for you in the future! Thank you so much and I continue lifting all of you at LPM in my prayers. I love you Beth Moore and now I’m loving Psalm 25!!

This was my first live stream to experience and experience it I did! The Lord’s precious words and touch were presented through you and they met me right there in my office. Thank you from someone who needed them! I pray for your strength, health, and blessings everyday and I thank God for using you to teach me so much.

    Beth,
I enjoyed the livestream the other day. We are studying Daniel this semester at FBC Grand Prairie and I was glad to make the connection to Daniel 3 in the discussion about affliction. I will be using some of the notes I took in an upcoming session with the college ministry I lead. Thanks so much for taking time out of your day to prepare and then share with us what is on your heart. I am blessed!

I just want you to know Melissa, that because of the devotional your mom did with us a couple weeks before she went to Australia, I asked our women’s Bible study (studying James) to pray for Beth. I knew she needed our support. Besides individual prayers on our own time, we took time at the Bible study to pray as a group for her.
I have studied 7 of Beth’s Bible studies. I don’t know what I would have done without her. Those Bible studies have challenged me, informed me, enlightened me, encouraged me, and pushed me forward. We are truly blessed by her ministry.
