Tuesday Night Bible Study

Houston ladies! In case you haven’t heard, we wanted to let you know that we start Bible study tonight!

Beth has been studying and preparing for this very night as we plan to journey through the book of Deuteronomy together for the next six weeks.

We’ve been out of Tuesday night Bible study for quite some time now, so needless to say, we are so excited to get this semester started!

Are any of you planning on joining us?

Also, if you are a young woman who is 18 – 25 and are planning on coming, please let me (Lindsee) know by clicking on this website and filling out some information. We’ll be having a special, short meet-up after Bible study for you ladies and I’d love to meet you!

We so appreciate your prayers for Beth as she prepares and teaches, the staff as we desire to serve with excellence, and for every lady in attendance. We cannot wait to see you!

Is this study going to be accessible here as well or is this post just to inform those can plan to attend in person in Houston? Blessings!

Hi Karen, this is just an informative post for those in Houston, however, we will capture and review possibilites for reproduction but will not know until the final taping and review – around April! So be looking back then to see if it will be made available. Blessings.

    Hi Lindsee,

While this is not a comment/question about the Tuesday Bible studies, I am wondering if you can answer a quick question for me….

Is Beth going to do the Siesta Scripture Memory Verse challenge again? I have a friend who is partnering with me this year and we are going to do it together (even if Beth isn’t going to host it again). But I haven’t seen anything on the blog about it, so I was just wondering. 🙂

    Thanks!
I REALLY wish I could be there in Houston for the studies!

    Have a blessed day,
    Amy (Washington D.C.)

Hi Amy! We are not doing it again this year on the blog, but we are encouraged to hear you’re doing it with your friend. Keep it up, Sister, and look back in 2013 when we’ll most likely pick it back up.

      Laurie says:

Amy… my girl friends and I have missed the SSMT so much that we created a page on Facebook. We add our verse every 1st and 15th! 🙂 I sure do miss all of you!

    Sharon says:

Goodness… do you think I could talk my husband into flying me out every Tuesday night from Alabama? I so very much HATE to miss! I do have my own studies going on. But if you could see me now, you’d see me green!!!!

      Shawna says:

I feel the same way Sharon! My daughter and I just returned from the SSMTC last weekend and I think my daughter would move to Houston just for this! It’s a long commute from Boise, Idaho.

      • Sharon says:

I’ll drive!!!!!!!…. I’ll swing by and pick you up on the way!!! 🙂 Oh, what fun, Shawna!! I so wish we could!!!!!

I missed the SSMTC last weekend. And then paid, but MISSED also the simulcast of it. It made me so sad! I was moving my daughter out of town (hold on to them TIGHT while they’re still home!), and that decision was already made with that choice. Maybe next time? I love how God uses Beth and the whole LPM team to bless His chosen girls!

It’s nice to meet you, Shawna, your comment made me smile. 🙂

      • theharbormom says:

Shawna, we’ll have to hold out for the Living Proof Live event in Boise this year (May 18 and 19!). I won’t be commuting from the Washington to Houston, either.

    Michele Bone says:

I wish I could attend! : ) I tried to talk my husband into letting my fly back and forth every week! LOL He laughed. Said I could come one week! Oh well….I tried!
However, I will be praying for Beth as she shares God’s word, for the LPM staff as you are available to minster to women and give of your love and time, and for all of those ladies who are able to attend, I know they will be blessed!!!

This is off topic, but I wanted to say THANK YOU to the siestas who prayed for me for my law school grades. I have gotten some back and they are at least not terrible. I’ve been working so hard, but law school is definitely challenging! Hope the event tonight goes well~

However, I am just very thankful for whenever LPM hosts it. My prayers are with Beth, the entire LPM staff, Lisa,(all the wonderful Praise Team) and us ladies who will be there drinking in God’s Word and giving HIM some Praise.

I have been thinking all day long how I could commute from Missouri to Texas each week. So far no go. 🙁
But, I’m planning to memorize 2 John on the off year, 2012.
Thanks so much LPM for a life changing weekend. My SIL and I are making plans for 2013 and praying for God to lead us to two women he wants to join us.

Sorry – I hope it’s ok to post a question freedom the SSMTC here. Thank you for a wonderful time in Christ at the celebration. I’m still soaring. I missed one of the scriptures in my frantic attempt to take everything down in notes. Does anyone remember where the scripture is where Beth talked about if we let the enemy keep pushing us back we will fall? Love it, but cant find it! Thanks, and a special love to you all!

      Lindsee says:

Hi Cheryl! She referenced Ps. 118:13, which I think is the one you’re referring to, and then talked about pushing back our enemies with Ps. 44:5. I hope that is helpful!

      • Cheryl, Austin says:

        YOU’RE AWESOME! Thanks so much!!!

      • Susan says:

Hi Lindsee. I missed the first two sessions, since I did not know about it (fixed that!) but I was also wondering how we might be able to get the first two filled out worksheets from the sessions I missed? Thankyou for your help.

Oh, Beth, it was so good to get back to the Tuesday night Bible study last night! After reading all the comments from gals who wish they were closer to Houston, I feel so blessed to be a part of it! Our small group was very excited about starting up again. We too are studying Deuteronomy in our Bible study classes on Sunday mornings, and two in our group are teachers. I wish we had been able to have Deuteronomy last fall.

Thank you and God bless you for all you do for women of all ages who are seeking God’s best for their lives.

So bummed that I am scheduled to work every Tuesday evening this semester, and really bummed that there are no make-up sessions. This is one time I could really use it. I will still try to come on some days to pray with our Tuesday Night Bible Study prayer team though just before I head to work at 6:15. Miss them so much!!!

    Janet Fountain says:

Can you attend the Bible Study if you are only traveling through Houston??? I am 67 – is that too old? I am studying James with you in Florida at this time and I love it as I love all of your studies. You are such a gift from God and he has placed you in a big, big corner of this world to reach. I pray for you many times every week and thank God for you. Thank you…what insights?? I am so in awe of how God reveals his word to you and often speaks it to women who needed to hear that word including myself. I am married for 47 yrs. to a non-believer. Many hours on my knees. Travis has done praise and worship for youth when I worked with youth. I love his sister, Kathy…and him. Never get to see him, but stay caught up with family through Kathy and her good friend, my little sister.

  35. 35
    Susan says:

I am really looking forward to attending the remaining sessions, if it is OK to do so. I would love being immersed in His word again on a topic that all us ladies need to be reminded of on occasion.Thankyou Beth for your generosity in sharing your gift of teaching with us!

    carol alery says:

I have done several of your studies and must say they are life changing. But the one on Esther spoke so deeply to me that I had to share with you what I feel God has put on my heart. Thank you Beth for these Studies.

As I have been studying the book of Esther I realize that maybe one woman can make a difference if she trusts in the Lord.
The campaign on my heart is for the people of our Nation right now. Not so much a political but more for this nation to turn its heart back to obedience to God.
My grandson had to change schools and now takes a school bus where the kids are cussing and swearing so much that he is being affected by it. This is only one of many things that are out of control in this nation. I know of so much injustice going on it overwhelms me.
So I taught if women like Esther could make a difference so can I by reach out with this letter.
First I remembered the words I read when I went to the Holocaust Museum.
“A country is not just what it does it is also what it tolerates.”
We can turn a blind eye and think it is not affecting us but it will if we do nothing. Right now we tolerate a lot of things in the name of choice. But when those choices start hurting other than it’s time to re-evaluate the situation. And I believe it is that time now!
Second the Bible tells us if we confess our sin and bow our knee and pray God will Heal our Land,
2 Chronicles 7:14. And I feel right now America is at the place where we need confess our sin and bow our knee and pray for God to Heal this land.

So I am asking you to join me and mark your calendars with the dated of April 5th, 6th, and 7th in a 3 day fast and prayer for this land of America and its people. Too pray for God to heal this land and stop this madness all around.
I will leave the details of the fast and prayer up to you. But you can go on the web and look up fasting for yourself. One site I found was Campus of Crusades which seems to have a good web site on this subject. I also plan to send you weekly reminders and updates as we lead up to this event.
My request is that you will take this to heart and share this with as many people as you know and maybe thousands would be willing to join you and me in this quest for God to heal our land, which may just mean healing in our own homes. If you have any questions please contact me and I will be more than glad to answer your questions the best I can.
Thank you for reading and standing with me at such a time as this.
    Carol
